"bump!"
The door was suddenly flung open, startling the three of them. When they turned around, they saw it was their dorm buddy, Wang Yang.
"That's great, now all four of us are together."
Fang Hang looked at Wang Yang and said.
"What's all here?"
When Wang Yang returned, he was in a good mood, but he saw that the three of them looked bewildered.
"Hey! It's Yang Han again. He picked up a red envelope somewhere, but who knew it was some kind of evil thing? We're trying to figure out how to save him!"
"What? You picked up the red envelope I left by the flower bed?"
Wang Yang's voice was starting to crack.
"You idiot, why did you have to pick that thing? You're just asking for trouble!"
Seeing Wang Yang's anxious and exasperated expression, the three of them were dumbfounded.
"You...you put that thing there?"
Wang Yang: "……………………"
Li Xin was speechless. He glanced at Yang Han, lit a candle for him, and said, "No one else would do that."
The atmosphere in the dormitory seemed to freeze instantly, and Yang Han's roar exploded like a bomb in the small space.
His eyes were bloodshot with anger, like two burning flames, staring intently at Wang Yang. His hands clenched into fists involuntarily, and his body trembled slightly, a mixture of anger and fear after being betrayed.
"You fucking dare to harm me? I've been bringing you food every day, have you lost your conscience?"
Every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth, filled with boundless anger.
Yang Han felt that all his sincerity had been wasted, and the trust he had placed in her had been ruthlessly shattered at that moment.
Wang Yang lowered his head, not daring to look directly into Yang Han's piercing gaze; his face was full of guilt and regret.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."
His voice was low and hoarse.
Little did Yang Han know that he was incredibly unlucky to run into this situation.
He knew that his actions had brought Yang Han utter ruin, but it was all too late to undo the damage; fate seemed to have played a cruel joke on him.
Just then, Li Xin's voice broke the deadlock, "Don't worry, I've got you covered. My aunt and the others will be at the dorm at eight o'clock, so we can just stand behind them."
As he spoke, he hung up the phone, his face beaming with confidence, as if he had grasped a lifeline.
His confident demeanor eased the tense atmosphere somewhat, but the others remained uneasy.
Fang Hang's curiosity was piqued at this moment. He looked at Wang Yang with a question in his eyes, "By the way, Wang Yang, why are you looking for a scapegoat?"
This issue made the atmosphere in the dormitory, which had just eased, tense again.
Wang Yang fell silent, and time seemed to stand still at that moment.
After a long silence, he spoke slowly, each word carrying an immense weight.
"I played with the Ouija board with those idiots at 404. The spirit came, but they couldn't get rid of her. I was scared, so I called my aunt's house in the countryside. My great-aunt told me that the spirit was very powerful and that I had to be a substitute for her to survive."
His eyes revealed a deep fear as he recalled the scene of playing with the Ouija board, as if the terrifying image was right before his eyes.
In the dim light, they sat around the table, nervously and excitedly summoning the Ouija board. But when the mysterious power truly descended, they realized they had opened Pandora's box.
Now, however, Yang Han has to bear the consequences of all this. The look in his eyes as he looked at Yang Han was full of complex emotions, including guilt, helplessness, and, more than anything, fear of the unknown.
At this moment, Yang Han felt that fate was playing tricks on him. The ever-present fear was like a fog in the darkness, tightly enveloping the entire dormitory.
The dormitory was deathly silent; everyone was absorbed in their own fears and thoughts.
Yang Han's anger was gradually replaced by fear of the unknown; he didn't know what awaited him.
Wang Yang struggled with regret and fear of the Ouija board, Li Xin appeared calm but there was a hint of worry in his eyes, and Fang Hang was processing the shocking news.
"So, who's the first person the Ouija board will call tonight?"
Yang Han asked curiously.
Wang Yang: "……………………"
He slowly raised his hand, pointing his finger at himself.
Yang Han's body swayed slightly, as if the last bit of strength he had left had been drained away by this movement, and his face wore a bitter smile that was even more unsightly than crying.
He suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, as if an invisible hand was gripping his throat.
"Xin'er, I'm adding money, hurry up and get your aunt and the others over."
He practically screamed it out, his voice filled with panic. His eyes were wide open, bloodshot, and his hands frantically searched for his phone, as if grasping at a last straw.
In the dormitory, when Li Xin heard the words "add more money," he perked up like a vigilant hunting dog, his ears gleaming and his eyes flashing with a desire for money.
"Add more money! How much?" he asked eagerly, leaning forward slightly, as if afraid of missing a single word.
Yang Han gritted his teeth, looking pained, "Add...add two hundred, I don't have any more money, is that alright?"
His brows were furrowed, and he almost bit his lip until it bled. Two hundred yuan was a considerable expense for him, but now, to save his life, he had no choice but to grit his teeth and spend it.
"Alright! I'll call and urge my aunt and the others."
After receiving the reply, Li Xin rushed to a corner of the dormitory to make a phone call, bowing and scraping as he spoke, showering everyone with compliments.
Wang Yang looked towards the horizon, where the setting sun, like blood, was plummeting toward the horizon at an astounding speed, while the night, like a ferocious beast, was closing in from all directions.
