Chapter 148 The factory officially begins production

As the workday was drawing to a close, the factory had recruited all the new workers and filled all the positions, and there were still quite a few people looking for work.

The five young security guards prepared for Liu Gong completed their onboarding procedures and filled out forms before Liu Gong took them away to arrange their work.

Because Liu Gong has difficulty walking, Zhao Huanhuan arranged an office for him on the first floor, with a security room next to it, which is where the other five people rest when they are not on duty. There is also a study room next to it where they can study.

Yes, Zhao Huanhuan's purpose in recruiting young people is to give them opportunities to learn. They can improve their positions through their own learning, and the study room is right next to the library.

She treats all employees the same. The library has large desks where people can read and study. Workers who don't work shifts can come here to learn—foreign languages, cultural knowledge, technical skills, anything. As long as they need a book they don't have at home, Zhao Huanhuan will arrange for someone to buy it for them.

After Liu Gong and his men left, Zhao Huanhuan handed over the office staff to her secretary, Shen Jialing, to arrange their respective offices. Zhao Huanhuan then addressed the rest of the staff, saying that they should make arrangements at home for the next three days and return to work in three days to begin assigning their work positions.

The team leader and workshop director were selected from among them. It is hoped that all workers will arrive and leave work on time, work hard, and those who perform well will be rewarded.

As the sun set, the workers gradually dispersed, and Zhao Huanhuan breathed a sigh of relief, finally having everything arranged.

Starting tomorrow, the raw materials will be delivered one after another; she has arranged for them all to be delivered within three days.

After the workers had all left work, Zhao Huanhuan said goodbye to Liu Gong, saying that there was no need to arrange shifts for tonight, and that shifts would begin tomorrow when goods were delivered.

Now the factory is just a bunch of machines that no one can move.

Liu Gong agreed.

The next day, when Zhao Huanhuan arrived at the factory, Liu Gong and five other people had already finished their morning exercise and were directing the delivery truck to deliver raw materials to the warehouse.

Zhao Huanhuan's raw materials are cotton and yarn. Her factory mainly spins cotton, while she directly imports linen and other fiber yarns as finished products for textile use.

Yes, his spinning workshop doesn't yet have enough capacity to support the start-up of her textile workshop, so Zhao Huanhuan directly ordered yarn from other state-owned textile factories to spin fabric for underwear.

The first type of fabric she wanted to weave was ribbed cotton, the kind with added elastic fibers. There were two types with cotton content: one was called Lycra cotton, which contained 90% cotton and 10% elastic fibers. This type of fabric is characterized by its elasticity, softness, skin-friendly feel, and good breathability.

This elastic fiber is actually spandex fiber. The technology for producing this elastic fiber was introduced from abroad and has not yet become popular, but Zhao Huanhuan knows that it is available in China at this time.

She also found a source for this elastic yarn. Although it was a bit more expensive, she wasn't worried; she could earn it back.

Currently, no domestic underwear textile factories have added elastic yarn to their underwear. All underwear is made of pure cotton or polyester, or a combination of both, which has no elasticity and is not as comfortable and form-fitting as underwear with added elastic yarn.

Another type contains 35% cotton, 60% polyester fiber, and 5% elastic fiber. Compared to the previous type, this fabric has less elasticity and a lower cotton content, but it is very durable, does not fade easily, and is not easy to tear, so it can be worn for several years.

Suitable for the needs of the general public, a set of underwear is not easy to wear out and can be worn for two or three years.

However, the disadvantage of this fabric is that it is not as soft, absorbent, or breathable as the fabric mentioned above.

However, in retrospect, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, Zhao Huanhuan knew that this type of underwear would be the one that would increase production volume in the future. She was also certain that the 35% cotton content had to be added. With the addition, this type of underwear would not be prone to pilling when worn, and it would also be less likely to generate static electricity in winter.

Underwear made from these two types of fabrics falls into two price ranges: one is high-end, form-fitting fitness underwear, which is popular but not in large quantities; the other is mid-range, form-fitting underwear, which sells in large quantities.

However, when weaving this fabric with added elastic yarn, she needs to use the machines she just bought.

She used the old machines to weave only pure cotton and cotton-polyester-cotton blends with acrylic.

In other words, Zhao Huanhuan has a big appetite; she wants both rich and poor people to become her customers.

Currently, she doesn't have a professional lingerie manufacturing team, so she has already signed a cooperation agreement with the Second Garment Factory for this year's orders. The Second Garment Factory will process the goods for her and attach the Bao'an lingerie tags to them.

Zhao Huanhuan has already ordered the hang tags and labels; they'll be back in a few days.

She also registered the brand Anbao with the industrial and commercial administration department. After that, she found a printing factory to make her own brand hangtags and trademarks. An'an helped design the logo.

A simple logo designed using A and B, yet simple and stylish, was adopted by Zhao Huanhuan.

The design came from my son, so we must adopt it.

With everything prepared in this way, Zhao Huanhuan's factory officially opened and began production on the eighth day of the ninth lunar month.

Zhao Huanhuan had planned what to produce long ago. When recruiting office staff, she mainly looked for people who had studied at the textile university and established a product department.

The product department's task is to receive Zhao Huanhuan's task orders and assign production tasks to the production workshop according to the task orders.

The Product Department oversees three workshops: spinning, dyeing, and weaving.

Zhao Huanhuan recruited people who were all industry insiders. They knew exactly what kind of yarn Zhao Huanhuan needed, what color to dye it, and so on.

Zhao Huanhuan assigned the work and told them to go and keep an eye on the workshop below.

The spinning process involves many steps. Currently, Zhao Huanhuan has them produce a small quantity first. After spinning, the yarn will be sent to the dyeing workshop so she can see the finished product of her own yarn.

The dyeing workshops are not in the same east and south sections as the spinning and weaving workshops; they are in the north section behind the office building, in a separate building complex.

The water is good here, making it convenient for them to study staining.

Because this step is important, Zhao Huanhuan spent a lot of money to recruit a master craftsman with more than ten years of experience to be the workshop director, leading the workers in the dyeing process.

However, they are currently dyeing a portion of the white gauze that Zhao Huanhuan ordered, wanting them to be dyed into the colorful threads she desires.

She wanted to see the effect of the colored cotton being woven.

These past few days, they've been dyeing this. There aren't many people here, just six including the owners. A few of them are learning and working at the same time.

On the day the factory officially started operations, there were many things and problems. Various departments were constantly coordinating their resources. Zhao Huanhuan and the people in the office were also constantly going around to different workshops to solve problems together.

After a busy day, Zhao Huanhuan and the office staff stood at the main gate to see the workers off. Everyone was flattered but also very happy.

The work isn't tiring, there are people to teach you if you don't understand something, and you can learn. The boss and leaders are kind and approachable, so everyone feels that joining this factory was the right decision.
