After listening, Lin Yuan raised an eyebrow and glanced at Zhao Huanhuan. She hadn't realized that Zhao Huanhuan was a delicate person who was afraid of the dark and pain, but she did know that she was incredibly strong and could uproot a willow tree.
He smiled and said, "Okay, she will be my wife from now on, and I will naturally cherish her."
Zhao Huanhuan glanced at him silently, feeling that his words sounded like he was showing off.
"Du Rui, find him a white shirt he can wear," Zhao Huanhuan added.
Du Rui then remembered that they had come to buy clothes, so he quickly turned around to check the size, picked up a piece of clothing, and said, "Let him try this on."
Lin Yuan asked, "How much?"
"It's 20 for outsiders, but if old classmates come, we can charge 18," Du Rui said to Zhao Huanhuan. "A few days ago, Liu Helong and Jia Jianguo from our class also came to buy some, and they all paid 18."
Zhao Huanhuan nodded, "Okay, thank you."
"Try taking off your coat," Zhao Huanhuan said.
Lin Yuan responded softly, took off her coat, tried it on, and nodded, "It fits perfectly."
Just as Zhao Huanhuan was about to pay, Lin Yuan stopped her, saying, "I'll pay myself. You can keep your money."
"No, you gave me a gift, but I haven't given you one yet. This shirt is the first gift I've ever given you." She brought him here because she wanted to buy him a gift.
When Lin Yuan heard that she wanted to give her a gift, she immediately stopped trying to persuade her and smiled, "Okay, thank you Huanhuan."
Zhao Huan smiled and paid eighteen yuan.
Du Rui felt numb watching the interaction between the two. The girl he had a crush on already had a boyfriend, and it wasn't him.
"Comrade Lin, why don't you wear it? Zhao Huanhuan is also wearing a white shirt. If you wear it too, you'll look more compatible." Du Rui said these polite words to every customer out of professional habit, but at this moment, his heart ached as he said them.
Lin Yuan paused, glancing at Zhao Huanhuan, and nodded, "Okay."
He simply took off his white shirt and the short-sleeved military uniform underneath, leaving only the white shirt over his vest. He neatly folded the uniform on the counter, folded his hat neatly, and placed it together with the clothes. He then took the cloth bag that Du Rui handed him and put the uniform inside.
"Thank you, Du." Lin Yuan smiled at Du Rui, picked up the cloth bag, and said to Zhao Huanhuan, "Shall we go?"
"Okay, let's go!" Zhao Huanhuan looked him up and down. He looked very handsome in his white shirt, unlike when he wore his military uniform. He had a different kind of charm.
The key point is that he even tucked his shirt into his pants, which made him look very capable and also made his legs look straighter.
Lin Yuan received the admiration in Zhao Huanhuan's eyes, and her heart immediately felt a little happier, and her smile became even brighter.
Zhao Huanhuan said goodbye to Du Rui and left with Lin Yuan.
Du Rui silently watched the two people's backs as they walked away. The smile on his face disappeared, and he silently slumped on the counter, completely losing his spirit. "Mom, I've already lost my love before I've even started dating."
He got a formal job this year and originally wanted to go find Zhao Huanhuan, but then he found out that she had been sent to the countryside.
Maybe we're just not meant to be!
After Zhao Huanhuan and Lin Yuan left the mall, Zhao Huanhuan gave an awkward smile and said, "I'm sorry, Brother Lin, I didn't know I would actually run into him. I haven't seen him since graduation."
Lin Yuan smiled indulgently at her, "I know, he just said that you two haven't seen each other for more than two years."
Just because Huanhuan has forgotten what he looks like, he's not worried at all.
Zhao Huanhuan stood beside him, glanced down at the two of them, and suddenly felt that they looked like they were wearing matching outfits.
As Zhao Huanhuan came out of the mall, she saw a photo studio across the street; it was a state-owned photo studio.
Zhao Huanhuan pulled Lin Yuan's arm and walked towards the photo studio, smiling as she said, "Let's go take pictures."
Lin Yuan responded, and seeing someone riding by on a bicycle, he pulled Zhao Huanhuan close, shielding her in his arms. After the cyclist passed, he took her hand and led her across the street into the photo studio on the other side.
There were several people waiting inside. When they came in, a middle-aged man greeted them and asked, "Are you taking photos as a couple or as individuals?"
Zhao Huanhuan nodded, "Two photos of both people, two inches, is that okay?"
"Sure, one-inch ones are 80 cents each, and two-inch ones are one dollar each. How many do you want?"
Zhao Huanhuan asked Lin Yuan, "Do you need a passport photo?"
Lin Yuan shook her head. "No need. I have one in the army. If you don't have one on hand, you can take a one-inch photo and keep it. Sometimes you need a one-inch photo to apply for some documents."
Zhao Huanhuan nodded, turned to the middle-aged man and said, "Take one 1-inch photo for me, and print four. Also, take two 2-inch photos of the two of us, and print three."
"Let's wash four sheets for the two people too!" Lin Yuan said, knowing why Zhao Huanhuan wanted so many sheets for the two people.
The man nodded and gave them a receipt, which Lin Yuan eagerly paid.
Zhao Huanhuan chuckled and didn't argue with him. After Lin Yuan paid the money, Zhao Huanhuan asked again, "How many days will it take to pick it up? The sooner the better, as we're leaving Yuancheng in a few days."
"It will take at least three days. Forget it, how about you come pick it up the day after tomorrow afternoon? I'll ask the driver to expedite it for you." The middle-aged man was very kind. He took their tickets and specially wrote "expedited" on them, indicating that they could pick it up the day after tomorrow afternoon.
Zhao Huanhuan quickly expressed her gratitude.
The man smiled and told them to sit to the side and wait for their names to be called.
While the two were taking their picture, the photographer praised them, "You two are so cooperative! Oh, right, get a little closer, smile, smile sweeter! Yes, oh, that's what it looks like to be getting married. I've taken pictures of several couples today, and none of them even had a smile on their faces." The photographer shook his head as he spoke, and the picture was taken in one take. These two were not only photogenic, but also very cooperative.
