"Zhang Xingrong, could you please tell your family what you're doing? What if something happens to you if you suddenly run away? You're a girl, don't you know?"
He was so angry that he almost died. Last night, when Zhang Hewu came to ask him if he had seen his sister, he was shocked, thinking that she had been arrested again. After asking for a long time, he found out that she had said she went to the town hospital that morning and had not returned home.
The group spent a good while in the town hospital, asking if anyone had seen Zhang Xingrong. Fortunately, Zhang Xingrong's name was well-known in the town hospital. An elderly woman accompanying her sick son confided in him that she had met Zhang Xingrong at the black market in the county town, and that he might have gone there. That's when he drove to the county town to look for her.
But how could there be people in the black market at night? He and Zhang Hewu went to look for it separately.
So he drove around, circled the road between the county town and Lugou Village twice, and then came back to the city. He almost went crazy.
Zhang Xingrong didn't understand what was going on for a while: "Then why are you here?"
Could it be that he is here to find her?
"What do you think?" Lu Ran's face was still grim. "Why don't you bring others with you when you come to the county? You're a woman, can you please not run to dangerous places?"
What kind of place is a black market? It's a place where all kinds of people mix, and you could get caught at any time. How dare a girl like her go to a place like that? She's really brave!
Zhang Xingrong felt somewhat embarrassed: "You... you didn't spend the whole night looking for me, did you?"
Lu Ran didn't say anything, but Zhang Xingrong already understood.
"Sorry, I was supposed to go back yesterday, but something happened on the way. By the way, how did you know I was out? Where's my brother?"
Lu Ran was still very angry, but he still explained: "He is with Lin Zi and is still looking for you in the city."
Zhang Xingrong didn't ask any more questions and said hurriedly, "Then you go find my brother first. I'll send the child home first, and then I'll find you."
"You think I'm stupid? I'll leave you alone for a while and come back to find you later." Lu Ganwu almost jumped up and down, "Get in the car!"
There was no choice, so Zhang Xingrong took Yongzi into the car.
After getting in the car, we arrived outside Zhao Yongzi's house in a short while.
Zhao Yongzi lived in a dilapidated house. Early in the morning, his sister was sitting at the door waiting for him.
"Little sister!" Zhao Yongzi ran up to his sister as soon as he saw her, "Why did you come out?"
Zhang Xingrong only noticed when she went upstairs that Zhao Xiaoxi's foot was swollen, apparently injured. She asked Lu Ran to hold her tightly on the bed while she checked on her.
"How did you hurt your foot?"
Zhao Yongzi didn't know what to say, and Zhao Xiaoxi also lowered his head.
Zhang Xingrong sighed and touched the bone. Zhao Xiaoxi hissed in pain, "I'll straighten your bone. It will hurt, but if I don't straighten it, you'll be lame in the future."
Zhao Yongzi became nervous when he heard this: "What should we do then?"
"Bear with the pain. I'll straighten the bones and fix them for her." Zhang Xingrong said, turning back to instruct Lu Ran, "Go find some wooden boards, or bamboo boards will do, as big as your finger."
Lu Ran nodded and went out.
Zhang Xingrong turned around and went out for a while, then took out the medicine from the space before returning to the house: "This is the medicine for applying, take it first. This is the medicinal wine, drink it, keep it."
Zhao Yongzi nodded hurriedly.
Zhang Xingrong then went up to adjust Zhao Xiaoxi's bones. Zhao Xiaoxi cried in pain, but she had good patience and did not scream.
Just as the bone was healed, Lu Ran returned with a bunch of freshly cut wooden boards. Zhang Xingrong used the boards to secure her foot: "Remember, you can't get out of bed for half a month. Don't move your foot, okay?"
