Behind the school, there was a field of vegetables. Beyond that, it was rather deserted, with a forest. It had probably been a while since anyone had been there; the trees were lush and very quiet. Further in, she saw a row of dilapidated houses against the wall. She took some steamed buns and bread from her space and put them in a cloth bag. She also transferred Zhou's mother's food to a wooden box before continuing on her way.
Zhang Xingrong didn't know where the person lived, so when he approached the house, he shouted, "Is anyone there? Is Mr. Jin here?"
After a pause, when no one came out, she walked in, shouting. When she reached the second room, she heard a sound coming from the third room in front of her. Then, an old man in tattered clothes walked out and stared at Zhang Xingrong with vigilance.
Zhang Xingrong stopped and looked at the person opposite him kindly. He heard that there was only one person living here, and he guessed that this person was Mr. Jin.
"You must be Mr. Jin, hello. I am a student at your school."
The old man didn't say anything, still staring at Zhang Xingrong warily, wondering if he was crazy or had already woken up?
Or maybe he was just going crazy on purpose?
No matter what it was, Zhang Xingrong was not qualified to explore it. Seeing that the old man was alert, she did not dare to get close. She put the thing on a stone.
"Old man, I heard you were a very good doctor in the past. Although the world is unpredictable, I admire you very much. These meals are my little token of my appreciation. I'll leave them here and leave first."
After saying that, she left neatly. The ragged old man at the door stared at Zhang Xingrong for a long time. When he was sure that she would not come back, he hurried up. He opened the lunch box and saw the food inside. He grabbed it and ate it.
This looks really crazy.
Zhang Xingrong was hiding behind a big tree. Seeing the old man like this, he felt mixed emotions.
Zhang Xingrong watched the old man grab his food and eat, then carry his cloth bag back into the house before leaving. She thought, "From now on, I'll send him some food every day at noon. He's saved people before, so it's okay to send him some food now."
She went back to the dormitory to rest and attended a large professional class in the afternoon. Since she had no classes in the afternoon, she packed up and went back first.
As she left the school gate, she saw Lu Ran standing in front of her. His tall figure leaned on his bicycle, exuding a manly freedom in the afternoon sun, attracting many passersby.
Zhang Xingrong walked over puzzledly: "Why are you here so early?"
When she didn't have classes, she skipped self-study and went straight home. But Lu Ran didn't know that, did he? He wouldn't always come early and wait for her all afternoon, right?
Lu Ran looked at her with a smile: "I secretly looked at your schedule and found out that you only have one class this afternoon."
"Going back to the Lu family?" Zhang Xingrong asked.
Lu Ran shook his head: "It's still early, do you want to go for a walk?"
Zhang Xingrong nodded and patted the package hanging on her body. "Let's go to the post office first. I want to send something to my uncle, and then go to the 300th Post Office."
She regularly sent things to her uncle in the Northern Wilderness, including food and snacks. Of course, she also sent one to the director. To make her uncle's life easier, she sent them all.
The rehabilitation is estimated to be achieved next year, so Jin Haiwen can only be patient this year.
The two of them went to send the things, and then went to the Third Department Store to check out the shops.
