The whole way, Xue's mother was terrified, afraid that something had really happened to Gu Jingyuan. She couldn't even sleep, because every time she closed her eyes, she would see Gu Jingyuan unconscious.
In just a day or two, Xue's mother became very haggard.
After getting off the train, Xue's mother went straight to the hospital.
In the afternoon, Shen Qingmiao approached the canteen chef and asked him if he could borrow the kitchen to cook for himself. At first, the canteen chef disagreed, but after Shen Qingmiao's repeated requests and the payment of a usage fee, he finally agreed.
He also agreed to bring Shen Qingmiao the vegetables she needed.
After expressing her deep gratitude, Shen Qingmiao returned to the ward and asked Shen Jianmin to look after her second brother while she went to check on Gu Jingyuan's ward.
Before dinner, Shen Qingmiao told Shen Jianjun that Gu Jingyuan's family seemed to have not arrived yet and he had no one to take care of him. Shen Qingmiao suggested that she go over to help take care of them first, and let her third brother take care of him here.
Shen Jianjun first felt sorry for his sister, and then felt guilty towards Gu Jingyuan, and was unable to make a decision for a while.
Shen Qingmiao cut the Gordian knot and said, "It's settled. Third brother, you take care of second brother first. I'll go to Gu Jingyuan's ward to check on him."
"No problem, Qingmiao, you go." Shen Jianmin agreed readily.
Since Gu Jingyuan was still asleep, his ward was very quiet, with only the sounds of medical equipment. Shen Qingmiao walked in, closed the door, and sat next to Gu Jingyuan.
As one person watches another fall asleep, time passes quietly.
"Why aren't you awake yet, Gu Jingyuan?"
"If you don't wake up soon, you won't get any of the delicious food I made."
"Also, you haven't explained to me clearly what your intention is in giving me the watch."
Thinking about his own random thoughts those days, Shen Qingmiao really wanted to ask Gu Jingyuan what he thought.
"Wake up quickly, Gu Jingyuan."
"I'm worried about you."
Shen Qingmiao couldn't help but reach out to touch Gu Jingyuan's face. Just when she touched Gu Jingyuan, a pair of dark eyes suddenly opened!
