Chapter 11

The eldest child said as a matter of course: "Stupid, because you are the younger sister and I am the older brother, the older brother is more powerful."

The brother knows things that the sister doesn't know.

Erniu blinked and nodded, accepting it well.

Then he looked at the eldest child with admiration and said in a soft voice: "Brother is so awesome!"

Big Boy snorted proudly. If he had a tail, it would probably be raised to the sky.

Liang Jinheng looked at the two children, and a smile appeared in his eyes.

However, when I thought of what Liang Hongling had just said, my heart gradually sank again.

Although Liang Hongling's words were vague and incoherent just now, Liang Jinheng still understood the general idea.

Wen Wan went to wash clothes and accidentally fell into the river, and then caught a cold.

Liang Hongling also said that she accidentally fell into the water while washing clothes, and no one pushed her, and it had nothing to do with her parents or her.

But when Liang Jinheng asked her who Wen Wan was helping to wash clothes, Liang Hongling suddenly stopped talking.

Liang Jinheng guessed the answer directly from her guilty and evasive gaze.

Because Dr. Qu was still there, Liang Jinheng didn't vent his anger even though he was angry.

Wen Wan hasn't woken up yet, and he's worried that something might happen if he leaves, so he has to stay here for now.

Therefore, he planned to find out why Wen Wan went to the river to wash clothes so early in the morning in such a cold weather, and why Liang Hongling, a grown-up girl, also wanted her sister-in-law to wash her clothes.

He didn't marry a wife to ask her to go home and serve his sister-in-law.

Liang Jinheng stayed by Wen Wan's bed, wanting to talk more with the two children and get closer to them, but he didn't know what topics the children liked.

So after thinking about it, he opened the travel bag beside him and took out the things he brought back.

He didn't bring much home this time, but he had a lot to eat.

Thinking that his family was in the countryside, even with the money and notes he sent back, it was not very convenient to buy things. He had to go to the supply and marketing cooperative in town to buy them.

What's more, the supply and marketing cooperative didn't have a wide variety of items, and the two children probably had never seen many of them.

What Liang Jinheng took out was a bag of dried meat that his comrade brought from his hometown in Inner Mongolia.

The dried meat was fragrant and chewy. His comrades didn't give him much, so Liang Jinheng only got a few pieces. However, he only tasted a little and took the rest back.

"Big boy, take this dried meat and eat it with your sister."

Liang Jinheng handed the dried meat in his hand to Da Wa.

The eldest child looked at the blackened stick-like object in his hand with a look of doubt on his face: "Dad, what is this?"

Liang Jinheng explained dryly, "Jerky is delicious."

He couldn't come up with any other words to describe it.

When he heard it was food, the eldest boy took it without hesitation.

There are five pieces of jerky in total.

The eldest boy placed the five sticks in his two hands, one in one hand and four in the other.

Seeing this, Liang Jinheng was a little confused about how Dabao divided it.

But before he could ask out of curiosity, he heard Dabao speak in a skilled tone.

"These are for grandparents, aunt, and second uncle, and these are for mom, me, and my sister!"

When Liang Jinheng saw which hand Da Wa was looking at when he said this, his expression changed.

Because the eldest son was talking about giving it to his grandparents, he was looking at the hand where the four pieces of dried meat were placed.

The hand that contained only one piece of dried meat was the one that was given to Wen Wan and her two children to eat.

Liang Jinheng felt a little upset and couldn't help asking, "Big Boy, who taught you to divide it like this?"

The eldest child raised his head with a puzzled expression, as if asking, "Why would Dad ask such a question?"

"That's what grandma said."

"She said my sister and I were little kids and only needed to eat a little, and that mom was thin and didn't need to eat much either. She and grandpa were our elders and we should be filial to them."

Liang Jinheng's eyes grew heavy as he continued to ask.

"What about my aunt and uncle? Why should they each get one?"
