Chapter 27
Both of them tacitly avoided mentioning Ji Zhiqi's family or the business competition between him and his father Ji Wei.
Some wounds need time to heal, and some topics need to be brought up at a more appropriate time.
That night, they slept in each other's arms, sharing each other's body warmth and seeking comfort and peace in the silence.
On the third day, Song Shiyu had to leave because he had to visit his grandfather in the countryside.
In order to avoid possible paparazzi and influencing Ji Zhiqi, he chose to go to the airport alone.
After the plane landed, he immediately sent a message to Ji Zhiqi to report that he was safe.

"Grandpa, I'm here." Song Shiyu put his luggage away and took out the fine tea he brought specially for his grandfather. He skillfully boiled water, warmed the pot, washed the tea, and brewed it, his movements smooth and flowing.
Grandpa sat in a rattan chair, quietly watching him busy himself. When the aroma of tea rose, he picked up the teacup and took a sip. Then he put it down, his eyes calm but full of weight, and asked directly, "Xiaojiu, you still only like men, right?"
Song Shiyu's hand, which was pouring tea, paused imperceptibly, and his heart sank suddenly.
Did Grandpa know something? He calmed himself, raised his head, and answered honestly, "Yes, Grandpa. Nothing has changed."
Grandpa took another sip of tea, his deep eyes fell on Song Shiyu's face, and his tone became a little serious: "If Grandpa wanted to persuade you now to find a good girl to start a family, would you blame Grandpa?"
Song Shiyu put down the tea set in his hand, sat up straight, and looked back at his grandfather with a firm gaze: "Grandpa, I won't blame you. I understand your thoughts. But I won't marry a girl because of this. It's not fair to her or to me."
Looking at his grandson's unyielding eyes, the grandfather sighed and said in a more serious tone: "Song Shiyu, our Song family cannot be without an heir to carry on the family tradition. Do you understand?" He rarely addressed him by his full name, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter.
Song Shiyu understands that his grandfather, as an older generation, values family inheritance, but he has his own principles and bottom line.
"Grandpa, I understand your concerns. As for the child, please rest assured, I will find a way to solve it."
Upon hearing this, my grandfather frowned and slammed the teacup down on the table, spilling a few drops of tea: "Think of a way? Are you talking about surrogacy?" There was disapproval in his voice.
Song Shiyu picked up the tea towel beside him, silently wiped the water stains on the table, and nodded: "Yes, this is the only way I can think of that does not violate my sexual orientation and can also continue my bloodline."
"I'm not worried about the money!" Grandpa said, his tone a little excited. "I'm worried about the girl! For the sake of a child, an innocent woman is forced to endure the pain of pregnancy and even face risks. This... How can you be so cruel? Can't you just take a step back and shoulder the responsibility you should bear?!"
Song Shiyu lowered his head slightly, his posture respectful, but his tone was extremely firm: "Grandpa, I said, I will take care of the child's matter. There will definitely be an heir with the blood of the Song family. But my marriage and feelings can only be decided by myself."
Seeing that he was unmoved, grandpa knew that it was pointless to continue talking. He sighed heavily, stood up, and walked out of the tea room with his hands behind his back. He was obviously not in the mood to enjoy tea.
Song Shiyu quietly put away the tea sets, cleaned them and put them in order.
He walked into the yard and saw his grandfather watering the vegetable and flower gardens, so he wanted to go up and help.
"You don't need to." Grandpa didn't even turn his head, his voice was a little muffled, but his hands didn't stop moving.
After watering a furrow of land, he suddenly stood up, looked at the lush green mountains in the distance, and asked casually, "Have you met someone you like?"
Song Shiyu was stunned for a moment. He didn't expect his grandfather to suddenly ask this.
He didn't want to hide it and answered truthfully: "Yes, Grandpa. How... did you know?"
Grandpa turned around and looked at him with complicated eyes: "Looking at the way you rejected me just now, so bluntly, and without any room for negotiation in your tone, I guessed it was almost right. Since there is one, then... bring it back and let's take a look."
Hearing the softening in his grandfather's tone, Song Shiyu felt warm in his heart, but with a hint of bitterness, he gently replied, "Okay."
After helping his grandfather water the flowers, plants and vegetables in the yard, Song Shiyu took the time to send a message to Ji Zhiqi.
Ji Zhiqi still has a week of rest before the next recording, and Song Shiyu told him to have a good rest.
Ji Zhiqi replied that he had gone home to rest.
I stayed at my grandfather's house for two days. Although the old man didn't say it, he still cared about his grandson through his actions.
In the end, perhaps because he felt that Song Shiyu was an eyesore, or perhaps because he wanted him to go back and deal with business, he "drove" him away.
Song Shiyu originally planned to fly directly from his grandfather's place to find Ji Zhiqi, but he didn't expect that the company's backlog of affairs would come like snowflakes, nailing him firmly to the office.
