Chapter 38

Chapter 38

Xiaoxi was stunned watching from the side, and was so anxious that she wanted to drag the doctor in directly, but was stopped by Lai Zhou's meaningful look.

Lai Zhou raised his chin towards the door and said to the little boy next to him, "Let's go. Don't disturb Mr. Song's rest." Then he hugged his male companion who was still confused and left the room.

When he passed Xiaoxi, who was frozen in place, he paused and whispered a reminder: "Little girl, I advise you to leave quickly. When he comes, it will be inconvenient for you to stay here."

Xiaoxi was stunned at first, then she instantly understood Laizhou's intention and the special nature of the current situation, and her cheeks suddenly turned red.

She glanced gratefully at Lai Zhou's back, then turned around to see Ji Zhiqi running down the corridor like a whirlwind. His face was filled with undisguised panic and anger, his hair disheveled, his breathing rapid; it was obvious he had arrived in a hurry.

Xiaoxi stuffed the room card into Ji Zhiqi's hand as if she had seen a savior, and said quickly: "Mr. Ji, he's inside! Mr. Song is in a very bad condition!" After that, she lowered her head and quickly left this dangerous place.

Ji Zhiqi used the room card to open the door. The scene that came into his eyes made his pupils shrink suddenly. His heart seemed to be grasped by an invisible hand, and the pain was so severe that he almost suffocated.

Song Shiyu was curled up on the big bed, the quilt had been kicked aside long ago, and his skin was abnormally flushed.

His brows were furrowed, and he tossed and turned unbearably, as if he was enduring great pain. Broken sobs escaped from his bitten lips, and crystal tears hung in the corners of his eyes.

This scene made Ji Zhiqi's eyes red instantly, not because of lust, but because of overwhelming heartache and anger!

He rushed over and hugged Song Shiyu tightly in his arms, pressed his slightly cool cheek against his hot forehead, trying to soothe his pain with a kiss.

"Woo..." Song Shiyu responded in a daze, trying hard to see who was hugging him, but his vision was blurry.

Ji Zhiqi leaned against his burning ear, trying his best to suppress his trembling. His voice was low and gentle, with a reassuring magic: "Baby, it's me."

Hearing this familiar voice and feeling this familiar embrace, Song Shiyu's body, which had been tense to the extreme, suddenly relaxed, and all his defenses and resistance collapsed in an instant.

He hugged Ji Zhiqi tightly like a drowning man grabbing a piece of driftwood, burying his burning cheek in the crook of his neck, calling out over and over in a sobbing voice: "Ji Zhiqi... I feel so bad..."

"I know, I know... I'm sorry, I'm late..." Ji Zhiqi kissed his hair, forehead, and eyes with heartache, and his arms tightened, as if he wanted to rub him into his bones and blood, and use his presence to dispel his pain.

In Ji Zhiqi's embrace and soothing caress, Song Shiyu's tense body gradually relaxed, as if he had found his only support.

He tilted his neck back, letting out a long-suppressed gasp tinged with tears, and instinctively moved closer to the source of coolness that could soothe his burning sensation.

Ji Zhiqi looked at his infatuated and completely dependent appearance, and no longer hesitated, using a tight hug to eliminate the last distance between them.

He kissed him deeply, pouring all his heartache, fear and surging love into this intimate contact that was slightly punitive but extremely precious.

After an unknown amount of time, the only sounds in the room were the two people's gradually calming breathing.

Ji Zhiqi carefully held Song Shiyu in his arms, looking at his slightly furrowed brows and the faintly visible marks on his body while he was sleeping, his eyes full of pity and fear.

He picked up Song Shiyu, walked into the bathroom, and cleaned him gently. The warm water slid across his skin, taking away all traces of discomfort.

After placing Song Shiyu, who had become clean and refreshed again, on the clean bed and covering him with the quilt, the gentleness on Ji Zhiqi's face was instantly replaced by a cold and hostile look.

He walked to the window, took out his cell phone, and dialed a number. His voice was as cold as ice:

"It's me. Check all the surveillance footage from the top floor private room and this suite at Hotel ## in City B today. Don't miss a single person. I want to see all the data within half an hour."

The person on the other end of the phone was extremely efficient.

In just a few minutes, Ji Zhiqi's mobile phone received several clear surveillance videos and photos.

In the video, the scene of Song Zhi arranging bodyguards and Song Shi being half-supported and half-carried away by the bodyguards is clearly visible.

Ji Zhiqi looked at the screen of his mobile phone with a sinister and terrifying look in his eyes. The knuckles of his hands gripping the phone turned white from the force he exerted, and the force was so strong that it almost crushed the hard shell of the phone.

He slowly raised his head and looked out the window at the dazzling yet cold night scene of City B. He squeezed out a name from between his teeth, carrying with it a bone-chilling chill and undisguised murderous intent:

"Song, value."
