Chapter 1 The Seventh Daughter of a Country Noble

Not long after,

"Done!"

Hulim raised the sharpened stick above her head, a gleam in her young eyes.

"My wand!"

"Hey, ha! Magic bullet~!"

After waving the wooden stick and making a few formal gestures, Hulim threw down the knife and walked out of the house.

Ding! Ding! Ding...

Passing by the yard,

In the yard, Lezelian was practicing with Reed and Amen with a wooden sword.

"Too slow! Your sword swings are so slow, it's totally unbelievable. How do you two usually practice? It's unbearable to watch! Are you still descendants of the Hailar family?"

Seeing that Lezelian was playing the game of "beating" his brothers again, Hulim did not feel strange at all. After all, ever since she could remember, her father had often "beat" his brothers like this. In her opinion, this was a normal way of communication.

Passing by a few people.

"Father, Brother Reed, Brother Amen."

Hulim greeted politely.

"Oh, Hulim, going out? Don't go too far!"

Lezelian turned around and saw that it was his little daughter, and his expression immediately became amiable.

"Okay, Father! I'm going out!"

"Oh, be careful on the road!"

Watching his little daughter walking away with small steps, humming a little tune and waving a wooden stick, Lezelian did not look back for a long time.

"Hey, Dad! This is too much discrimination. Why are you so gentle to Hulim, but scolding us?"

"Yes, that's right!"

Reed and Yamen, panting, shouted in dissatisfaction.

"ha?!"

Lezelian's eyes narrowed and he turned his head away fiercely.

Ding! Ding!

There were two muffled thuds, and Reed and Yamen fell to the ground, covering their heads and rolling around in pain.

Lezelian pointed his wooden sword at the two brothers and shouted, "How dare you two idiots yell at me? From today on, everyone's daily practice will be doubled!"

“Oh, no!!!!”

From the yard came the long and sorrowful howls of the brothers.

... ...

... ...

"Witch~, witch~, the strongest witch~, defeat all evil~..."

Inside the mining forest south of Ment Town, sunlight shines through the sparse treetops, casting scattered light on the forest path.

Hulim hummed a tuneless little song of his own making as he headed deeper into the forest.

As the youngest daughter, although she was spoiled by her parents and older brothers and sisters and regarded as a good girl, Hulim was essentially a restless person.

For example, now, the secret paradise she was about to go to was a place that the adults in the town would not easily step into.

If her parents knew that there was such a huge difference between their little daughter's understanding of "don't go too far from home" and theirs, they might even ground her.

But whether she forgot to tell it, or instinctively felt that something bad would happen if she told it, Hulim never told anyone where she went alone.

“La~! La la~!”

Hulim came to the depths of the forest, passed through a bush, and suddenly the view in front of him opened up and a small lake appeared.

The lake water is clear and tranquil, shimmering softly in the sunlight.

"Hey!"

Hulim climbed up onto a large rock by the lake.

Pointing the stick at the lake,

"Witch, Lord Hulim has arrived!"

The forest is quiet...

After posing for about three seconds, Hulim didn't feel embarrassed at all.

Slowly putting away the stick, Hulim nodded.

"You're hiding well, monster! You're still unmoved by the name of Witch-sama Hulim! You deserve praise!"

Suddenly, Hulim swung the stick forward again with force.

“Magic Bullet—!”

The wind blew gently across the lake, causing a few ripples, but the forest was still quiet.

Magic Bullet...

It hasn’t been sent out yet.

"Oh, you're unexpectedly clever, monster! You saw through my feint. I'll grant you my approval, but—"

Hulim raised the stick high, his eyes becoming serious.

"The next step is to get serious."

“Magic Bullet——!!!”

Plop!

A large amount of waves were stirred up, and the originally calm lake surface became turbulent.

"Hmph, this is the magic bullet attack of this witch-sama. How is it? Are you scared, monster?"

Hulim raised her chin proudly, and quietly put her right hand, which was holding the stone, behind her.

The ripples on the lake surface soon subsided.

"Oh? Facing this witch-sama's magic bullet attack, you can actually hold your ground? I really underestimated you, but my attack is far more than that! Take it, monster!"

Hulim bent down, picked up a stone, and then threw the stone at the invisible "monster" while swinging the wooden stick.

Plop!

Plop!

Plop...

Ripples appeared on the surface of the lake.

After a long time, Hulim, tired from playing, lay down on the stone.

"What a thrilling battle!"

Hulim supported her upper body with her hands, sat on the rock, and looked at the lake in front of her.

"You are a powerful monster. Let's save the outcome for next time."

After saying that, she picked up a stone and threw it into the lake.

At that time, Hulim did not realize that the stone she threw next would lead her to an event that would change her life.

Plop!

As the stone stirred up waves on the lake surface just like before.

Then,

The gears of fate began to turn.
