Chapter 84 Finding the Headquarters

"By the way, how was the harvest this time? Did you make a lot~?"

"Hmph, harvest~?"

Scarface sneered and glanced at Zeff.

"Why don't you ask him?"

The one-eyed man was a little surprised. He looked at Scarface, then at Zeff, and said in surprise:

"No way?"

"You screwed up—"

Zev's face turned ugly, "This is an accident!"

"Surprise~? Hehe~!"

The one-eyed man obviously didn't believe it, and said jokingly:

"No wonder the chief sent me a message, telling you to meet him at headquarters immediately after returning to the city. I was wondering what kind of achievement you had that the chief wanted to personally reward you. And it turns out~, it's just this 'achievement'~!"

Hearing this, Zev's eyes widened, his face turned pale, and his legs began to tremble.

"No... No way, you are kidding me, right?"

“Heh~!”

The one-eyed man said disdainfully,

"Using what he just said, when have you ever seen me joke about the chief?"

Upon hearing this, Zefu collapsed to the ground.

"Chief, you're not really going to kill me, are you?!"

“Hehe~!”

Scarface smiled gleefully and said:

"Don't worry, you still owe the organization money. The leader won't be willing to kill you. At most, he'll peel off your skin~! Hahaha~!"

Hearing this, the one-eyed man also laughed.

For a moment, the room was filled with laughter, except for Zev who was sitting on the ground with a look of despair on his face.

Seeing that Zeff was still in shock, the one-eyed man said, "Alright, how long are you going to sit here? This isn't a confessional. The news of your return has probably reached the leader by now. Are you sure you want to sit here any longer?"

When Zev heard this, he jumped up from the ground in fright.

"I'm leaving right away! I'm heading to headquarters right now!"

Having said that, he rushed out of the room in a hurry.

After leaving the third floor, Zev turned a few streets and got on a freight truck.

"To the dock!"

The anxious Zev did not notice that after he got on the truck, a moving shadow also followed the surrounding shadows and entered under the truck.

“Moo!”

With a low growl from the beast pulling the cart, the cart began to move.

After driving through the streets and alleys for more than 40 minutes, the truck arrived at a wide canal. After walking along the river for a few more minutes, a dock with a lot of goods piled up and some ships docked came into view.

Upon arriving at his destination, Zev hurriedly jumped off the truck and entered the dock. After a few twists and turns inside, he arrived at the side door of a large warehouse building. He paused in front of the door for a moment, took a few deep breaths, and then, as if making up his mind, pushed the door open and walked in...

Bang--!

As the side door closed, it didn't take long for a shadow to move into a nearby dark corner.

The shadows kept moving, and Hulim's figure slowly emerged from the shadows. She looked at the warehouse in front of her, and there was still no change in her expression.

“—Found it.”

... ...

... ...

Inside the warehouse building.

Zev walked inside along the dim passage with a nervous look on his face.

Not long after, he came to an inconspicuous corner and knocked on the wall with a specific rhythm.

Boom!

A stone door slowly retreated, and a new passage appeared in front of him.

After taking a deep breath at the entrance of the passage, Zev walked into the passage.

Boom!

Not long after he walked in, the stone door behind him closed again and turned back into the original wall. There was no sign of anything wrong from the outside.

No one noticed that a shadow was seeping into the passage through the crack...

"Hey, Zev~, you're back?!"

"Haha, I heard you made a big fool of yourself this time~!"

"Tsk, damn it! I bet he would run away, but I didn't expect to lose the bet..."

The underground space appears much larger than the space on the ground, and there are quite a few people gathered there at this time.

When they saw Zev appear, they all laughed at him.

"Damn... these bastards!"

Zev cursed under his breath, his expression becoming even uglier.

Soon, he arrived at the chief's room.

When the guard at the door saw that it was him, he opened the door for him without even asking any questions.

This scene made Zev feel even worse.

Bang--!

The sound of the door slamming shut was heard behind him, cutting off Zev's last chance of escape.

He gritted his teeth, walked to the center of the room, and lowered his head.

"Chief Xila Baine, you called me?"

Wow, wow...

No one responded to him in the huge room, only the sound of Sheila Bain flipping through the documents could be heard.

“… …”

After a long time, just when Zev was sweating profusely and was about to collapse.

Sillabein finally stopped looking at the information, threw it casually on the red-lacquered, gold-edged wooden table in front of him, and looked at Zeff indifferently.

"Zev."

"yes!"

Zefu shuddered, then knelt down and kowtowed repeatedly to apologize.

"I'm sorry, Chief! I'm so sorry!"

Sheela Bain remained unmoved.

"If saying sorry worked, then our organization would become philanthropists."

"I heard you were defeated by a student of Manax? A teacher is fine, but a student? I entrusted you with an important task, and this is how you work for me?"
