Chapter 128 Submission to the school newspaper

Lu Chengcheng looked at Ruan Peiling in astonishment. She had never seen a girl speak so loudly, like a boy, but she was very happy that her decision was supported.

"Don't worry, follow Maizi and me, and you won't suffer any loss."

Cheng Maixiang couldn't help but hold her forehead with her hand. Ruan Peiling spoke like a big sister, as if Lu Chengcheng was a little brother protected by them.

"Wow, who drew this? It's so lifelike?" Ruan Peiling screamed again. The students nearby all saluted the three of them, causing Cheng Maixiang to quickly cover her mouth.

Seeing that she was positive about her painting, Lu Chengcheng asked cautiously, "Student Ruan Peiling, can I submit my painting to our school newspaper?"

"Yes, absolutely," Ruan Peiling laughed as she looked at it. "It's really interesting to draw. You really should draw more."

Lu Chengcheng's heart was finally at ease. "That's great. I'll put the painting in an envelope and drop it off in the mailbox in front of the school newspaper this afternoon."

Ruan Peiling waved her hand. "Why bother? I'll send your painting to the newspaper office this afternoon and let you know soon."

Lu Chengcheng was absent-minded the entire afternoon and didn't even pay attention in class. She was obviously worried about whether her painting would be accepted by the newspaper.

"Don't worry, since Peiling said your painting is good, there must be nothing wrong with it."

The get out of class was finally over, and Cheng Maixiang persuaded Lu Chengcheng not to worry so much.

"Maizi, I'm really useless. This morning I was thinking that if the newspaper didn't want to use it, I would revise it until they were satisfied. But now I feel so discouraged."

As they were talking, they saw Ruan Peiling waving at them at the classroom door. Cheng Maixiang saw her smiling face and immediately understood.

The two hurried out of the classroom. Before Lu Chengcheng could ask, Ruan Peiling smiled and said, "I have good news and bad news. Which one do you want to hear first?"

When Lu Chengcheng heard the word "bad news", his face immediately fell. He lowered his head and whispered, "Bad news."

"The bad news is that you're probably going to be very tired."

Not hearing that his painting had been rejected, Lu Chengcheng looked up curiously, "Why do you feel so tired?"

"Then there's good news. Senior Brother Tao just decided to open a special column in the school newspaper specifically for publishing comics. The main theme is to depict the lives of college students. They're accepting student submissions. More importantly, they've asked you to contribute long-term."
