Chapter 122 Intentional Poisoning
Fu Lian slammed on the brakes, and the whole car jolted violently.
He turned his head quickly, his eyes blazing: "What did you say?"
"Someone added laundry detergent to the porridge."
Her voice was steady, as if she had thought it through carefully before speaking.
“I saw Liu Piaopiao run out of the kitchen back door with my own eyes. She was carrying an empty bag, which was the packaging for laundry detergent.”
Fu Lian gripped the steering wheel so hard his fingers turned white, and the veins on the back of his hand bulged.
He gritted his teeth, his voice so low it seemed to be squeezed out from the depths of his throat: "Are you sure it's her?"
"I recognize her from behind."
Qiao Wanyin's gaze was firm as she stared directly into the angry eyes reflected in the rearview mirror.
“Fu Li’an, no one knows him better than me. I will never mistake that posture of his walking with his left shoulder slightly lowered and his head tilted slightly.”

The hospital ward was dimly lit.
Fu Li'an pushed open the door to the isolation room, walked to Qiao Wanyin's side, and slowly sat down.
He took off his military cap, looking tired but relieved: "It's alright, the situation has stabilized. The doctor just finished the examination and said that all the children's vital signs are stabilizing, and they can be transferred to regular wards after another 24 hours of observation."
Qiao Wanyin held a cup of freshly poured hot water in both hands, looking down at the slightly swaying surface of the water.

Fu Li'an answered softly, a rare smile appearing on his lips.

A tear slid down her cheek without warning.
She quickly raised her hand and wiped away the wet drop.
Fu Lian watched her subtle movements, then reached out and gently pulled her into his arms.

In the end, she gave up struggling and let her body lean softly against his chest, remaining motionless.

Qiao Wanyin suddenly opened her eyes and sat up straight from his arms.

Fu Li'an's lips moved, but he ultimately didn't say anything more.

A look of disbelief appeared in Fu Li'an's eyes.

The two were talking in hushed tones when they heard a series of hurried footsteps.
Factory Director Fang strode over with several soldiers, his steps heavy and hurried.

He paused, his tone softening slightly.
"Yueyue's symptoms are not severe; it is mild poisoning. She is already resting in the observation room. The doctor said she only needs to be observed for another 24 hours and there will be no major problems."
Upon hearing the words "no major problems," the ashen complexion on Commander Fang's face faded slightly.
He tried to calm himself down, then turned to look at Qiao Wanyin standing to the side.
"Director Qiao, I heard you were the first to rush in and handle the situation? You were the first to organize the evacuation, seal off the food, and contact the hospital?"
Qiao Wanyin replied calmly and confidently, "It's our duty, what we should do. The situation was urgent at the time, and there was no room for hesitation. As the person in charge of the mutual aid center, I had to react immediately."

Factory Director Fang responded, his eyes showing a newfound seriousness and curiosity.

The hospital corridor lights were too bright, the light glaring and cold.
Qiao Wanyin watched as the last stretcher was wheeled out of the emergency room, and the nurse whispered, "The condition is stable," before she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The attending physician removed his mask, leaving red marks on his cheeks from the pressure of the mask.
He nodded to Qiao Wanyin.
"They're all stable now, with their vital signs stable. They just need close monitoring going forward. We were able to complete the treatment within the golden timeframe this time."
