Staff dormitory.
It was dinner time. Dongdong was sitting on a small stool with a wooden table in front of him, eating with Liu Wan.
Seeing Chen Zhenxing coming back, Dongdong's little face immediately lit up and he timidly called out, "Dad..."
"Hey." Chen Zhenxing responded.
When he saw Dongdong, he felt complicated and didn't know how to face the son given to him by Wang Dongxiang.
He knew his son was innocent.
But when he thought of Wang Dongxiang's personality, he felt a little uncomfortable. But this had nothing to do with Dongdong, Dongdong was still his son.
"Have you eaten?" Ye Yun asked.
Chen Zhenxing shook his head.
He spent the whole day arguing with Wang Dongxiang and didn't even have lunch. The reason he was able to come back was because he sent Wang Dongxiang back to her parents' home and forcefully handed her over to her parents' parents.

Chen Zhenxing's happy expression froze.
Looking at the purple scars on Dongdong's body, his face was almost frozen, and his eyes gradually turned into disbelief.
"What's going on!"
He was furious and slammed the table, staring at the purple marks on Dongdong's body in shock and confusion.
As the sound of him slamming the table was heard, Dongdong was so scared that he trembled all over. He subconsciously threw away his chopsticks and ran to the corner to stand still. He looked up at Chen Zhenxing's frightened eyes, his motionless little body seemed to be waiting for Chen Zhenxing's slap to fall on him.
He was obviously used to it. Zhan Qing's eyes seemed to be saying: Dad, come on and beat me. You can vent your anger after that.
Chen Zhenxing was very angry.
The scars all over the child's body made him so angry that he put his hands on his hips and kept scratching his head. But when he turned around and saw the child hiding in the corner waiting to be beaten, his expression froze in an instant.
"Dongdong, what are you doing?" He sounded stunned and his voice trembled.
Dongdong pressed tightly against the wall behind him, hunched his shoulders, drooped his eyelashes, and whispered in a buzzing voice: "Dad... is angry... beat me up, then you will vent your anger, and we will have dinner together..."
Chen Zhenxing's heart trembled.

The more Chen Zhenxing listened, the more uncomfortable he felt. He turned his back and quietly wiped away the tears from his eyes.
However, he overlooked Dongdong's ability to read people's expressions. After being beaten so many times, Dongdong could keenly sense adults' emotions and immediately noticed his abnormality. "Dad, what's wrong with you?"

Dongdong said "oh".

"It's not a big deal for me," Ye Yun shrugged. "I'm not strong enough to take care of a child. Liu Wan has been taking care of Dongdong all day."
Chen Zhenxing immediately looked at Liu Wan and nodded gratefully, "Secretary Liu, thank you."
Liu Wan opened her mouth and wanted to say something to comfort him, seeing his red eyes. But when she thought of their identities, she finally suppressed her thoughts and nodded, saying, "It's okay, it's just a piece of cake."
Chen Zhenxing nodded again.
"Dad, I'm full. Where's Mom..." a small voice sounded, filled with uneasiness.
