Ye Yun supported her head with one hand against the old wooden window, and stared calmly at the scene of the father and daughter reuniting outside.
Noticing someone's gaze falling on her, she raised her eyes slightly and saw the young woman following behind Director Liu staring at her in amazement.
Who is this?
There was some change in Ye Yun's eyes. She stared at the other person intently, and a hint of doubt arose in her heart.
Why did this young woman, a stranger to me, have this expression on her face when she saw her?
Compared to Ye Yun's doubts, Liu Xiaoyun's astonished expression was obviously mixed with a hint of panic. She quickly took two steps forward, walked in front of Liu Chengzhi, and said in a slightly urging tone: "Dad, now that the person has been found, let's go back quickly?"
Liu Chengzhi was still immersed in the excitement of finding his little daughter. He wiped the tears from his eyes and turned to look at her: "Why are you in such a hurry? Our benefactors helped us find your sister. We should thank them. How can we just turn around and leave?"
A hint of impatience flashed across Liu Xiaoyun's eyes.
But the other party was her father, so she couldn't resist too much. She clenched her fists and followed Liu Chengzhi silently.
The bright sunlight shone on her body in her bright red down jacket. She squinted her eyes, not daring to look at the scorching sunlight, nor the window standing in the sunlight.
After a while, Liu Chengzhi finally got over the excitement of finding his daughter.
He shook hands tightly with Qin Zheng, thanked Qin Zheng over and over again, and pulled Gu Jin beside him to join him, patting their shoulders in gratitude.
Qin Zheng and Gu Jin looked at each other.
Gu Jin silently moved the hand that Lao Liu had patted on his shoulder to Qin Zheng's shoulder. Lao Liu didn't realize it at all. He hugged Qin Zheng and patted his back with both hands, making a loud bang.
Qin Zheng: “…”
Gu Jin: This is what you deserve.
Aunt Tian prepared the meal and Qin Xiang'e also returned home. After finding out what had happened, she warmly invited Liu Chengzhi and others to take a seat.
There weren't enough tables and chairs at home, so he asked Aunt Tian to bring all her belongings.
When it was time for dinner, Ye Yun coaxed little Chuqi to eat, then she packed her clothes and came out to eat with the guests.
When she appeared at the dining table, Liu Xiaoyun, who was sitting next to Liu Chengzhi, suddenly tensed up and stared at her motionlessly, her eyes full of vigilance.
Ye Yun was puzzled and raised her eyebrows.
Liu Xiaoyun's eyes met hers in the air for only a second before she quickly looked away. However, when she looked at the food on the table, her eyes and brows were clearly filled with frustration.
Yueyue sat beside Liu Chengzhi, ate and drank obediently, naively. She was the protagonist of this meal.
She was not very good at using chopsticks, but when she saw delicious food, she would still stumble and put it into Liu Chengzhi's bowl, sharing the food she thought was delicious with Liu Chengzhi.
The chicken pieces fell into Liu Chengzhi's bowl with a "pop". She smiled and pointed at the chicken pieces with her chopsticks and said to Liu Chengzhi: "Dad, eat it, it's delicious..."
Liu Chengzhi was so moved that tears welled up in his eyes, "Okay, okay, Yueyue is so filial..."
While eating the chicken and responding to his little daughter's words, he was overwhelmed by gratitude, and his weathered old face was filled with an excitement that could not be faded.
The deep love between father and daughter was seen clearly in the eyes of Liu Xiaoyun who was standing beside them.
Liu Xiaoyun and Yueyue were separated by Liu Chengzhi. She slightly turned her eyes and glanced at Yueyue over Liu Chengzhi. There was a hint of sinisterness in her eyes that was not easily noticed by others.
A fool who used these little tricks to confuse their father.
"Sister, sister wants to eat too..." Suddenly a piece of chicken fell from the bowl. Liu Xiaoyun looked up in surprise and bumped into a little face full of silly smile.
Through Liu Chengzhi, Yueyue was looking at her with a smile on her face, her head tilted.
The girl was three years younger than her. At the age of seventeen, she was as pretty as a flower, with a fair and tender face, a pair of big eyes that blinked at people, and her eyelashes fluttered like a butterfly with broken wings.
However, these still could not change the disgust that Liu Xiaoyun showed towards her.
She only saw a stream of drool oozing out of the corner of Yueyue's mouth, which turned into an indescribable color due to the vegetable juice. When she laughed, her mouth was wide open, as if she was afraid that others would not know that she was a fool.
Also, why was she picking up food for her sister in front of so many people?
She seems very well behaved, right?
The most hateful thing is that she pretends to be well-behaved and has to pretend to have a deep sisterly love with her in front of her father.
"Xiao Yun, your sister is picking up food for you, why do you have that expression?" Liu Chengzhi keenly noticed that Liu Xiaoyun's expression was not right and reminded her.
He knew that his eldest daughter had always been dissatisfied with his younger daughter.
The birth of the younger daughter took away the love that the older daughter should have had. Later, he and the child's mother found that the younger daughter was mentally retarded, so they subconsciously paid more attention to her, causing the older daughter to dislike the younger daughter even more.
The eldest daughter even hated her own sister who was born to the same mother.
But they are born of the same mother and are related by blood. After all, Yueyue is her biological sister who grew up with her.
Liu Chengzhi felt cold as ice.
He treated the usual fights and quarrels, and Liu Xiaoyun's disdain and contempt for Yueyue as childish thoughts.
But in the face of life and death, they almost never saw Yueyue again. Now that they finally found her, Liu Xiaoyun, as her elder sister, had such a cold attitude, which was too cold-blooded!
She looked as if she wished she could never find Yueyue.
"Dad, I remember you have an important meeting to attend this afternoon. I'm done eating and will wait for you in the car." Liu Xiaoyun ignored the admonition and helplessness in Liu Chengzhi's eyes, put down his chopsticks, stood up and left.
Her high heels made a crisp sound as she stepped on the stone floor, and she walked to the door in three or two steps.
