She kicked open the office door, startling Gu Yanbai so much that the things he was holding fell onto the table with a thud.
"You little rascal, are you itching for a beating again?"
"Can't you be a little gentler? You're such a grown woman, you don't act like one at all."
"So you look like a father?" Xia Xia raised her chin, meeting his gaze without fear.
"What's wrong with me? Gu Yusu, come and tell me, why don't I act like a father?" Gu Yanbai was completely baffled.
Isn't he always like this? Why doesn't he act like a father anymore?
"Tell me, what did you just do?" Xiaxia couldn't help but remind him when she saw his innocent look.

"Where are you going? I'm telling you, you're not going anywhere until you tell me clearly!" She reacted quickly and grabbed his wrist.

Seeing that Xia Xia showed no intention of letting go, Gu Yanbai said helplessly, "You won't let go, huh?"
"Let me tell you, if we don't go back soon, your mother might really run away. Then the three of us will search the whole world for her."
"Are you going home?" Xiaxia chuckled foolishly.
"Nonsense! If I don't go home, where else can I go?" Gu Yanbai was both annoyed and amused.
He ignored her and, taking advantage of his height and long legs, darted out of the room in a few steps.
Soon, a black Toyota appeared in front of her.
Xiaxia hurried over to him, "Dad, can you give me a ride?"
Gu Yanbai glanced at her and said, "You were so capable just now, daring to bare your teeth at your father!"
Since you have so much energy, why not walk back?
I think you've been eating too much these past few years and have forgotten who's been feeding you!
In that case, let's skip dinner tonight, no, let's skip dinner tomorrow too.

"You guys talk, I'm not going to eavesdrop!" Gu Yuchu said, somewhat puzzled.
"Why are you so stubborn, kid?"
"Just go when I tell you to. Why all the fuss? You're just like your sister now, you don't know how to listen to adults at all."
Gu Yuchu opened her mouth, "Dad, I..."
Before he could finish speaking, he was lifted off the chair and then forcefully pushed out the door.
"Oh, by the way, your sister is coming back later, take her with you to your aunt's house."
"Why didn't you bring my sister..."
The door slammed shut with a bang, and he even heard it being locked.

Inside the room, Gu Yanbai gently opened the bedroom door, and his eyes met Su Nianxue's.
"So you finally decided to come back? I thought someone had gotten too caught up in the fun and forgotten about home."
"Hehe, honey, what are you saying? This is my home, where else can I go if I don't come back?"
"Your home? Okay, I'll leave and make room for you."
"Your home! This is your home!" He grabbed her shoulders and pressed them down.
