Extra (2)

Night falls in the west, and the city lights begin to come on.

Royal Dynasty Bar, located in the heart of Jiangcheng, is a sprawling and luxurious bar that is arguably the most luxurious in the entire city. At this moment, it is showcasing its charm to the fullest.

Inside, neon lights shone brightly, music blared, and young men and women danced to the rhythm of the music.

"Yu Chu, I didn't expect Jiangcheng to have such fun places. It's just as good as places abroad." The girl looked around with great interest, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Of course! There are many fun places in Jiangcheng. When we have time, I'll take you to see them one by one!" Gu Yuchu took a sip of her drink, her smile gentle.

"Great! By the way, Yu Chu, how's your onboarding process going?"

"Everything went smoothly! I can go to the hospital to report for duty tomorrow." Gu Yuchu gently swirled her wine glass, a smile playing on her lips.

"Okay, then consider tonight a celebration for your new job!" The girl raised her glass and clinked it against his.

How's the preparation for your art exhibition going?

"Everything is going according to plan!" The girl winked at him playfully.

"That's great! I wish you great success with your art exhibition!"

The girl's name is Yang Caiwei, and she is a locally well-known painter.

Gu Yuchu's father was her mentor, and the two met on campus.

I came back with him this time for two reasons: first, to hold an art exhibition, and second, to meet... his parents.

"Hey, beautiful, you look unfamiliar. Is this your first time here?" A burly man in a black leather jacket, carrying a glass of wine, walked unsteadily toward them.

The girl only glanced at him briefly before looking away.

"How about I treat you to a drink?" the man said casually, talking to himself.

"Get out of my way!" Gu Yuchu reached out and shielded the girl behind her, looking at him coldly.

"Did I talk to you? You pretty boy, what are you doing interrupting?" The man was annoyed when he saw him blocking the girl behind him.

He had been observing the man for a while now. He thought the man looked alright, but his clothes were ordinary, and he didn't seem to have any powerful connections.

Those who frequent entertainment venues need to be discerning.

If you mess with the wrong person, the consequences can be severe.

He trusted his own judgment and therefore didn't take Gu Yuchu seriously at all.

"Get out of here, stay away from us!" Gu Yuchu's eyes were filled with deep disgust.

I came out to relax, but this happened instead.

That's such a killjoy!

"Who do you think you are, daring to order me around? You should go out and ask around before you dare to disrespect Brother Leopard. You probably don't even know why the flowers are so red?"

The man's eyes widened, causing the fat on his face to twitch a few times.

"Oh, so what if I offended you?" Gu Yuchu casually swirled the cup in her hand, a cold glint in her eyes.

"Hahaha! You really are a newborn calf that doesn't fear tigers. I admire your ignorance!" The man laughed loudly, glanced at him contemptuously, and then clapped his hands behind him.

Suddenly, several people dressed like him stood out from the corner.

"Ha! So they have accomplices!" Gu Yuchu tapped her fingers lightly on the table, her eyes unfathomable.

"How about that? Scared now? If you're scared, then get out of my way!" In his excitement, the man's eyes almost turned green.

"I won't make things difficult for you, all we need is for that pretty girl to have a couple of drinks with us, how about that?"

The man grinned broadly, extremely pleased with himself. With each opening and closing of his mouth, a strong smell of alcohol and food residue wafted from his nostrils.

"Pah! You look like a toad, do you think you're worthy of being accompanied by this grandma?" The girl peeked out from behind Gu Yuchu and shouted at him with disgust.

"Hey, beautiful, you're pretty stubborn! But it's okay, I like spicy food!"

Upon seeing her, the man's eyes shone even brighter.

The light was like a venomous snake, cold and chilling, making one's skin crawl.

The girl got goosebumps all over her body, and forgot about being stubborn. She quickly hid herself firmly behind Gu Yuchu.

"Stop hiding, come out! This pretty boy can't protect you!"

"I'll say it again, get out!" Gu Yuchu's expression grew even colder.

"You shameless pretty boy! I'm going to ruin your face today!" Enraged, the man slammed the cup in his hand onto the ground.

With a snap, the cup shattered completely.

As if on cue, four men stood up from the corner, grinning maliciously as they surrounded them.

In the private room upstairs.

Xiaxia, dressed in a white formal suit, had a warm smile on her face as she chatted with the man beside her.

The man, however, remained indifferent, not at all appearing moved by her.

Xia Xia looked somewhat anxious; the man beside her was the heir of the Fu family.

The Fu family is a true century-old family that has stood the test of time despite numerous hardships, and its businesses span the entire country.

He came to Jiangcheng this time seeking cooperation, and all the businesses in Jiangcheng, big and small, regarded him as a big piece of meat.

Xia Xia was no exception. If she could reach a cooperation agreement with the Fu family, the Gu family's reputation would be further enhanced.

But these days, no matter what she tried, the heir remained indifferent and showed no intention of cooperating with the Gu family.

Suddenly, her gaze fell on a certain spot below...

Then, the smile on her face gradually disappeared.

"Excuse me, I have some personal matters to attend to. Please excuse me for a moment!" She smiled apologetically at the man beside her.

"Go ahead!"

Xiaxia nodded to him, put down her wine glass, and hurriedly left.
