This is the first time I’ve done this since writing a book.

I'm sure you can see that the data is very bad, the results are very poor, and there is no hope.
But there are also some people reading it, many of whom are readers from "The Prodigal Son of the Empire" and "The King of Zhenbei".
I mainly want to say sorry to you.
But I really can’t write anymore.
I have no motivation or drive, and writing every day is extremely painful.
The main reason for poor grades is... bad writing.
There are major problems in the setting, structure, and plot.
There were problems from the beginning.
I originally set Song Chi as an "ordinary" person. His father was not the Prime Minister, but the character Liu Bao in the book, a eunuch.
But Song Chi didn't know, and neither did his uncle and aunt. This gave him a sense of struggle as a small person on the road to success, which was satisfying and rewarding.
Then came the orthodox imperial examination, with his father silently helping him behind the scenes.
Originally, the first chapter was directly about the relationship with Liang Qingwu, without Song Shiwen or Song Ming.
As a result, when I started writing the book, I kept revising the beginning. I got stuck in this circle and couldn't get out. Then I couldn't judge whether it was good or bad, which caused it to collapse!
Poor data affects the mentality, and updates cannot be written, which becomes a vicious cycle.

When I first wrote The Prodigal Son of Empire, I felt so excited that I wanted to write every day and couldn't stop.
Writing this was extremely painful.
There is something wrong with the settings and I want to fix it, but I can't find it.
As a result, deviations occurred in the structure, exciting point design, etc., resulting in a slow pace.
There are also many problems with my writing style. What I wrote was too "formal" and too traditional.
Times are changing, and so are the things we want to watch.
But the more I wrote, the more I went back.
A fast pace and dense excitement are what readers want to read.
This is the third alternate history and the final part of the Empire trilogy, but I haven't written a good ending.
Practice more if you are good at cooking.
A bad book is just poorly written.
It was indeed a blow to me at the beginning. I had never failed before, and I thought that as long as I wrote, I would be fine. But the result was a heavy blow.
I feel very calm now.
I spent time reviewing the situation and now I know why I failed.
This book is terrible.

I was a little too hasty when I started writing the book, and I didn’t think through many things.
The main reason is lack of innovation.
I have written two books of fictional history, both of which are close to nine million words long.
I have almost used up all the exciting tricks I can write.
But I am still stuck in the past.
No matter how well I write, it will never surpass The Prodigal Son of the Empire and The Prince of the North.
And as you write more books, your own style will become very strong.
It will look familiar to familiar readers casually.
That's also the problem.
This is doomed to fail and will not work.
I think it’s a good thing. It helps me recognize the reality, identify problems, learn lessons, and do better in the future.
