Chapter 23 Reverse Questioning
Due to a minor issue with the director, the guests were unable to proceed as usual even though they arrived at the mission point on time.
In order not to delay the progress of the program, the assistant director finally stepped forward to assign tasks to everyone.
Today's work projects include: cleaning the chicken farm, picking mushrooms in the mountains and breaking corn.
Each group can choose one, but if two groups choose the same one, a hidden task created by the program team will be unlocked. The two groups need to complete it in order, and the winner will get the task directly.
The assistant director distributed a small whiteboard and pen to each group and gave them three minutes to think and write the results of the discussion on the whiteboard.
[It’s quite interesting, the program crew is getting more and more interesting]
[These three tasks don't look easy, and it's hard to choose. The key is to consider whether they will overlap after you choose. If they do overlap, you will have to complete another hidden task to unlock it.]
[Personally, I think breaking corn would be better? ]
"Yanyan, which one do you want to choose?" Liao Jiake was relatively indifferent to making choices. She mainly wanted to hear her sister's opinion.
Liao Jiayan was suddenly asked this question, so she thought about it seriously and said, "Why don't we just break the corn?"
Cleaning the chicken farm sounded like a heavy job, and it was hard to imagine how big the chicken farm was. As for going up the mountain to pick mushrooms, Liao Jiayan hadn't considered it. She was afraid that she would have to walk a long way up the mountain, and whether she could find mushrooms at that time was another matter.
Liao Jiake didn't write on the board immediately. She pursed her lips and said thoughtfully, "I feel like this will hit..."
Seeing her hesitation, Liao Jiayan became unhappy. She said capriciously, "Just collide. At worst, we can just give it a try during the hidden mission."
On the other side, the twin brothers were also discussing...
Qi Yan was afraid of chickens, so their group skipped cleaning the chicken farm and focused on picking mushrooms and breaking corn.
After careful consideration, Qi Zhen gave Qi Yan an answer: "Sister, let's go pick mushrooms."
"Why pick mushrooms? Isn't it better to pick corn?"
Qi Yan didn't want to go up the mountain. She thought it was fine to pick corn in the field. Although it might be a little exposed to the sun, it was better than going through the trouble in the mountains.
Qi Zhen frowned, but said calmly, "This one will hit you."
He thought that breaking corn would be easier. Even if Meng Chuyuan's group didn't choose this, Liao Jiake's group might not not participate.
Instead of colliding with them, it is better to just choose a safe one, which will save a lot of trouble.
"What if? Let's take a gamble." Qi Yan didn't discuss it with him anymore and directly wrote "breaking corn" on the whiteboard.
[These two groups collided again! ]
[Yesterday it was fishing, today it's breaking corn. These two groups have a pretty good chemistry. Why not consider teaming up?]
[I'm suddenly looking forward to the hidden mission, but I don't know who will be the final winner.]
[Hahaha, these two groups have already discussed it, but Sister Meng and the others haven't made any moves yet]
The whiteboard was in Lu Jinsen's hand. Seeing that Meng Chuyuan didn't say anything, he couldn't make up his mind.
After a long while, Lu Jinsen took the initiative to speak: "Which one do you choose?"
"Which one do you want to choose?"
"Cracking corn?" He asked with a hint of doubt in his tone.
"Then..."
Lu Jinsen thought there was hope, his eyes flashed, and when he was about to pick up a pen to write it down, he suddenly heard -
"Let's pick mushrooms."
Lu Jinsen: “…”
[I'm dying of laughter. Sister Meng's twist is quite extreme. Even Lu Jinsen is shocked.]
[This is probably unconventional, but I think picking mushrooms is pretty good. My neighbor has already picked corn anyway, so there’s no need.]
[Sister Meng: I don’t care what you think]
Lu Jinsen said: The last time I was so speechless was last time.
"Write, pick mushrooms." Meng Chuyuan raised his eyes and looked at the dumbfounded Lu Jinsen: "Don't you know how to read?"
Lu Jinsen glanced at her and said helplessly, "Didn't you just ask me which one I want to choose?"
"Yeah, didn't you ask me that just now? You wanted to pick corn, and now I want to pick mushrooms."
[Sister Meng asked politely, but she didn't intend to listen to the young master]
[Sister Meng: You want to break corn, but I won’t let you do that!!!]
"Young Master, haven't you figured out your own position yet? Of course, you listen to Sister Meng. Your decision won't make any difference."
[Sister Meng has a rebellious streak, hahaha]
[I think Sister Meng knew they were going to pick corn, so she deliberately chose to pick mushrooms. But this is also good, I don’t have to compete with them.]
After the discussion time was up, the three groups showed their question boards at the same time.
Except for Meng Chuyuan's group who chose to pick mushrooms, the other two groups chose to break corn.
After reviewing the selection results, the assistant director announced, "Alright, the mushroom pickers can go up the mountain now. The remaining two groups will have to complete the hidden mission our production team has laid out..."
Seeing that there was nothing for them to do here, Meng Chuyuan and Lu Jinsen followed the experienced local villagers up the mountain.
Lu Jinsen seemed to be still in a state of confusion. On the way to pick mushrooms, he couldn't help but ask, "You chose to go up the mountain to pick mushrooms. Did you know that they would choose to pick corn?"
Meng Chuyuan glanced at him and said calmly, "You're overthinking it. I just don't want to see you taking it too easy."
[The eldest young master must be thinking that he had made a wrong decision after all.]
[I knew Sister Meng was planning something bad as soon as her eyes turned]
[Sister Meng is incredibly insightful, she definitely knows. I think she just doesn't want to communicate with Lu Jinsen right now, hahahaha]
It took them about ten minutes to walk into the mountains, but they didn't find anything along the way.
The villager who led them into the mountains was worried that the two would be disappointed if they didn't pick any mushrooms, so he consoled them by saying, "We often walk this road. The mushrooms nearby should have been picked. You should be able to see some if you go a little further in."
So they continued to move forward.
When they reached a deeper forest, Meng Chuyuan and Lu Jinsen began a carpet search, not leaving any inch of land untouched.
Meng Chuyuan searched for a while and finally found mushrooms popping up under the jungle.
"I saw it," she said.
Others rushed over after hearing her voice, and even the photographer hurried over to take pictures.
Lu Jinsen asked: "Where?"
Because there were too many fallen leaves on the ground, it looked dazzling and it was impossible to determine the location of the mushrooms.
Meng Chuyuan took the branch in his hand and pushed away the fallen leaves nearby, and soon everyone saw it.
The villagers came over to take a look and said with a smile, "Kid, you're so lucky! This is a matsutake mushroom. There are very few of them here."
Meng Chuyuan raised his eyebrows and said with a hint of amusement: "Then I really am lucky."
[I didn’t expect Sister Meng to be so lucky. She picked some matsutake mushrooms on her first trip up the mountain. I envy her so much.]
[Ms. Meng, nah! I just checked on Baidu, and matsutake mushrooms are indeed rare in their area! !]
[You know what, this matsutake mushroom is growing quite well. Look at the local villagers, they are all envious, not to mention me. Wow.]
