Chapter 109 Yan Tingnan instructs his son

Chapter 109 Yan Tingnan instructs his son

Yan Yunye suddenly looked up.

"Dad, I'm not..."

"I know very well what you are."

Yan Tingnan's gaze calmly fell on Yan Yunye's face.

"Are you very free?"

Yan Yunye's words were stuck in his throat, and his cheek muscles tensed up.

He tilted his head slightly, his gaze sweeping over the unsightly paper bag in Yan Yunye's hand.

When I looked back at his face, there was no emotion in my eyes, only scrutiny.

"The time and freedom given to you during your suspension is for you to reflect on your mistakes, sort out the right and wrong of the past, and reshape your value judgments."

"I'm not suggesting you waste your time thinking about these meaningless things."

"Being able to take things on and let them go is a basic quality of an adult."

"The other party's attitude is clear, and your behavior has crossed the line and constitutes harassment."

"Over the past four years, you have made numerous foolish moves for Wen Wanwan, blurring the lines between public and private matters, and even at the expense of Qingyan's interests."

"Now that I've glimpsed a sliver of the truth and suddenly realized my mistake, I'm not thinking about how to correct my errors or increase my value."

Instead, use the least efficient and contemptible method to pester someone who has clearly rejected you.

His tone was calm, yet every word he spoke was piercing.

"This vision and behavior are unlike those of someone I, Yan Tingnan, have taught."

The color drained from Yan Yunye's face instantly.

Yan Tingnan leaned forward slightly, his gaze as sharp as an ice pick.

"Not all deviations from the right path qualify for a chance to be corrected."

"And not everyone will stay put and wait for you to realize your mistake."

"Her choice is already very clear."

"Cutting losses in time is the most basic decency for an adult."

"Don't let me see you appear in front of her again in such an unbecoming manner."

Yan Yunye's fingers twitched suddenly, and the paper bag's drawstring dug into his palm.

"Dad is right."

His voice, which he managed to squeeze out, was so hoarse it didn't sound like his own.

"It's because I didn't see my own position clearly."

"Is there anything else?"

Yan Tingnan asked him again.

Yan Yunye took a deep breath, trying his best to remain calm.

"there is none left."

"Dad, you guys are busy."

He stepped aside to make way, but his gaze remained fixed on Su Ruan, with a final struggle.

Yan Tingnan stopped looking at Yan Yunye's pale face.

He turned to the side, gave Su Ruan a slight nod, and his tone returned to its calm and composed state.

"Miss Su, it's getting late."

Su Ruan lowered her brows and agreed.

"Yes, Mr. Yan."

Su Ruan suppressed the barely suppressed smile on her lips and quickly followed.

As he passed by Yan Yunye, he didn't look at him again.

Yan Yunye stood there, his face drained of all color.

His father's words were like silent slaps, shattering his last shred of stubbornness and confidence.

It wasn't an insult, but it made him feel more ashamed than any angry rebuke.

He was like a clown who had been completely seen through.

That bit of resentment seemed particularly sordid and unacceptable under his father's calm and unwavering gaze.

He loosened his fingers one by one, and the paper bag in his hand silently slipped out and fell to the ground with a thud.

The cream has probably collapsed, just like the mess he's left in now.

...

The elevator ascends, and the numbers change.

In the enclosed space, only the two of them could be heard breathing softly.

Yan Tingnan lowered his eyes, his gaze falling on the top of Su Ruan's head, all traces of the calm he had shown when he was scolding Yan Yunye were gone.

"Boyfriend? Jealous? Bad temper? Hmm?"

His voice was low, and when it struck my eardrums, it sent a tingling sensation through me.

Su Ruan looked up and met his deep gaze, showing no sign of weakness.

"Isn't that right?"

"Teacher Yan's words to his son just now were like knives that cut to the bone, killing him and breaking his spirit."

"I'm really scared."

She said she was afraid, but a sly glint shone in her eyes.

Yan Tingnan's Adam's apple bobbed slightly, his fingers curled up, and he finally couldn't hold back.

He raised his hand, his fingertips brushing against the corner of her lips.

"Afraid?"

"You seem to be enjoying yourself."

bite.

The elevator doors opened.

The SoftVoice studio comes into view, a stark contrast to its initial startup state before the Cocoon exhibition.

At a dozen or so workstations, newly recruited employees are focused and busy, making phone calls and typing on keyboards, exuding a vibrant energy.

At the end are two newly partitioned, separate offices.

Glass curtain wall, with louvers half-closed.

One doorplate reads "Song Shengsheng," while the other reads "Su Ruan."

It has taken initial shape and has a new look.

Su Ruan pushed open the door to her office.

The space isn't large, but it's neatly and warmly decorated.

The desk was piled with fabric brochures and blueprints, and the green plants by the window were thriving.

She had just put down her bag when she heard a soft click behind her.

Turning around, Yan Tingnan had already locked the door behind her.

He turned around, leaning against the door, his heavy gaze pressing down on us, silently sweeping across every inch of space.

Why lock the door?

Yan Tingnan loosened his tie and walked towards her.

"We're discussing business, and I don't want to disturb you."

"What business requires locking the door to discuss?"

How's the soundproofing?

He suddenly asked, his voice not loud.

Su Ruan's heart skipped a beat, and her fingertips traced the front of his suit jacket.

"What? Mr. Yan wants to experience life here?"

She tiptoed and breathed into his ear.

"If you want to play office games, you should go to the CEO's office on the 30th floor of Qingyan."

"The soundproofing is much better there, and the carpet is thick, so it doesn't hurt to kneel there."

She lowered her voice even further, her tone seductive.

Yan Tingnan's eyes suddenly darkened, like an ink pool suddenly stirred.

He raised his hand, took off his gold-rimmed glasses, and casually tossed them onto the table.

"Instigating me?"

His voice was a little hoarse.

"I wouldn't dare."

Su Ruan smiled, but there was no fear in her eyes.

"Just an objective comparison, your territory is naturally more exciting."

Where did he touch you downstairs just now?

Yan Tingnan changed the subject, her gaze calm.

Su Ruan was slightly taken aback, then realized that she was referring to Yan Yunye.

"I didn't touch it."

She answered decisively.

"They just handed me a paper bag, but I didn't take it."

Yan Tingnan kissed her earlobe, his voice becoming hoarse.

"He should be glad that he only blocked you, he didn't touch you."

The voice was low and soft, yet it carried a chill.

“Otherwise, he should be lying in the ICU now, instead of standing and listening to a lecture.”

Su Ruan's heart skipped a beat, but she raised an eyebrow.

"That's ruthless?"

"otherwise?"

He lowered his head, his nose brushing against her forehead, his breath hot.

"I don't even allow anyone to glance at my things."

"Let alone extending a claw."

Su Ruan chuckled.

"Am I a thing?"

"You're not, you're Ruan Ruan."

"It's my nemesis."

"Yan Tingnan".

"Um?"

Su Ruan chuckled softly.

"Your public image has almost completely collapsed in my eyes."

He muttered, "Thanks to you."

Yan Tingnan bit her earlobe, with a hint of punishment in his words.

I don't like the way he looks at you.

"Yan Yunye, he..."

"Don't mention him."

Yan Tingnan interrupted her, lowered his head and kissed her, swallowing all her sounds.

He sucked on her lips, his tongue prying open her teeth and lingering on hers.

He only eased his grip when Su softly collapsed into his arms.

It turns into a series of delicate pecks, lingering on the corners of the lips, chin, and sides of the neck.

"Ruan Ruan, don't look at him."

He buried his face in the crook of her neck, his voice muffled and hoarse.

Don't even glance at it.

Su Ruan chuckled, looked up and kissed his chin.

"Teacher Yan, you should have more confidence in yourself."

He tightened his arms.

"I really want to hide you away and stamp you with my seals wherever I can see you."

It's not that he lacks confidence.

It's fear.

I fear that this loss and subsequent recovery is nothing but a mirage.

He feared that his inherent stubbornness and darkness would eventually scare her away.

Yan Tingnan lifted the person onto the edge of the table, and some of the blueprints and samples were swept aside.

The height was just right; he could completely envelop her by bending down slightly.

Sunlight streamed in through the window, outlining his tense profile and bobbing Adam's apple.

He kissed her lips again.

The kiss was filled with suppressed passion, a mixture of biting and sucking.

Only when their breathing became erratic did he press his forehead against hers and speak in a hoarse voice.

"Soft."

“I’m much better than him.”

Su Ruan, panting, smiled.

"I know, otherwise why would I sleep with you?"
