Chapter 39.

Chapter 39.

The burning sensation between their lips and teeth hadn't dissipated when Yan Tingnan tightened his grip on the back of her neck.

Just then, Su Ruan's cell phone suddenly vibrated in her pocket.

Buzz—Buzz—

One buzz after another, stubbornly humming between the two people pressed together, like an obstinate fly.

Su Ruan freed one hand and groped her way into her pocket.

I swiped my finger across the screen and pressed the mute button, turning off even the vibration.

The world fell silent instantly, leaving only the disordered breathing of each other and the faint sound of distant waves.

A few seconds later, a tentative male voice rang out from not far away, piercing through the sparse palm grove.

"Su Ruan?"

Is that you over there?

It's Yan Yunye.

His voice grew closer, and his footsteps rustled on the fallen leaves.

Su Ruan's body tensed instantly, and she instinctively wanted to push the person in front of her away.

Yan Tingnan remained motionless, instead bowing even lower.

His burning lips and tongue enveloped her small earlobe, his teeth grinding against it gently.

This startled Su Ruan so much that she almost let out a groan.

Yan Tingnan's thin lips pressed against her burning earlobe, his breath hot into her ear canal.

"Do."

A single word, heavy and hoarse, like dynamite igniting a fuse.

Su Ruan's scalp tingled, and her almond-shaped eyes widened.

Um? ?

Here?

Lin Xuqiu is right, he is indeed a bit crazy.

Su Ruan turned her head away to avoid the agonizing caresses.

"Do it in front of your son?"

"That's so exciting?"

She responded in a breathy, urgent voice, a defiant spark flickering in her almond-shaped eyes.

Su Ruan looked up and met Yan Tingnan's unfathomable gaze through the dappled shadows of the trees.

His eyes gleamed with desire and a possessive intent.

Immediately afterwards, Yan Tingnan released his grip.

He slowly and deliberately adjusted the slipped shoulder strap of her cardigan, his fingertips lightly brushing against the throbbing pulse on the side of her neck.

"Go back to the suite."

"I'll handle it."

Su Ruan took a deep breath of the night breeze carrying the scent of grass and trees, and raised her hand to touch her earlobe, which had gone numb from his biting.

She didn't linger, and silently retreated along the tree trunk into the darker depths, her figure quickly merging into the dappled moonlight.

Her steps were a little unsteady, but her heart felt like it was on fire, burning so intensely that her mouth was dry.

Yan Tingnan watched the smoky green figure disappear into the darkness before calmly turning around.

Just as he stepped out of the shade of the trees, Yan Yunye parted the last clump of low coconut palms.

Yan Yunye suddenly bumped into the person in front of him and stopped in his tracks in astonishment.

"dad?"

He subconsciously looked around, and besides his father, there were only swaying tree shadows.

What about Su Ruan?

What are you doing here?

Have you seen Su Ruan?

Yan Tingnan had one hand in his trouser pocket, his gaze sweeping indifferently over Yan Yunye.

"What's up?"

Yan Tingnan's voice was distant, revealing no emotion whatsoever.

Yan Yunye was momentarily stunned by his gaze, and his alcohol-fueled mind cleared up somewhat.

The urge to question was abruptly stuck in my throat.

"Nothing urgent."

Yan Yunye avoided that piercing gaze and explained in a stiff tone.

“I was over there just now, and I saw that she seemed to be coming this way. I was worried that it wasn’t safe for her to be alone.”

Yan Yunye's throat tightened, and his gaze, unwilling to give up, swept over the darkness behind Yan Tingnan once more.

Yan Tingnan's lips curled into a smile, a smile that was neither mocking nor not mocking.

"Security at Qiandao Bay is comprehensive."

"Assistant Su is an adult, more clear-headed than you think."

He paused, and his voice suddenly turned low.

"But you seem to be quite distracted tonight."

"After kissing that one, you're already in a hurry to find this one."

Yan Yunye's back stiffened, and he subconsciously wanted to refute.

"Dad, I..."

Yan Tingnan's gaze swept over Yan Yunye's slightly disheveled face, her expression suggestive.

"With the merger and acquisition deal nearing completion, focus your attention on the right things and don't waste your energy on useless back-and-forth maneuvering."

"If you stumble and fall, no one will clean up the mess for you."

Yan Yunye fell silent under Yan Tingnan's gaze.

The embarrassment of being publicly exposed by his father, combined with the effects of alcohol, made his cheeks burn.

His probing and provocations, fueled by alcohol, suddenly seemed childish and ridiculous.

"Dad is right."

He forced a smile, his knuckles clenched so tightly they turned white.

"I will keep a close eye on the merger and acquisition deal."

Yan Tingnan looked away.

"Go back now, come see me when you're sober."

He said that, then turned and left.

Yan Yunye seemed to have all his strength drained away, standing there dejectedly and in a sorry state.

...

After Su Ruan returned to her suite, her stomach began to ache slightly.

The seafood barbecue mixed with iced wine that night was churning in her stomach, making her break out in a cold sweat.

She forced herself to go to the bathroom and take a hot shower; the warm water briefly numbed her discomfort.

When she turned off the hot water, her vision was already fogged up.

As I fumbled to put on my bathrobe, my knees buckled and I almost fell over.

After showering, instead of feeling refreshed, I felt dizzy, lightheaded, and weak in my limbs.

Yan Tingnan hasn't returned yet.

She staggered and fell onto the sofa, her consciousness crumbling like a sandcastle being washed away by the tide.

After some time, the sound of a card being swiped came from the entrance hall.

Yan Tingnan walked in. The living room was dimly lit, and he immediately saw the figure curled up on the sofa.

Hearing the noise, Su Ruan groggily tried to sit up to prove that she was in good condition.

His body felt like it was filled with lead; as soon as he moved, he lost his balance and fell headfirst onto the carpet.

Yan Tingnan quickly stepped forward and stretched out his long arm to grab her waist.

The immense inertia carried the two of them down into the thick, soft carpet.

"Hmm..."

Su Ruan let out a muffled groan and crashed into a firm, warm embrace.

In the chaos, her elbow hit the smart panel.

The entire suite was plunged into darkness in an instant!

Only the cool moonlight from the floor-to-ceiling windows and the faint lights of the distant beach shone through, outlining a blurry silhouette.

Su Ruan's mind went blank.

This is a rare opportunity, and we must get this done tonight!

Never mind, let's strike first.

She instinctively tilted her head back, found his lips in the thick darkness, and kissed him without hesitation!

She ground and sucked haphazardly, like a thirsty little animal.

Her slender arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him even closer to her.

Yan Tingnan's breath hitched.

In the darkness, her lips, hot and clumsy yet eager, ignited the fire he had suppressed all the way.

His Adam's apple bobbed, and his arms tightened.

Almost drowning in this gift offered in the darkness, I took the initiative and deepened the kiss.

Their lips intertwined, their breaths mingling.

However, the skin on her waist was burning hot beneath my palm.

The temperature far exceeded that of passion, exuding an abnormal heat.

Yan Tingnan's eyes darkened, and the simmering anger that had been stirred up was instantly replaced by vigilance.

He turned his head away, ending the chaotic kiss, and distanced himself from her.

"Su Ruan?"

"Um……"

She grumbled in dissatisfaction, her lips chasing his breath, wanting to lean closer.

Yan Tingnan grabbed her wrist and pressed it against the carpet, his voice tense.

Are you on fire?

"yes……"

She chuckled, panting, and used her knee to push open the creases of his trousers.

"I'll burn your statue, you're the only one I'll burn."

"Don't stop, let's get down to business..."

Do you think the duck that's already in your mouth can fly away?
