Chapter 59 With you, where is my bottom line?

Chapter 59 With you, where is my bottom line?

Su Ruan held her breath and walked into the bathroom.

Next to a set of unopened high-end skincare products on the marble countertop, several boxes of sanitary napkins of different sizes are neatly stacked.

She walked out of the bathroom clutching a pack of sanitary napkins, leaned against the door frame, waved the pack in her hand, and raised an eyebrow at him.

"Mr. Yan, do you keep this at home?"

“After you stayed overnight last time, the housekeeper bought a full set of women’s products.”

Yan Tingnan tied the belt of his bathrobe, looked up, his gaze sweeping over her surprised face, and added a sentence.

"Being prepared is always better than being caught off guard."

Su Ruan felt as if she had been lightly bumped in the heart.

Was it prepared by the housekeeper?

Did he tacitly approve it?

Or was it he who gave the order?

"Butler Yan, you are so thoughtful."

She turned around, threw the sanitary napkin back onto the counter, and the sound of running water quickly followed.

Su Ruan came out after getting ready, still wearing her own pajamas.

Her cheeks were slightly flushed from the steam, and her hair was damp and clung to the sides of her neck.

Only one wall lamp was left on in the master bedroom. Yan Tingnan leaned against the headboard watching a tablet, his bathrobe belt loosely tied.

Su Ruan walked straight to the door.

Where to?

Yan Tingnan's voice came from behind.

Su Ruan stopped in her tracks, turned around, and spoke as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"A guest room."

Yan Tingnan took off her glasses and placed them on the bedside table with a soft click.

"come over."

"The bed is big enough."

"I'll go to the guest room so as not to disturb Mr. Yan's rest."

After saying that, she stepped forward and grasped the doorknob.

I heard a soft thud as a tablet was gently placed on the bedside table behind me.

Then came the sound of footsteps, steadily approaching.

Just as Su Ruan touched the doorknob, a shadow suddenly loomed over her from behind.

Yan Tingnan suddenly grabbed her by the knees and lifted her into the air.

He threw Su Ruan into the middle of the bed.

The mattress sank deep, and Su Ruan struggled to get up, but he pressed her down with one knee.

"Yan Tingnan, you..."

"This is where we'll get serious next time."

He leaned down and braced himself beside her ear, the collar of his bathrobe casting a shadow.

"I need to get used to my territory first."

Su Ruan raised her foot and kicked.

"Did President Yan learn his hospitality from bandits?"

Yan Tingnan easily intercepted her ankle.

"Once they enter my territory, I'm always the one who calls for them to stop."

Su Ruan bent her knees and pushed against his waist and abdomen, but he grabbed her ankles and pressed her back onto the sheets.

"Yan Tingnan, do you have no bottom line?"

Where do I draw the line when it comes to you?

Ever since Nebula barged into his world that night, she has never left his mind.

She occupied all his thoughts, monopolizing every conscious idea in his mind.

This feeling is both strange and addictive.

This caused him to lose his moral compass time and time again.

Su Ruan's wet hair wrapped around his wrist bone, and he frowned as he picked up a strand.

"No wonder she's writhing in pain from menstrual cramps if she doesn't dry her hair."

His voice was calm, but his movements were forceful.

"When cold and dampness enter the body, you're just asking for trouble."

Yan Tingnan released the grip and got out of bed.

A moment later, he returned with a hairdryer and a thick, dry towel.

"Sit still."

He pulled a towel over her and wrapped it around her head, pressing his palm against her hair roots and rubbing it.

After drying her hair, Yan Tingnan put away the hairdryer.

"If you're lazy again next time, I'll tie a belt to the front of the hairdryer for you."

Su Ruan rubbed her aching wrist, a mocking smile playing on her lips.

"Oh, Mr. Yan has this kind of quirk?"

"You even use a belt to blow-dry your hair? Looks like you've done a lot of research on this!"

Yan Tingnan ignored her, placed the hairdryer on the bedside table, and then pinched her cheeks.

"You have a sharp tongue."

Upon hearing this, Su Ruan's face turned bright red.

"Yan Tingnan!"

She was so angry she wanted to bite someone.

"Are you even being reasonable?"

"reason?"

He scoffed.

"My bed, my rules."

"If you don't want to sleep, then don't sleep tonight."

Su Ruan: "..."

Su Ruan gritted her teeth.

Forget it, if we confront them head-on, we'll definitely be the ones who suffer.

Those who understand the times are wise!

The flicker of anger in her eyes vanished instantly, replaced by a wet, innocent look.

"President Yan, I'm sleepy."

Even her voice softened, carrying a sense of weariness and vulnerability.

She gently hooked the loose tie of his bathrobe and swayed it slightly, like a cat begging for mercy.

I want to sleep.

Yan Tingnan lowered his eyes, watching her small gesture of gently swaying the belt of her bathrobe.

That soft, sweet voice saying she wanted to sleep touched the softest spot in his heart.

"Tired?"

His voice was deep and husky as he brushed his fingertips against the corners of her slightly reddened eyes.

Where's that tickling energy you were just now?

Su Ruan immediately buried her face in the front of his loose bathrobe, sulking.

"You've worn me out. My hands are sore and my mouth is tired."

Yan Tingnan scoffed and pinched the back of her neck, pulling her slightly out of his arms.

"Delicate."

His tone sounded disdainful, but the pressure on his hands eased.

He pulled the corner of the blanket away from her hand, and lay down while only lifting the other side of the blanket.

He stretched out his arm and pulled the person into his embrace.

Su Ruan bumped into his warm chest, her back pressed tightly against his firm abdomen.

His arm loosely encircled her waist.

This isn't sleeping.

This is clearly torture.

She tried to move it outward by half an inch.

"Su Ruan".

The warning sounded close to my scalp, hoarse with a sleepy tone.

"Don't move."

Su Ruan completely gave up, leaning back in despair, her head resting against his chin.

Surprisingly, he didn't say anything more.

Sleepiness finally overwhelmed me.

Half-asleep, she felt the arms around her waist loosen a little, and warm palms covered her cold lower abdomen.

Is this flower from a high mountain only half picked?

But the feeling of sleeping in the same bed but dreaming different dreams...

How come it's even more tedious than getting things done?

The next day, the morning light pierced through the gauze curtains.

When Su Ruan opened her eyes, there was no one beside her, only a faint scent of sandalwood remained on her pillow.

She got up, washed up, changed her clothes, and slowly made her way to the dining room.

Yan Tingnan was already seated at the head of the long table.

She was aloof and dignified, the uncontrollable desire of last night completely gone.

Only the ambiguous red mark below her collarbone testified to the absurdity of last night.

Su Ruan rubbed her sore wrist and stepped forward, pulling out the chair next to him to sit down.

Just like last time, the butler remained silent and did not order the meal.

"I'll take you to your company after you finish eating."

Yan Tingnan put down his silver chopsticks, his voice in its usual deep and cold tone.

Su Ruan stirred the porridge and casually asked.

"Is Mr. Yan's schedule very full today?"

"Um."

He picked up his coffee and took a sip.

"Fly to Zurich at 10 o'clock to discuss a cooperation project and take care of some personal matters."

Zurich?

Su Ruan looked up, the spoon hovering in mid-air.

"how long?"

"Returning before the Cocoon Breakthrough Exhibition".

His answer was concise.

Su Ruan didn't ask any further questions and continued to drink her porridge.

The atmosphere was somewhat quiet.

She seemed to suddenly remember something, and gently tapped the spoon against the rim of the bowl.

"President Yan."

She turned her head to the side and asked casually.

"Why didn't I hear you getting up in the middle of the night to copy Buddhist scriptures last night?"

"Weren't you copying quite diligently at four in the morning last time?"

"That night there was quite a commotion. I thought you had encountered a bottleneck in your cultivation, and you were so murderous."

Yan Tingnan's hand holding the coffee cup froze in mid-air.

The condensation around his glasses blurred his vision, and his Adam's apple bobbed as he was stung by Su Ruan's words.
