Chapter 99 Playing hard to get, flirting and then running away

The engine roared back to life, rolling over the gravel road and back onto the main road.

The car was quiet for a moment, with only the low hum of the air conditioner blowing air.

The beauty and chaos that had just unfolded in the wilderness have been temporarily sealed away, yet they linger like embers, silently scorching the air.

Yan Tingnan controlled the steering wheel with one hand, while his other hand remained firmly on Su Ruan's hand.

His fingertips gently caressed the base of her thumb, like playing with a piece of warm, smooth jade.

We passed through a small town where lights were scattered.

Yan Tingnan slowed down and parked the car in front of a restaurant that looked quite local.

"Eat something."

He unbuckled his seatbelt.

"High altitude, physically demanding."

Su Ruan: "..."

She suspected he was driving, but had no proof.

The restaurant was small, but steaming hot.

A simple yak hot pot with a rich broth and tender beef.

Yan Tingnan didn't eat much; he spent most of his time eating hot pot meat, and then naturally put some into her bowl.

"Eat more to replenish your energy."

His tone was flat, as if he were giving instructions.

Su Ruan bit into the tender beef, her cheeks flushed from the heat.

After drinking the hot soup, my limbs and bones felt relaxed and comfortable.

Look up at him.

He was blowing on a small spoonful of soup to cool it down, his gold-rimmed glasses fogged up, obscuring his usual sharpness and revealing a gentler side.

Su Ruan's heart felt as if it had been gently bumped by something.

"What are you looking at?"

Yan Tingnan looked up and caught her gaze.

Su Ruan lowered her head and drank her soup, muttering softly.

"Look how virtuous Teacher Yan is."

Yan Tingnan chuckled softly, his voice so low that only the two of them could hear it.

"I'll save the praise for tonight."

Su Ruan almost choked.

That old scoundrel!

As they paid the bill and stepped outside, a gust of cold wind blew, and Su Ruan instinctively moved closer to him.

Yan Tingnan spread his arms and wrapped her completely in his coat, then embraced her as they walked toward the car.

"Take a nap if you're tired, I'll wake you up when we get to the hotel."

The car drove onto the winding mountain road again, and the Milky Way hung low outside the window.

Night completely enveloped the plateau, and the outlines of the distant snow-capped mountains gleamed with a cool light under the moonlight.

With the car's heater on full blast, Su Ruanzhen fell asleep.

The Snow Mountain Hot Spring Hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, offering excellent privacy.

As soon as the car came to a stop in front of the detached villa, Yan Tingnan bent down and unbuckled her seatbelt.

As he moved, his breath brushed against her ear.

Su Ruan opened her eyes groggily and met his deep gaze, which was so close to hers.

"arrive."

"Um."

He responded, his voice hoarse.

His gaze fell on her slightly flushed cheeks and sleepy eyes, which were still moist from just waking up.

The cool, sandalwood scent emanating from him was both contradictory and alluring.

Su Ruan subconsciously licked her slightly dry lips.

Yan Tingnan's gaze instantly locked onto that alluring, watery color, his eyes unfathomably deep.

The air inside the car suddenly heated up.

The aggressiveness in his eyes almost swallowed her whole.

The atmosphere, the distance, the gaze.

Could it be that he couldn't hold back any longer?

The old fox has been holding back his anger all the way, and he's probably going to get it back with interest.

Su Ruan held her breath, her eyelashes trembling slightly, almost able to foresee the kiss he would press down on her in the next second.

But then he felt a lightness in his body.

"Did you sleep so much you're stupid?"

His voice was low and hoarse, brushing against my eardrums.

Yan Tingnan abruptly stepped back and nimbly got out of the car.

"get off."

His voice returned to its usual deep and cold tone as he went around to the back of the car to retrieve his luggage.

"It's cold outside, put on your coat."

Su Ruan: "..."

That's it?

She was prepared for him to pin her down in the car and demand some interest first!

It's always like this! Playing hard to get! Flirting and then running away!

With his wire-rimmed glasses on, he looked quite respectable.

Who knows if inappropriate content for children is already playing on a loop in their head?

Su Ruan slowly got out of the car, the cold wind of the plateau making her shiver.

Yan Tingnan carried the luggage in one hand and took her hand with the other in a very natural manner.

His palms were warm, holding her slightly cool little hands tightly.

Under the moonlight, surrounded by distant snow-capped mountains and forests, a hotel with a strong sense of design nestles among them, exuding understated luxury.

The front desk was quiet and efficient, and the staff led them to their room.

The room is a detached villa with a private hot spring, offering excellent privacy.

The interior features a color scheme of natural wood and warm gray, offering excellent views with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the majestic snow-capped mountains.

The waiter left, and the door closed.

Only the silence of the two people in the room and the vast yet desolate world outside the window remained.

Su Ruan walked to the window and looked at the snow line in the distance.

Yan Tingnan tightened his arms around her waist, and his gold-rimmed glasses were taken off and tossed onto a low cabinet beside her.

Are you tired?

He asked, his voice hoarse and barely audible.

Su Ruan's heart tightened, and she gently shook her head.

He chuckled softly, took her earlobe in his mouth and gently bit it, his breath hot.

"But I'm tired, I'm too tired to endure it."

He turned her around, pressed her against the glass, and kissed her, completely stripping away any restraint in his plunder.

Su's legs were weak, and he had to rely entirely on his arms for support.

“Yan Tingnan…”

She gasped in surprise.

"Floor-to-ceiling windows, great night view."

"Let me take a look first."

Su Ruan tried to struggle a little.

"I'll take my time to look at it later."

Yan Tingnan held her chin with one hand, forcing her to turn her head to accept his deep kiss.

Outside the window, there are tranquil snow-capped mountains and starry skies.

"Look outside."

Will the stars fall down?

Yan Tingnan's voice was seductive.

"I won't watch."

Yan Tingnan chuckled softly, biting her earlobe, his voice muffled.

"What are you afraid of?"

"The snow-capped mountains are not visible."

"Only I saw it."

This person has completely given up on being human!

She had a vague memory of how she got to the hot spring pool.

"Take a soak to relieve fatigue."

Su Ruan leaned against him, feeling lazy and unwilling to move.

Steam rises from the hot springs, the snow-capped mountains stand silently, and the starry sky hangs low.

The warm spring water soothed the sore skin, but it also fueled someone's arrogance.

The rising steam blurred the view.

He was extremely patient, gradually breaking down her defenses.

Su Ruan felt like a piece of ghee melting in his palm, soft and utterly tender inside and out.

The water flow enveloped me, easing the tension somewhat, but bringing a different kind of sense of helplessness and loss of control.

Yan Tingnan whispered in her ear, but it wasn't sweet talk.

Instead, it was a more direct instruction that made her blush and had nowhere to escape.

"Yan Tingnan, that's enough."

Her eyes were very red at the corners.

That's enough.

He kissed away the tears from the corners of her eyes.

"Ruanruan, you said before that I could do whatever I wanted when we went back to the hotel."

"Okay, it'll be ready soon."

He coaxed her softly, in a way that was deadly sexy.

"How long is 'soon'?"

She asked him, her voice trembling with tears.

"Until I'm satisfied."

After another round in the hot spring, Su Ruan was finally carried back to bed.

The moment she sank into the soft bed, she almost immediately fell asleep.

Yan Tingnan embraced her from behind, pulling her completely into his arms.

"Sweetie, this is the last time."

He promised, his voice nestled in the crook of her neck.

Su Ruan believed his lies.

"You said the same thing last time..."

"This time it's for real."
