Chapter 6

Chapter 6

Bang--

With a loud crash, a crack appeared on the flawless surface of the white jade table. Bowls and plates overturned, hot porridge spilled out, and delicate pastries rolled all over the floor. A small shard of porcelain flew up and cut Li Xiangjun's wrist, which was still resting on the table, leaving a red mark.

Li Xiangjun winced in pain, covering the wound with his other hand, his brows furrowed, and his eyes flashed with confusion:

"Are you crazy?"

The moment the chair in Jiang Minghua's hand landed on the dining table, Aunt Qin covered her mouth in fear and hid to the side, her eyes filled with disbelief. She looked at Jiang Minghua as if she were a stranger. How could Jiang Minghua, who was always obedient and meek, do such a violent thing? And afterwards, she even had a nonchalant smile on her lips.

Aunt Qin's pupils contracted when her gaze fell on the bloody mark on Li Xiangjun's wrist. She staggered forward, eager to check the wound.

"Xiang Jun, my son, let your mother see if anything is wrong."

Whether it was their resentment or panic, the "culprit," Jiang Minghua, seemed completely unconcerned. She didn't even lift her eyelids, acting as if nothing had happened. She leisurely picked up the last croissant on the table and handed one to Wen Chuqing, then slowly took a bite herself, followed by a sip of freshly squeezed orange juice. Only when she heard the nanny call Li Xiangjun's son did Jiang Minghua lift her eyelids, raise her eyebrows slightly, and ask:

“Aunt Qin, you call Li Xiangjun’s son? That’s strange. Isn’t Li Xiangjun Master Li’s son?” Then Jiang Minghua deliberately paused, pointing her slender finger back and forth between Li Xiangjun and the nanny:

"So, you and Master Li are a couple! No wonder you two were alone in a room so late last night." Jiang Minghua paused, feigning surprise as she covered her mouth, but her eyes were cold. "My goodness, our Jiang family is truly a great benefactor, we've unwittingly taken in your family of three."

Li Xiangjun's pupils contracted, a hint of annoyance flashing in his eyes, but he quickly regained his composure. He knew Jiang Minghua's feelings for him, and he also knew that Jiang Minghua was soft-hearted and easily fooled; as long as he coaxed her, this matter would be over.

He suddenly remembered that Jiang Minghua had once said that his profile looked a bit like Edward's in Twilight. So he turned slightly to the side, revealing what he considered to be his superior jawline, and patted Aunt Qin's hand reassuringly, signaling her not to panic.

“Minghua…” His voice suddenly turned into a bubbly tone, carrying a deliberately feigned gentleness and hurt:

"Did you suddenly get angry today because I lied to you?" He lowered his eyelashes, his thick lashes casting a shadow beneath his eyes, making him appear exceptionally vulnerable.

"If this is the reason, I apologize to you."

He slowly raised his wrist, letting the blood drip from his fingertips. His brow furrowed slightly, and a weak smile appeared on his pale face. His voice grew even softer:

“That’s right, Aunt Qin is indeed my mother. After my father and I found a place to stay in the city, we thought about bringing her from the village, but we were afraid that our family of three would cause inconvenience to my uncle and aunt, so we kept it a secret.”

As he spoke, his gaze towards Jiang Minghua deepened with affection and restraint, tinged with a hint of grievance: as if silently accusing her of not understanding.

"Minghua, you can understand my filial piety, right?"

When Li Xiangjun spoke to her in a bubbly voice, Jiang Minghua was almost driven crazy by his slickness. She really wanted to seduce him. Moreover, Jiang Minghua found Li Xiangjun to be a strange person. Why did he immediately turn his face away from her after talking to her? Is this guy crazy?

System: [Because the original owner said his profile resembled Robert's.]

The system suddenly came online to explain, and Jiang Minghua's face showed a look of incomprehension. My God, what was the original owner's eye like? She went blind at a young age. The original owner really needs to apologize to Robert!

After Li Xiangjun finished speaking, his gaze remained fixed on Jiang Minghua's face, a hint of expectation hidden in his eyes, even a faint sense of certainty that he had the upper hand. As long as he showed the slightest weakness, Jiang Minghua would soften and compromise, and even take the initiative to find excuses for him.

However, Li Xiangjun's expectations were destined to be dashed, as Jiang Minghua shook her head and said coldly:

"I'm sorry, I can't understand your filial piety, and I don't want to understand it!"

Upon hearing this, Li Xiangjun's expression froze, and even his breath caught in his throat for a moment. Then Jiang Minghua stood up, looking down at the two of them with a calm yet undeniably authoritative tone, and said:

"After what happened last night and this morning, Master Li and Aunt Qin have been dismissed. I'm giving you one day to leave the Jiang family. After all, our Jiang family is too small to accommodate three big shots like you. I hope we won't see you at home after school today."

After Jiang Minghua finished speaking, she didn't look at them again, reached out and took Wen Chuqing's wrist, and turned to leave.

Just as the two were about to step out of the restaurant, the door was suddenly pushed open.

"Minghua!" Master Li rushed in, panting, beads of sweat still on his forehead, clearly having run all the way here, his face filled with anxiety.

"The garage door suddenly won't open! What time is it? If we delay any longer, Xiang Jun and you will be late for school! What's going on?"

Jiang Minghua paused, but without turning around, she explained casually, "It's very simple. I changed the password."

Mr. Li was stunned and hadn't reacted yet when he heard her continue:

"By the way, you and your family of three have just been fired." She tilted her head slightly, her gaze sweeping over Mr. Li, whose face had changed drastically, and then over Aunt Qin and Li Xiangjun behind him, whose expressions were stiff. She chuckled, "Let your wife and son explain the details to you slowly."

She tightened her grip on Wen Chuqing's hand and walked away without looking back.

"Let's go, or we'll really be late if we delay any longer."

"Minghua, are you really not going to do anything about them?" Wen Chuqing was pulled along by her, her steps faltering slightly. She couldn't help but turn around and glance at the Li family of three who were frozen in place.

Jiang Minghua chuckled and looked up at Wen Chuqing: "Chuqing, your saintly heart is always on display. Instead of feeling sorry for them, you should feel sorry for me instead."

Wen Chuqing naturally understood the sarcasm in Jiang Minghua's words and obediently shut her mouth. How could Minghua suddenly become so terrifying?

Meanwhile, Jiang Minghua was pondering whether it was possible to replace Wen Chuqing's brain with Mingjia's.

She really missed Mingjia.

After Jiang Minghua and Wen Chuqing left, only the Li family of three remained in the large Jiang family home. Master Li looked at the injury on his son's wrist, then at the mess in the restaurant, and remembering Jiang Minghua's words about firing them, he frowned and asked in a low voice:

"What exactly happened?"

Qin Guilan complained, "Who knows what kind of madness that ancestor has gone mad with? Look, our son's wrist is bleeding. Our son's hands are so precious. If she really gets together with Xiang Jun in the future, you'll see how I torture her to death."

As she spoke, she tenderly picked up Li Xiangjun's wrist, her heart aching as she looked at the scar.

Li De frowned, his cloudy eyes darting back and forth. Jiang Minghua's drastically different behavior over the past two days had made him uneasy. He subconsciously turned his gaze to his son, his calloused fingers tapping incessantly on his knees, waiting for his son to give an explanation.

Li Xiangjun lowered his eyelids, his slender fingers unconsciously stroking his chin. The light streaming through the French windows cast varying shadows on his handsome profile, making his expression appear even more unpredictable. After a while, he suddenly chuckled softly, "Dad, I remember now. She probably found out about me going to the movies with the class beauty last week."

Upon hearing his son's words, Li De slapped his thigh, grinned to reveal slightly yellowed teeth, and the wrinkles on his face smoothed out:

"That's absolutely right! What young girl doesn't get jealous?"

She then put on a stern face and pointed her index finger at her son sharply, "I'm not trying to criticize you, but at this crucial moment you still can't control yourself? Once you've got that piece of fat meat from the Jiang family in your mouth, you can do whatever you want with it!"

Qin Guilan, however, protected Li Xiangjun like a mother hen, and said with dissatisfaction, "Be gentle, our son is still injured. Just thinking about how our son was wronged by that brat Jiang Minghua makes my heart feel like it's on fire."

Li De glared at Qin Guilan, angrily rebuking her for her womanly compassion and short-sightedness. He pulled Li Xiangjun closer, leaned in, and whispered:

"The most important thing now is to coax that little devil back. Doesn't she love your gentle and considerate act the most?" A shrewd calculation flashed in his cloudy eyes. "Remember, patience is key; things will calm down once it's all done..."

Before he could finish speaking, Li Xiangjun noticed the coldness in his father's eyes and nodded in response.

They underestimated Jiang Minghua. Jiang Minghua never liked to drag things out, and she naturally knew that the Li family of three wouldn't leave obediently. So when they arrived at the school gate, Wen Chuqing got out and went into class first, while Jiang Minghua sat in the driver's seat, tapping the steering wheel lightly a few times. Then she took out a small advertising card for a debt collection company that she had picked up by chance, looked at the contact information on it, and decisively dialed the number. Her red lips parted slightly, her voice carrying a hint of cold languor:

"Hey, I have a job for you, bro. I don't know if you'd be interested? It's not about collecting a debt, it's about some people who're refusing to leave my house. As long as we get those three people out and make sure they never dare to cause trouble again, we'll do whatever it takes. I'll give you a 50,000 deposit, and you can pay the remaining 100,000 after it's done."

On the other end of the phone, the head of the debt collection company was playing cards with a cigarette in his mouth when he heard the number and sat up abruptly. He stubbed out his cigarette and asked gruffly, "Send me the address."

After hanging up the phone, he grinned at his group of brothers in the room:

"Brothers, we've got a big order!"

Meanwhile, the Li family of three was sitting in the living room. Li De, legs crossed, swung his feet smugly: "If you ask me, that girl's just jealous. Xiang Jun, bring a bouquet of flowers tomorrow..."

Before he could finish speaking, the door was suddenly kicked open with a bang.

Several burly men filed in. The bald man at the head of the group wore a tight black vest, had a scar over his right eye, and a menacing blue dragon tattoo on his bare arm. Li De was startled and dropped his teacup with a clatter, splashing hot water all over his trousers. He didn't even bother to wipe it off and hurriedly hid behind his son.

"What are you doing?!" His voice trembled, his bravado masking his fear. "This is trespassing! I'm calling the police!"

Scarface chuckled, stretched his neck, and adopted a nonchalant attitude:

"Call the police?"

He approached step by step, his leather shoes shuffling across the floor in a chilling rhythm. "Is this your house? My employer, surnamed Jiang, said that the three of you are the ones who are staying here and refusing to leave... So, how do you plan to report this today?"
