Ye Shuang couldn't help but laugh: "What if I don't go home?"
The boy wasn't stupid. It was so late, and he dared to wander around here as if taking a leisurely stroll, and even dared to make such jokes. There was no one else but the immortal mentioned in his master's message. He quickly clasped his hands and knelt down: "Greetings, immortal. I was rude. Please forgive me."
Ye Shuang stopped smiling; that wouldn't be fun. She gave a casual reply and walked past him.
Hearing Ye Shuang's footsteps receding into the distance, the young man quickly stood up and followed behind her. He didn't know what he had said wrong, and dared not say anything more. He could only silently follow behind her until they got closer, at which point he whispered, "How do we do the Immortal Project?"
Ye Shuang looked at the figure inside the room, chuckled, and said, "What's the point of planning with just a little demon like this? Come out yourself before I get too upset, and I'll give you a quick death."
The first part of what she said to the boy was relatively mild, but the second part was quite threatening. With Ye Shuang's words, how could she dare to come out?
Ye Shuang frowned impatiently and looked at the boy: "Go ahead."
"Yes." The boy didn't dare to say anything more and immediately drew his wooden sword and slashed at the tightly closed courtyard gate.
Unexpectedly, the courtyard gate not only remained undamaged, but it even countered the boy's force. The boy stumbled back a few steps, looking over in disbelief.
Ye Shuang crossed her arms. Oh, so that explains it. How come this little demon is so bold? She's already given the order, yet she still dares to cower in the room without moving. So there's some kind of barrier here? But this kind of low-grade, inferior barrier, trying to stop her? Isn't that just wishful thinking?
Ye Shuang snorted coldly, and an aura of pressure belonging to the Great Perfection of the Nascent Soul stage descended. Without her even using her spiritual power, the formation couldn't even withstand three breaths under her pressure.
The barrier shattered, and the boy continued running inside, wooden sword in hand. Ye Shuang followed behind him, slowly making her way inside, step by step.
Before she could take ten steps, the inner door was pulled open, and a woman dressed in white, which made her even more beautiful, appeared in the doorway: "Let me go, I'll do whatever you want."
Look at their dignified and unyielding demeanor; anyone who didn't know better would think they were the villains, and this woman was like a bullied little white flower.
“When you used your first child to prolong your husband’s life, you should have known this day would come sooner or later.” Ye Shuang put her hands behind her back, completely ignoring the woman’s words, and continued, “No matter how helpless you are, it’s no use. You have to choose between taking your own life or me having him kill you.”
"Wait..." a weak voice came from inside, "We didn't hurt those children, can you please spare my wife?"
Hearing this, Ye Shuang almost laughed. This was still a mortal who knew the inside story: "Your wife told you that those children are still alive and well?"
This mocking tone was met with an even more violent cough from the weak voice inside: "I trust my wife. Please investigate thoroughly before you come back."
"Wait until they leave, so these two can escape?" Ye Shuang sneered, looking at the young man: "What are you still standing there for? Waiting for me to teach you how to kill a demon?"
The young man charged toward the woman with his sword, and the woman, naturally, would not sit idly by and wait to die, and fought back.
However, to Ye Shuang, their fighting techniques were like children playing house; she easily bypassed them and entered the house.
