Beside Zhao Xiaodao was a somewhat worn-out large porcelain bowl filled with almost crystal-clear rice water. Zhao's aunt and her daughter were doing needlework in the bright light of the main room. The style of their work looked somewhat familiar, seemingly similar to what Li made every day.
