Chapter 356 Let her try taking it

"Young masters and ladies, please wait! I have some Tang-style wine vessels here, absolutely genuine, honest and fair. If you are interested, the price is negotiable!"

The stall owner ran and shouted, and by the time he reached Qin Sheng and the others, he was almost out of breath.

But he still stubbornly held up the wine cup in front of Qin Sheng and the others so that they could see it clearly.

Just based on her hard work, Qin Sheng felt she should buy the wine bottle.

Then she glanced sideways at the spot where the wine bottle had been, where a label marked $.00 stood alone.

Goodness, they're offering something worth over two million RMB right off the bat.

Qin Sheng immediately looked away.

She doesn't deserve it.

Qin Sheng tried to pull Fu Jingheng's hand away, but caught a glimpse of black out of the corner of her eye, and her heart skipped a beat.

Then, as if nothing had happened, she continued to hold Fu Jingheng's hand, making a move to leave.

The stall owner immediately panicked: "Hey, hey, hey, wait! Wait!"

"If you're not interested in this wine vessel, that's fine too. I have plenty of other things, whatever you want. Or, ladies and gentlemen, why don't you come over and take a look? The price is negotiable!"

Qin Sheng continued walking forward without stopping.

But the grip on Fu Jingheng's hand tightened a bit.

Fu Jingheng sensed it, and his eyes flickered slightly.

Then he took Qin Sheng's hand and said casually, "How about we take a look?"

Qin Sheng looked up at her, her expression unreadable.

Fu Jingheng continued, "My birthday is coming soon."

Qin Sheng glanced at him with some surprise.

I initially thought he was just making up a lie, but when I met his serious gaze, I realized what he meant.

That's true.

Qin Sheng stopped and asked, "When?"

Fu Jingheng: "February 19th."

Before Qin Sheng could speak, the stall owner, who saw a glimmer of hope, immediately began to earnestly advise her: "Today is February 7th, there are only twelve days left. Miss, don't think that twelve days is a long time. In fact, it will pass in the blink of an eye."

"You're Chinese, right? I know you have some kind of 'treasure' that makes buying things very convenient, but I've heard that the delivery is never on time, especially those courier companies in China—they're all unreliable!"

"Even if you place an order right now and the seller guarantees on-time delivery, there's no guarantee. It's not as reliable as buying it in person."

"Trust me, these are all top-quality items I collected after traveling across five continents and seven oceans. If you think they're too expensive or not worth it, how about I offer you a special discount?"

"Opening blind boxes."

"Yes, blind boxes are popular in China, right? Just tell me which items on my stall you're interested in, and I'll pack them in a blind box for you for 10,000 RMB each. You can take as many as you want."

"This is both economical and surprising, how about it, want to have a few?"

With such persuasive words, Qin Sheng was almost convinced.

So she pretended to be persuaded.

She glanced at Fu Jingheng, then at the stall, and finally said rather casually, "Fine."

Then he casually pointed to about ten items and said, "Put them in boxes first."

The stall owner was overjoyed and immediately returned to his stall.

While quickly packing the dozen or so items Qin Sheng pointed out into a black box, he kept glancing in the direction of the others.

They were afraid that he might lose the fat pig that was delivered to his door... no, the big business if he wasn't careful.

Three minutes later, the boxing was complete.

The stall owner shoved everything into a large basket and handed it to Qin Sheng, then couldn't help but tentatively say, "Why don't you take it all? Thirteen items, I'll count ten as yours, and I'll give you 100,000 RMB."

Qin Sheng: "..."

"Need not."

She reached out and rummaged through the basket a few times, then, growing impatient, grabbed two and tossed them into Fu Jingheng's hand: "These two are fine. You can keep them and open them slowly on your birthday."

She paused, then added, "Don't ask me for it again."

Fu Jingheng nodded, suppressing a laugh: "Understood."

Then he had Mo Tian pay the bill, took Qin Sheng's hand again, and slowly left.

Seeing this, other vendors were tempted to do the same, wondering if they should also try to clear out the trash that had been sitting unsold for a long time.

Before they could figure it out, they saw a man in a shirt and trousers leading a group of people toward the stall owner from before.

“Miss Marian, this is it. This is the stall I saw the thing I was talking about. Could you take a look and see if it’s…”

The man spoke as he walked, but halfway through his sentence, he suddenly realized something was wrong.

He quickly scanned the stall and immediately realized that the item he wanted was no longer there.

My heart immediately jumped.

He grabbed the stall owner and demanded, "Where's that black stone I saw before?!"

The stall owner was stunned for a moment, then remembered.

His heart skipped a beat, and he broke free from the man's hand to rummage through the remaining blind boxes in the basket.

They quickly opened the remaining eleven boxes, but couldn't find the stone.

A strange feeling rose in the stall owner's heart. Almost subconsciously, he rushed to Qin Sheng and reached out to snatch the two blind boxes that Fu Jingheng was still holding.

He said, "I'm sorry, I made a mistake. These two items don't count in the blind box. Please give these two back to me, and I'll pick two more... no, three more. Consider the extras a gift from me as an apology."

Although they spoke very politely and kindly, Qin Sheng and Fu Jingheng's expressions gradually turned cold.

Fu Jingheng casually stuffed the two boxes into his pocket, then pulled Qin Sheng away from the stall owner's outstretched hand.

Once she had stopped, she lifted her eyelids to look at him: "You say you won't sell, and that's it? Did I agree to that?"

The stall owner looked past the group and saw that the man in the shirt and trousers had followed them. He immediately became agitated: "It's just a few blind boxes. Which one you get is the same to you. Since that's the case, why not do others a favor and do yourself a favor? I already said I'd give you an extra one. What more do you want?!"

He then lowered his voice and said, "You outsiders don't know, but the woman who came over later is the eldest daughter of the Arad family. She's notoriously unreasonable, and if she sets her sights on something, she has to get it."

"Right now you have what they want. Even if you don't give it back, they'll force you to hand it over in a bit. They might even just snatch it without paying. If they do, I'll exchange it for another blind box. At least I won't lose out, right?"

Qin and Fu replied indifferently, "Then let her try to take it."

Why won't these two listen to reason?

The stall owner was both angry and anxious, and wanted to persuade them again, but by then Marian and her group had already arrived next to Qin Sheng and his party.

His expression changed, and he could only shut his mouth with a livid face.
