This is Qin Sheng's first birthday since returning to the Qin family, and it is also her coming-of-age ceremony at eighteen. Gu Yueming and Qin Zheng started preparing for it three months earlier when they returned to Ancheng from the outskirts.
Originally, we wanted to hold it at the Qin family's residence, but considering the venue, manpower, and other issues, we temporarily changed the location to the Shengyuan Hotel.
As the most upscale and prestigious hotel in Ancheng, Shengyuan Hotel's schedule is already fully booked. If someone tries to book the hotel's largest hall only a week in advance, then sorry, it's simply not available.
But the Qin family is different.
Putting aside the fact that the Qin family is the most prestigious family in Ancheng and their status is extraordinary, this birthday banquet was held for Qin Sheng.
Manager Fang's expression straightened as soon as the other party mentioned Qin Sheng's name, and then he heard that they wanted to hold a birthday banquet and a coming-of-age ceremony for Qin Sheng.
Good heavens!
He said directly, "Don't worry, Mr. Li, I'll clear out the entire fifth floor and connect it into a banquet hall. I conservatively estimate it can accommodate around a thousand people. If that's not enough..."
Uncle Li snapped out of his daze and quickly said, "That's enough, that's enough."
Although many people have expressed their desire to attend the banquet, both openly and covertly, the couple has only sent out fewer than three hundred invitations so far, which is enough for the entire fifth floor.
In fact, according to Uncle Li's estimate, one of the largest halls would be enough, but it would be better if it were more spacious, so he did not refuse Manager Fang's offer.
Then the two discussed the details of the banquet. Uncle Li mainly mentioned some of Gu Yueming and Qin Zheng's requirements, which Manager Fang wrote down one by one in a small notebook. He also offered many suggestions based on his experience in organizing countless banquets.
The two had a very pleasant conversation.
Finally, Uncle Li took out a bank card and handed it over with a friendly smile: "Since I only planned to book one hall, I only brought five million with me. Manager Fang, please accept this first, and we can settle the rest next time you come."
The amount involved was quite large, and Manager Fang was unsure whether Mo Tian's statement that "Ms. Qin will receive free services at all industries under the Mo Group" would still be effective. After thinking for a moment, he did not accept the offer immediately, but instead said, "President Li, please wait a moment, I need to make a call first."
Uncle Li nodded, indicating that he would like to proceed.
Manager Fang didn't have Fu Jingheng's contact information, so she called Mo Tian instead. She explained the situation first, and then cautiously asked, "This banquet will conservatively cost at least ten million. Do you think we'll accept this money?"
Nonsense, of course we won't accept it!
Their eldest son is almost married into the Qin family, why would they still charge a banquet fee!
Mo Tianxia instinctively wanted to answer, but then he thought, wait a minute!
Given the prejudice that the Qin couple held against their eldest son, and knowing that Mo's International was Third Master's business, they would probably have changed the banquet location rather than take advantage of it.
That won't do.
Mo Tian thought for a moment and said, "Take it."
Manager Fang immediately smiled and was about to agree when Mo Tian continued, "After accepting the money, keep it in a separate place and return it to Miss Qin on the day of the banquet as a birthday gift from the hotel."
Manager Fang: "..."
So the money you actually receive still has nothing to do with the hotel?
Manager Fang really wanted to say, if you're going to send a gift, why not send it in the name of the boss? Why make it a gift from the hotel? Isn't that redundant?
But he didn't dare, and could only say with a wry smile, "I understand."
Inwardly, I couldn't help but complain: These big shots are just too much trouble. They make such a simple thing so complicated. Don't they know that this makes it very difficult for the hotel's finance department to do the accounting?
Mo Tian was unaware of the other party's complaint. If he had known, he would have sneered: "If no job is easy, what's the point of paying them such high salaries?"
Are we just leaving it there as a decoration?
He, the second-in-command at Mo's International, works overtime until midnight every day, and his hairline has receded several millimeters. How dare his subordinates complain about such trivial matters?
June 20th, 5 PM.
People entered the Shengyuan Hotel one after another, handed in their invitations, and were then led to the banquet hall on the fifth floor.
The crowd huddled together in small groups, whispering amongst themselves, their eyes constantly glancing toward the entrance to the banquet hall, waiting for the day's main character to appear.
In a corner.
A wealthy woman dressed in glittering gold pulled a tall, handsome young man aside and whispered something to him. The young man's face turned red and then pale, eventually becoming completely black.
Finally, she said coldly, "Mom! This is Qin Sheng's birthday banquet. The Qin family takes it very seriously. Don't do anything reckless!"
Mrs. Ji was disdainful, but she was used to obeying her son. Hearing this, she pouted and said, "I know what I'm doing, don't worry."
Ji Yangchen was not at all at ease.
He already knew that although his mother's own circumstances were average, she was a troublemaker. It was only because she was not allowed to do so most of the time that she was a little more well-behaved.
But given the chance, she'd love to provoke everyone.
Gu Yueming is the best example.
Given the situation today, he should have given more instructions, but for some reason, Ji Yangchen's gaze deepened slightly, and he once again instructed, "Don't cause trouble. If you anger the Qin family, no one can stop her," before leaving.
His gaze was fixed on the doorway, and he tightened his grip on the wine glass slightly.
If his mother's idea actually came true, in front of so many people, perhaps...
The sudden thought that surged into Ji Yangchen's mind startled him. He shook his head to clear his mind of those wild thoughts and started talking to the person next to him.
But his eyes kept looking towards the door.
Amidst the clinking of glasses and lively conversation, Fu Jingheng arrived at the banquet hall first, and soon after, Qin Sheng entered accompanied by Gu Yueming and Qin Zheng.
Unlike the pastel pink hues of the previous two banquets, Qin Sheng wore a dazzling red off-shoulder evening gown today. She shed some of her girlish naiveté and coolness, and her already stunning beauty was further enhanced by the red dress, making her even more captivating.
Fu Jingheng stared intently at the girl who was the center of attention, his heart pounding uncontrollably. He had only one thought in his mind: to hide his little girl away and not let anyone see her.
He thought about it and went to meet her, until he stood in front of the girl.
A face no less beautiful than Qin Sheng's, as if painted with ink and woven with water, stared intently at the girl, extending his left hand towards her.
Qin Sheng: "?"
She glanced at her parents, and saw that although their expressions were slightly cold, they did not stop her or object.
However, something still feels off. Why is that?
Despite her thoughts, Qin Sheng decided to give her dog some face in front of so many people, so she extended her right hand and slowly placed it on Fu Jingheng's left hand.
The world seemed to stand still; the once bustling hall was now so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
