Chapter 6: Little girls should not go out alone at night.

There is a very faint watermark at the bottom corner of the page, a tiny six-pointed star.

Coincidentally, Qin Sheng recognized this mark.

She stared at the six-pointed star watermark for a long time, then slowly exited the page.

The next day.

Fu Jingheng had just returned from exercising when he saw Qin Sheng carrying a backpack and getting ready to leave.

He glanced at the time; it was 6:30.

Fu Jingheng raised an eyebrow: "Leaving so early?"

Qin Sheng paused in putting on her shoes and replied, "To school."

Fu Jingheng then remembered that seventeen years old was the age to start high school.

He rubbed his forehead and smiled, "I'll take you."

Qin Sheng did not refuse.

After the two had breakfast together, Fu Jingheng dropped Qin Sheng off at the entrance of Chunhe No. 1 Middle School. Just as he was about to speak, Qin Sheng spoke first: "I have something to do tonight, so you don't need to pick me up."

Fu Jingheng chuckled and watched her enter the school gate.

Qin Sheng sensed something was wrong as soon as she entered the school. She glanced around, and the gazes that had been fixed on her immediately looked away, but then returned to her the next moment.

Some faint whispers reached my ears.

"Tsk, she usually acts like a cool and aloof goddess, I never expected her to be this kind of person. She even tries to seduce her own brother. What do you think she's after?"

"But this time she's tried to steal a chicken but lost the rice instead. Not only did she fail to win over Pei Yu, she was also kicked out of the Pei family. Let's see how she can be so smug now!"

"..."

Qin Sheng roughly figured it out.

The Pei family...

fine.

She glanced at the girls who were talking, her eyes completely indifferent. The girls, however, seemed to have been burned by something, their eyes narrowing as they fled as if they were running away.

Qin Sheng ignored it and continued walking towards the classroom, but she was blocked in her way not long after she had gone.

They were a group of rather shady-looking boys.

The boy in the lead, with an unlit cigarette dangling from his mouth, blocked Qin Sheng's path and grinned slyly, "Hey little Sheng Sheng, you've got your eye on someone like Pei Yu? Why won't you agree to be my girlfriend? I'm way better than that guy!"

With a somewhat ambiguous smile, he was incredibly lewd.

A cold glint appeared in Qin Sheng's eyes.
