But just as they got close, they stopped in their tracks.
From the shadows of the cave, a man with a straight back slowly emerged. He met Qin Sheng's gaze, nodded slightly, and then walked past her.
Qin Sheng paused for a moment, then raised her hand to rub her temples.
They only noticed there was someone here now...
It was a minor incident, and Qin Sheng didn't take it too seriously. However, she stopped her steps from entering the cave and instead went to the end of the beach, entering the dense forest next to it.
With a thought, a small, bronze array plate appeared in his hand, intricate array patterns drawn on it.
However, upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that the area near the center of the array is still completely blank.
This is an ancient array plate that is not yet fully completed.
Qin Sheng's eyes flickered as she sat down cross-legged.
As Qin Sheng was drawing the array, a sentry on a lookout tower in the distant sea lowered his binoculars.
He paused, then couldn't help but look at his companion beside him: "Did you see a girl just now?"
His companion paused for a moment, then realized, "You mean that really pretty Asian girl who was standing on that pile of rocks earlier?"
The sentry nodded: "It's her."
His companion's eyebrow twitched: "Is there something wrong with her?"
The sentry was uncertain, but he said anyway, "I think she's spotted us."
His companion was stunned for a moment, then couldn't help but burst into laughter.
It took him a while to stop laughing: "How could that be? We're still a long way from the island. We need super high-powered binoculars to see what's going on over there. She's all alone, there's nothing there. Even if we stare in this direction, we can't see anything!"
He patted the sentry on the shoulder and said with a laugh, "You're just overthinking things. Don't worry, it's absolutely impossible."
The sentry hesitated for a moment, glanced in the direction they had come from, and finally could only helplessly reply, "Alright."
