Chapter 6: Little girls should not go out alone at night.

Lu Yanqing's gaze was extremely deep. He stared at Qin Sheng for a long time before suddenly turning around and going into the house.

He didn't say a single word to her.

Qin Sheng didn't mind, only glancing at the open door, a slight smile flashing in her eyes.

She followed him inside.

There was tea on the table, but Lu Yanqing showed no intention of brewing it. He just looked at her with a cold face and asked, "Why did you come back?"

Qin Sheng: "Take my Heavenly Domain."

These words seemed to ignite the anger that had been building up in Lu Yanqing's heart for many years, and he could no longer hold back.

"You still remember your Heavenly Domain? Why didn't you remember when you left it here without a word? Why didn't you remember when you were gone for two or three years without a single word?!"

"It was demolished, sold off, and gone!"

Lu Yanqing stared at her with wide eyes, his half-white beard almost flying up.

Qin Sheng pushed the freshly poured tea in front of the old man: "Have some tea to cool down first."

The girl's voice was soft, and her almond-shaped eyes were misty. Lu Yanqing's expression froze, and his anger slowly dissipated.

He picked up the teacup and took a few sips as if to cover up his actions.

Qin Sheng waited until he put the cup down before slowly speaking.

"I left suddenly more than two years ago because I took on a job temporarily. The reason I haven't been here for the past two years is..." Qin Sheng thought for a moment, then felt that explaining the sleep of consciousness was too troublesome, so he said, "It's because I was injured and lost my memory."

Lu Yanqing was shocked, only then noticing the wound on her forehead: "You injured your brain?!"

Qin Sheng: "..."

Without Qin Sheng even needing to say anything, Lu Yanqing quickly realized: "Oh, the amnesia happened two years ago, this is a recent injury."

Then it dawned on him: "So you lost your memory two years ago due to an injury, and then you got injured again recently and regained your memory?"

Qin Sheng nodded: "More or less."

Lu Yanqing's expression darkened further: "What's going on?"

Qin Sheng didn't want to talk about the unpleasant things with the Pei family, so she brought the topic back: "What about Tianyu? I need to look up some information."

This time, Lu Yanqing didn't make things difficult for her. He just gave her a deep look and then turned and went upstairs.

The Tianyu is a laptop computer that Qin Sheng made and assembled by himself. It is much smaller and thinner than a regular computer and doesn't look very impressive.

But apart from Qin Sheng himself, only Lu Yanqing knew how powerful Tianyu's performance was. Even two years later, he had never seen a computer that could compare to it.

Qin Sheng took the computer from Lu Yanqing, thanked him, and prepared to leave: "I'm leaving now."

Lu Yanqing said irritably, "Go away, go away, you'd better not come!"

Qin Sheng smiled slightly: "I will come."

Lu Yanqing snorted, but his expression improved considerably. He thought of something: "About taking over CHU (China Hackers Alliance) that I told you about before..."

"It's too much trouble," Qin Sheng interrupted him, reminding him, "Don't you think things will get even more complicated if I take over?"

Lu Yanqing was speechless.

After a long pause, he waved his hand and said, "Let's go, let's go."

Qin Sheng nodded to him and left.

*

As Qin Sheng got out of the taxi, she immediately spotted a figure leaning against a streetlamp not far away.

The dim light shone on the man's jade-like face, casting a thin silhouette that was both warm and carried a hint of innate coldness.

Qin Sheng was stunned for a moment, then walked over to Fu Jingheng: "What are you doing here?"

Fu Jingheng turned his head to look at her, then suddenly smiled and said, "I've been waiting for you."

The man gazed at her, his dark pupils reflecting her image—a mixture of depth, tenderness, and a strange, lingering affection.

Bathed in the dim yellow light, Qin Sheng felt as if something flashed through her mind.

She quickly came to her senses and hummed in response.

Fu Jingheng straightened up and earnestly instructed, "The little girl should not go out alone at night, and she should not take a taxi."

"It's too dangerous."

Qin Sheng: "...Understood."

Fu Jingheng gently ruffled her hair, his calm voice carrying a hint of coaxing: "If you absolutely have to go out, just tell your brother, and he'll take you."

The warmth from above her head was fleeting, and Qin Sheng couldn't help but glance at Fu Jingheng. But when she met the man's concerned gaze, the words she was about to say died in her throat.

never mind.

Qin Sheng withdrew her gaze: "Let's go back."

With that, he started walking.

Fu Jingheng smiled and followed.

*

Qin Sheng went straight back to her room.

Having not touched a computer for two years, she was a little rusty, but in just four or five minutes, she gradually got the hang of it.

Slender, white fingertips flew across the keyboard, lines of symbols swiftly traversing the black page until, at a certain moment, they abruptly stopped.

The progress bar loaded quickly, and Qin Sheng saw the information she was looking for in just a few seconds.

There was a lot of information, more than a hundred pages long, which Qin Sheng skimmed through.

That's normal.

All the information about the Qin family was normal; even Qin Sheng couldn't find anything wrong with it. If there was anything amiss, it was only the wife of the second master of the Qin family, the woman who looked about five-tenths like Qin Sheng, Gu Yueming.

Qin Sheng looked at the words "brought back by Qin Zheng in 1996, origin unknown" and a thoughtful look flashed across her eyes.

However, this had little to do with the information Qin Sheng was looking for, so she only glanced at it once before looking away.

Qin Sheng looked at the page twice more, and after confirming that there was no useful information, she was about to exit when suddenly her gaze sharpened.
