Chapter 41 July Flower

Chapter 41 July Flower

The Southern Tour was actually a purification tour to the nine southern cities. Originally, it was ten cities including Gaya, but that place had been completely abandoned.

The cities in the south are far away from the capital and have always been the areas most affected by elemental erosion. They are also close to the sea and forests, which are where monsters are most likely to appear. Therefore, the towns in the south are not prosperous and are mostly small villages.

Ye Yanze could not decide the route, where to go, who to meet, or even how long to stay. Once the great wizards of the three families of Hilt, Gene, and Eli reached an agreement, no one could change it.

It just so happened that the great wizard sent by Hilt this time was the one that Zelsa particularly hated in his previous life. Ye Yanze still remembered that if he had not arrived at that time, the great wizard would probably have died in his hands.

Ye Yanze wanted to ask him something, but Zelsa seemed to not know him at all and was only concerned about taking care of him. Occasionally, when the archmage assigned tasks to the mages, he would usually listen.

Along the way, they mostly passed through meadows, forests and rivers, but passed through eight cities. They basically did not encounter any danger along the way, and at most they met some people fleeing.

The trainee mages who were participating in the Southern Tour for the first time were all nervous at first, but after more than a month they had relaxed and were chatting and laughing when the Grand Master was not around.

"Zelsa, are you going to look for His Highness?" The brown-haired girl saw Zelsa riding his horse a few steps forward and waved to greet him.

Before Zelsa could speak, a black-haired, well-dressed young man interrupted: "Lydia, why are you so concerned about whether he will go to see His Highness?"

Lydia's face darkened, and she waved to Zelsa to tell him not to worry about this. Zelsa's eyes swept over the two of them, Lydia looked impatient, and the black-haired Wayne couldn't hide the look of concern in his eyes.

A young man who claims to be noble has fallen in love with a sharp-tongued commoner girl without realizing it. He can't help his restless mind and always does something out of the ordinary to her.

Zelsa looked forward and saw the spacious carriage. The sun was shining brightly today. He was sitting outside the carriage with his calves dangling outside, leaning lazily, and concentrating on flipping through the book in his hands.

He whistled softly, and the horse sped up immediately, allowing him to walk beside him. His long platinum-blond hair was spread out, with a few strands hanging naturally in front of his chest. Zelsa suddenly remembered the head of the Hilt family before he left, and couldn't help but eagerly reach out and grab his braid.

A leader who manipulates power, profit and money in the upper class did something that even he himself found incredible.

"Are you here to persuade me to return to the carriage, too?"

Ye Yanze seemed to be always flipping through books. Zelsa glanced at them several times and found that they were all books related to the study of elemental erosion. This time, he glanced at it and found that it was a book about the operation of power and elemental erosion.

"No." Zelsa got off the horse and easily got on the slowly moving carriage. He patted the horse with his hand, and the horse immediately turned around and went back.

He took out the tea set from inside, and after some clinking and banging, he brought out a cup of tea. Ye Yanze frowned, but when he brought it to him, he resignedly took it and took a sip.

Of course, it was impossible to satisfy Ye Yanze, so he handed it back, closed the book and looked at Zelsa. Zelsa didn't realize it at all, and drank it in two gulps.

Ye Yanze pretended not to see him and deliberately stuck to the place where he had drunk for more than a month. Although everyone knew that Zelsa had received the favor of His Royal Highness the Son of God and volunteered to be His Highness's servant, they could not be too intimate with each other.

Ye Yanze adapted well, but he could sense Zelsa's increasing anxiety and restlessness.

It was almost night when they arrived at a small town. This was a place where they had often stayed during their southern tours, so there were special buildings and rooms that had been cleaned in advance to welcome them.

The population of this town is not large, and most of the people living here are small vendors. When they arrived, a respectable gentleman in a shirt, suit and top hat stood at the front to greet them.

Of course, the three great wizards came forward to negotiate. Ye Yanze huddled in the carriage, lifted the curtain and looked coldly at them as they gave orders arrogantly. Zelsa sat next to him, watching him look too tired to make any expression.

The respectable gentleman was the mayor of the town. He was walking with a cane. After not seeing him for a few years, he seemed to have become much more flexible. In the past few years, he had a slight limp in his left foot. Although it was not obvious, Ye Yanze could sense it after watching him from behind for a long time.

He led them to what was arguably the most luxurious building in the entire town, and this time he walked completely normally.

Ye Yanze noticed that there were not many vendors or even many pedestrians on the street, and people passing by did not look at them, but just went about their own business.

Ye Yanze subconsciously looked at Zelsa beside him for a long time, causing Zelsa to stare at him in surprise at first, and then suddenly grabbed the back of his neck and gently kissed his lips.

"I'll come find you at night, leave a window open."

Ye Yanze didn't know what to say for a moment. He raised his hand to slap him, but he was also a little moved by his pure kiss.

In the end, he just patted his cheek and reminded him to be careful not to fall to death, and to remember to find a secluded place if he fell to death. He couldn't afford to lose face anyway.

Obviously, it would be difficult for Zelsa to fall to death with her skills. Ye Yanze was sitting on the sofa facing the window, continuing to flip through the book he had read during the day.

The room was brightly lit, and the sofa faced a narrow floor-to-ceiling window that was locked from the inside. Outside the window was a small terrace, bare and empty.

Ye Yanze didn't look there intentionally, but he was very familiar with the furnishings in this room: a large bed covered with gauze, ornate lampstands, antique bamboo chairs, and a round table with gold-painted tea sets with large flowers painted on them.

The gorgeous and exquisite things were angular, and they blended into the lights in the room. The silver spoons and cold white porcelain were shining, dignified and gorgeous to the point of being boring.

Tap-tock-tock

Three knocks on the window silently shattered the cold light here. Ye Yanze suddenly came back to his senses and found that the page of the book in his hand was not turned. He subconsciously looked up and the first thing he noticed was a handful of bright red in his arms.

The bright red flowers shattered the yellowed old-fashioned oil painting. Ye Yanze didn't know that there would be a day when he would open the window for the lecher who knocked on it in the middle of the night.

As the double windows were opened, the night wind blew in violently.

Zelsa was wearing a white shirt and black trousers, having changed out of the robe that expressed solemnity. His collar was open, his hair was blown messy by the night wind, and he was holding a bunch of warm red flowers in his arms.

"Where did you get it?"

Ye Yanze took the bouquet of flowers and his finger was accidentally scratched. There was no skin breakage or bleeding, but only a stinging pain remained on his finger. He lowered his head and pinched it, and couldn't help laughing.

Zelsha searched the house for a water bottle, but found nothing except a few teacups and teapots.

"There was someone selling roses at the corner of the street. I remembered you liked them, so I bought them all."

Ye Yanze did not ask why he went out alone. At least at this moment, he could simply enjoy the warmth of the moment. He sat on the bed, looking at them with his head down, and a healing golden light shone in his palms.

Zelsa turned around and saw this scene. She was silent for a moment and looked at his face hidden behind the bouquet for a long time, calm and gentle.

After the treatment, Ye Yanze hooked his hands towards him, hooked his neck, looked into his eyes and kissed him, then quickly lowered his eyelashes, became more focused, and gently rolled his lips over, opening the gap between his lips to reveal a line of wet red, lightly exchanging the touch of his lips and the softness of his lips and tongue.

The window was not closed, and the night wind blew in, causing the window to shake and creak. In the room there was only the faint sound of water, the sound of wet and soft things touching and separating, one after another.

The fragrance of the flowers was not strong and could only be smelled when you got close. When Ye Yanze separated from him, he immediately lowered his head to smell the flowers. The bright red flowers covered the blush on his cheeks and the swelling of his lips.

Zelsa held on and refused to leave, bending over to stay close to him. The hot breath she exhaled made the flower leaves tremble twice, and her black eyes were hidden in the shadows cast by the light.

"Your Highness... Your Highness... Have you gone to bed yet?"

Suddenly, there was a tentative knock on the door. It didn't sound like someone from the team. Ye Yanze looked at Zelsa, suddenly laughed, and forced the bouquet back to him.

Finally, they took action. Come to think of it, Gaya City can't afford to delay any longer.

Ye Yanze stood up, and Zelsa suddenly grabbed his hand, but just lowered his head for a long time without saying anything. However, Ye Yanze made a decision for him first, pulled back his hand and asked him in a low voice.

"What's wrong? Is there something wrong with the people outside?"

Zelsa choked twice and finally let go of her hand. Ye Yanze walked to the door in a few steps, his purple eyes filled with a strange calmness.

He pressed down with his palm, and the door that opened inwards just opened a crack, and powder sprayed towards him. Ye Yanze only had time to see that it was a girl with an unfamiliar face, and his whole body went numb, and he fell to the ground uncontrollably.

But a pair of hands caught him from behind and held him sideways in their arms. Ye Yanze's eyelids were heavy, and his limbs drooped weakly. He was facing Zelsa's black eyes. The light from above shone down, so he couldn't see his expression clearly.

He hugged Ye Yanze tightly, stuffed the bunch of warm red flowers into his arms again, and coaxed him softly: "Go to sleep."

The force of the tap on his back was so familiar, and Ye Yanze finally fainted in his arms, his forehead resting on Zelsa's shoulder.

Sunny had already closed the door. She turned around and saw Zelsa's unhappy face. He was so careful and even took a thick cloak to wrap himself up to keep him out of the wind.

Sunny wanted to say something but stopped herself. From his unprecedentedly gentle actions, she intuitively sensed that something was absurd.

Without saying anything more, Sunny led Zelsa, who was holding Ye Yanze, and walked out in a swagger. The whole building was quiet, and the few people who were drinking in the hall fell asleep on the table.

The middle-aged man in a suit heaved a sigh of relief when he saw them coming down, and this time his voice sounded very youthful.

"They have all taken the potion I gave them. They won't wake up for a while."

"Those archmages have no suspicions yet, but we must move now."

Zelsa held him and walked directly out of the main gate into the night breeze. The dim starlight in the distance fell into his eyes, and the soft light was mixed with thousands of thoughts.

He held Ye Yanze tighter, and a soft sigh drifted away in the night wind, with only the rose petals that accidentally fell down.
