Chapter 5 I have feelings for you

Chapter 5 I have feelings for you

"Thrown away?!" Yang Zhao exclaimed in disbelief.

Du Yanze responded casually, not understanding Yang Zhao's surprised expression at the moment. He was playing with a white business card in his hand, with only his name written in handwriting in the middle, and nothing else.

"Isn't that normal? According to Tang Zhilu's style, it's pretty good that he didn't throw it in front of me."

Yang Zhao pondered for a while and felt that what he said made sense, but he still couldn't help worrying: "Could it be...he noticed something..."

Yang Zhao reviewed the entire operation in his mind, but could not see any problem. Du Yanze was sitting in the seat chosen by Tang Zhilu last night. He laughed when he heard her words, but brought up another matter.

"I talked to the police yesterday. According to the criminal profile, these cases should have been committed by the same person. But after several rounds of investigation, we did not find anyone who had common contact with the victims."

Logically speaking, Fork's crimes are different from ordinary murders. They kill randomly, and it is difficult to find out their motives through interpersonal relationships. However, FAs usually have a period of getting close to the victim and gaining their trust.

It is important to sort out the common points of the victims or the people they have had contact with in common.

"Aren't all three victims related to Tang's? One of the victims, Lin Ye, was an employee of Tang's. It just so happens that I should start with Tang's..." Yang Zhao realized the problem as he spoke.

First of all, there are only three victims, not all of them. And they don't have any strong evidence to prove the connection.

Secondly, they have no idea whether Tang Zhilu is personally related to FA, or the entire Tang Group is related to FA. They can't even confirm Tang Zhilu's Fork identity.

Even if they start with Lin Ye, the police can only send police forces to investigate and visit her colleagues in the same department.

After a round, they were back to square one. To be more precise, they were back to Du Yanze's mission to get close to Tang Zhilu.

If Tang Zhilu is a potentially dangerous Fork, then we can intervene by filing a routine summons with the SDD...

Although this move may be suspected of being a sting operation, it is undoubtedly the best way to break the deadlock.

"So time is running out. We don't have time to play the game of cold-faced president and sweetheart pastry chef with him." Du Yanze said in a serious tone, which made Yang Zhao almost spit out water.

"First make sure he's Fork."

The corner of Yang Zhao's mouth twitched. So, sir, what kind of novels do you usually read? They seem quite familiar...

The days of rain finally cleared up, and the sunlight during the day evaporated the water vapor. Even in the evening, the air was still damp and sultry.

Tang Zhilu didn't wear a suit jacket this time, and his shirt sleeves were half rolled up, but he still looked cold and solemn. Before pushing the door open, Tang Zhilu hesitated for a moment, but the next moment he pushed the glass door open.

There was no special smell in the store today. The cool air from the air conditioner filled the air, making people sigh in comfort. Tang Zhilu's brows relaxed for a moment.

"Welcome, sir! What can I do for you?"

A girl with long curly hair, wearing a headscarf and two strawberry hairpins, came out with a smile. Tang Zhilu was a little confused, but he didn't think he had gone the wrong way.

He chose the same seat as last night and sat down, and couldn't help but look up into the baking room.

"Oh, looking for our boss?" The girl understood and handed over a glass of water with a smile.

Tang Zhilu stared at the glass of water in a daze, and the touch of that moment seemed to still linger on his fingers.

"There were a lot of people when the store opened a few days ago, and the boss was tired. So he made some bread in advance today and won't come to the store." She didn't care about Tang Zhilu's silence, and went back to the counter after she finished speaking.

Tang Zhilu sat quietly in his seat. After listening to her explanation, he did not rush to leave, but leaned back on the chair. There was only a faint sweet smell of bread and jam in the air, which even Tang Zhilu did not find strong.

The only thing missing was that familiar sweet taste. He didn't expect that after that night, he would never find it again...

"Eh? Boss, why are you here?"

Tang Zhilu was leaning against the store door, and upon hearing that, he couldn't help but turn his head to look over.

But Du Yanze seemed not to notice him at all, and greeted the shop assistant who came over with a smile.

"Good evening. I'm afraid it's unsafe for you to go home too late at night, so I'm here to take your place."

Du Yanze came here on a small electric scooter, with sweat on his forehead. As soon as he entered the door, he stood beside the water dispenser and drank cup after cup of water.

"I heard that several people have disappeared here for no reason recently. If something happens to you, where can I find a clerk with such a low salary?"

Du Yanze joked, his voice neither hurried nor slow, which made people feel good, and urged her to get off work.

Tang Zhilu didn't say anything, just sat there and watched him quietly. The water dispenser was far away from him, and he could only smell a faint scent.

Customers all know that there are no desserts for sale in the evening, and there will be few breads left in the evening. There is no one in the store at night. Du Yanze turned his head and accurately met Tang Zhilu's gaze.

His status does not require him to be familiar with the social etiquette of flattery. His dress and demeanor will subconsciously make people nervous and subconsciously flatter, so he will not hide his gaze at all.

Du Yanze smiled, and then he stayed in the air-conditioned room for a while before slowly walking to his side.

"Is there anything I need?" His tone was unfamiliar and polite, and he deliberately kept his distance. Tang Zhilu instinctively felt displeased.

"We don't sell desserts in the evening. We don't have much bread left..."

Du Yanze did not take his eyes off him, and both of them seemed unaware of the ambiguous atmosphere at the moment.

"But I can treat you to a meal once."

Tang Zhilu actually nodded in agreement and said thank you, but just as Du Yanze turned to leave, he suddenly asked him.

"Why are you so far away from me?"

Du Yanze raised his eyebrows and slowly approached Tang Zhilu: "You don't dislike me anymore?"

Before he could catch more scents, Du Yanze turned and headed for the bakery, reassuring him as he walked.

"Don't worry, you'll have new tableware." She undoubtedly saw through his obsession with cleanliness.

Tang Zhilu still didn't touch the glass of water on the table, but picked up the unopened disinfectant wipes beside him to wipe his hands. There was a glass partition outside the bakery, so everyone inside could see what they were doing.

Du Yanze was very efficient and the cooking table was very clean. As if he was worried that Tang Zhilu would have a mysophobia attack and couldn't accept it, he washed his hands again and again, disinfected them, and put on a mask.

Everything was ready, and soon Du Yanze came out with a small plate.

A square piece of chocolate glazed cake on a white porcelain plate.

"Opera?" Tang Zhilu recognized her at the first sight. Du Yanze responded with a smile, wiping the dishes carefully without taking off his gloves.

Opera Cake is also known as Opera House Cake. One reason is that its square shape, smooth and delicate chocolate icing and fine gold foil embellishments make it look like the stage of an opera house.

Du Yanze made the most traditional Opera flavor, with a rich and mellow chocolate aroma. Even Tang Zhilu couldn't find any fault with it.

Du Yanze sat across from him at an angle, a somewhat intimate but considerate distance. He propped up his chin and watched him cut the cake with a fork, his eyelashes drooping.

When Tang Zhilu cut it open, he found six distinct layers of fillings inside. The flavors of coffee syrup, rum, cream, and vanilla were intertwined and distinct, with a mellow and slightly bitter aroma, but also a hint of an unknown spicy aroma.

He couldn't tell what it was for a moment.

Tang Zhilu lowered his head slightly and took a bite. Du Yanze smiled and asked him, "How does it taste?"

Tang Zhilu acted politely and slowly, swallowing it all. He then took a sip of the water that Du Yanze had poured for him before speaking.

"Very good." Tang Zhilu noticed that after he said that, Du Yanze made a sound of dissatisfaction.

"It has rich layers and a mellow taste." Tang Zhilu looked at Du Yanze and added a rare sentence.

"real?"

"real."

Tang Zhilu watched Du Yanze come closer, and then watched him pull away as if realizing something was wrong. Tang Zhilu curled his fingers for a moment, suppressing the faint anxiety in his heart.

Du Yanze smiled and nodded. His eyes were round and his smile was always inexplicably contagious.

"As long as you like it."

After saying that, he seemed to have lost interest in Tang Zhilu, stood up and left, and returned to the bakery to clean up the counter. Tang Zhilu suppressed the desire to keep him, and sat down to finish the small plate of opera.

Du Yanze casually threw the empty medicine bottle into the trash can and looked up at Tang Zhilu who was slowly eating Opera without changing his expression.

“And kind of cute.”

Du Yanze smiled and ignored Tang Zhilu outside. He didn't plan to do anything extra tonight.

However, this time Tang Zhilu did not leave. Instead, he walked to the door of the bakery and waited for Du Yanze to come out.

"We are about to close. Why don't you go back so late?"

"I send you."

Tang Zhilu had no intention of asking for his opinion. Du Yanze raised his eyebrows and followed his words closely.

"reason?"

"It's not safe recently, you said." Tang Zhilu was very tall, and the door seemed small when he stood at it.

"We are not familiar with each other."

"not necessarily."

Du Yanze seemed to be amused by him and spread his hands: "You are really funny."

"Tang Zhilu, you can easily be misunderstood like this." Du Yanze didn't care that the other party had never revealed his identity and directly pointed out Tang Zhilu's identity.

"I misunderstood that you had feelings for me..."

“It’s not a misunderstanding.”

As an adult immersed in the business world, Tang Zhilu certainly understood Du Yanze's subtext. But he had to so calmly admit that he had impure thoughts about him.

Du Yanze was really amused this time, and readily agreed, keeping a distance from him and leaving together.

Tang Zhilu tilted his head, looked at Du Yanze and said, "Come closer."

"Why?"

"Because I have feelings for you."

Du Yanze was amused for the second time. The night breeze blew his hair, and the light pink color made him look furry.

"Boss Tang, this kind of thing usually requires active pursuit."

Du Yanze reached out his hand to him, knowing that Tang Zhilu had mysophobia. And since he had just been squatting beside his electric scooter to lock it, he would not reach out to help him.

The next moment, a hand came over his wrist. Tang Zhilu's hand was broad and his wrist bones were thick. He easily grasped Du Yanze's wrist.

Du Yanze was pulled to his side and met Tang Zhilu's still calm and indifferent eyes, but he lowered his head slightly and sniffed at the side of his neck in a very improper manner.

His movements were so calm and nonchalant that it seemed natural for him to do something that clearly crossed the line.

Du Yanze didn't hide or respond, but got directly into the back seat of his car.

In the small and enclosed space, all distances became a decoration. His overly sensitive senses would help him fully satisfy the hidden and unsatisfied desires of the past few days.

Du Yanze looked at Tang Zhilu's face, suddenly moved closer, and reached out to hook the glasses on his nose.

“It’s not a flat mirror.”

Tang Zhilu did not stop him. Instead, he lowered his head and let him lower his glasses as if indulging him, and asked him in a low voice.

"What? Didn't the person who sent you to approach me tell you?"

Tang Zhilu's glasses were taken off, and his sharp eyes looked directly at Du Yanze. His handsome appearance was different from Du Yanze's bewitching beauty, and it gave off a straightforward sense of oppression.

"Or, didn't Yang Zhao tell you either?"
