Chapter 54 July Flower You Can't Lose My
"Your Highness, it has been arranged."
Ye Yanze sat upright at his desk. The floor-to-ceiling window behind him was covered with thick velvet curtains. He stared intently at the lit candlesticks beside the table.
He had originally planned to wait for the Zelsa coup and then arrange for Bella to fake her death and leave, but after receiving that inexplicable letter, a strong sense of unease made him want to arrange for Bella to leave earlier.
Not only for her, but also for himself.
Even if it was arranged, it couldn't be 100% sure that it would be foolproof. But he couldn't show up, and he had to reduce his presence during this period of impending storm.
"Any news on Wally?"
Ye Yanze had already written a letter and handed it to Wally, but at this critical juncture, he couldn't rashly go for the interview.
"I've delivered the letter, but there's still no news."
It's been three days. With his status, he should have replied even if it was a rejection. Someone must have been intervening and doing it on purpose. Ye Yanze leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and calmed himself down.
The Grand Master had the same idea as before. No matter what he wanted to do to the Son of God, if he wanted to stage a coup, he would need to make friends with him. At least in these few months, Ye Yanze would be safe.
The next morning, the Archmage hurried to his side and reported in a low voice: "He has made a move. I'm afraid it will happen within the next two days. Queen Bella..."
While Ye Yanze was still thinking, a servant came running over from outside with an envelope exactly the same as the one from a few days ago.
"Lord Zelsa has summoned all members of the joint meeting and specifically asked you to be present today."
This is going to start today.
The Archmage looked at Ye Yanze, waiting for his decision. Ye Yanze took the envelope, but did not open it. He turned around and told the Archmage: "Pass the message to Bella, wait for her decision, and be prepared."
The situation has changed. Bella is in danger now. It is dangerous to stay still and it is also dangerous to make unnecessary moves. Bella has her own abilities and he does not intend to make decisions for her.
"You guys follow Bella's instructions. I'm going to the joint meeting."
Ye Yanze had to go. He had roughly guessed Zelsa's arrangement, and he had to represent the Hermann royal family at the joint meeting to give the final witness.
The Archmage understood that it would be better for him to stay at the joint meeting rather than in the unprotected old house of Hilt, so he just bowed and told him to be careful and immediately went to the royal court.
When Ye Yanze arrived, most people were already there. But Zelsa had not shown up yet, and the nobles were still talking quietly, in a relaxed atmosphere.
After all, Luther hadn't been around recently, and Ye Yanze had been keeping a low profile, so there were fewer quarrels and bargaining. As for the others, even Hilt's people and Ye Yanze hadn't noticed the movements at first, so they were naturally still happy, not knowing that a coup was about to happen.
Ye Yanze sat upright in his seat, with Luther's seat beside him vacant. Behind him, officials related to the Hilt family and small families came over to greet him.
The short-haired woman with a sharp tongue was really given an important position. Her seat was much closer to the front. She waited until the end to greet Ye Yanze, and then obviously hesitated to speak.
"Your Highness, you didn't have to come today." She said this first, and before Ye Yanze could answer, she continued: "But you still came. Can I understand that something big is going to happen today?"
As she spoke, she glanced at Suni, who was dressed in military uniform. In the past few days, everyone knew that she was the top person around Zelsa.
Ye Yanze liked her political acumen and only reminded her in a low voice: "Don't stand out later, just wait and see what happens."
"Not all problems can be solved by politics. Don't make unnecessary struggles before the outcome is certain."
She suddenly showed an expression of surprise, and then lowered her head in thought.
At nine o'clock, the clock outside the joint meeting rang a few times. At this time, everyone looked around and found that Zelsa was not at his seat.
People kept coming out to question Sunny. After all, if it wasn't for Zelsa's request, there wouldn't be so many people at this joint meeting. Gradually, some people came to their senses. All the nobles who held real power in the capital were here.
Sunny suddenly stood up from her seat. The crowd was silent and all kinds of anxious eyes were focused on her. Sunny took out a pocket watch with a chain and flicked it with her thumb, making a crisp sound that could be clearly heard in the joint meeting of hundreds of people.
She took a look, stood in the middle, bowed slightly towards Ye Yanze, and then raised her hand.
A group of men dressed in the same uniforms as hers marched straight in, some of them great wizards, and just as they were about to cast a spell, vines wrapped around their limbs, binding them firmly to their seats.
Ye Yanze had expected this, but he strongly disapproved of his rude and direct approach. He sat firmly in his seat. Everyone around him was controlled by the vines, but he was not imprisoned.
"Everyone wait a moment, His Majesty will be here soon." Sunny's first words were shocking.
The surrounding area was in an uproar, and only then did people realize that this was a coup.
"Do you take His Royal Highness the Holy Son seriously? The Herman royal family is not extinct yet, what do you want to do?!"
Ye Yanze stretched out his hand to stop the people from Hilt behind him from responding and speaking for him. This person was just looking for fun. If Zelsa hadn't usurped the throne, they wouldn't have said this. They would only support the abolition of the royal court, and then there would be another division of interests.
Now it is clear that Zelsa has eaten up Genn and the Royal Court, which has made him the de facto emperor.
"Your Highness!" Someone soon chose to push him out, waiting for Hilt's men to run into trouble.
Ye Yanze had told her in advance, and even though she didn't say anything, smart people had figured it out, and Hilt's side was calm.
"The Holy Son does not interfere in politics." Ye Yanze simply said this in a calm voice. "This is the resolution passed by everyone here, and I will always abide by it."
Sani bowed and saluted Ye Yanze: "You are still the most noble person in the empire."
This was a strange thing to say, but they were so busy wondering about the wind direction that they didn't expect Hilt had no further ideas.
Ta-ta-ta…
The leather boots tapped on the smooth and hard marble floor, making a rhythmic clicking sound. The scene fell silent, with everyone's faces filled with confusion.
After dealing with him for so many days, I found out that this master is not easy to talk to. If he gets the chance, he will bite off a piece of his flesh.
Who would have thought that half a year ago they could still decide his life or death here.
"Everyone is chatting so lively." Zelsa was wearing a black uniform and white gloves, and was playing with a sealed paper roll in his hand.
He was very tall, and the light leaking from the dome poured down on him. He still had a rose on his chest, but that didn't make him look more friendly. The light and shadow on his face were half bright and half dim, and no one could tell whether it was a real smile on his face.
"What are you talking about? Tell me now."
He walked straight to the center. Obviously, the circular stairs around him were higher than his position, but there were people all around him who were intimidated by his power and no one dared to take the lead.
"Then it's my turn to speak." Zelsa did not hide her sarcastic smile.
"From now on, you can call me Your Majesty." Zelsa casually unfolded the paper in his hand and threw it to Sunny beside him, without showing any seriousness.
Sunny handed it to Ye Yanze first. He only glanced at it and found that it was Bella's handwriting, but it was not clear whether Bella chose to stay or the plan failed.
However, this seal belongs to the Hermann royal family and there is no falsehood at all.
"There is no reason to ennoble someone with a different surname, not to mention that everyone here knows your origins."
Zelsa looked at the noble who had spoken, and with a wave of his hand, red flames began to burn from the top of his head, and he screamed instantly.
"Your Highness, save me!"
Ye Yanze's eyebrows jumped, but he suppressed his frown. Zelsa waved his hand with a dull look, and the red flame disappeared. The man's hair was burned, but he was safe and sound.
"Just a joke." Zelsa smiled and shrugged, then the smile disappeared and he looked at everyone: "Any other ideas?"
Zelsa looked at their fearful eyes with satisfaction, and had someone bring a crown and a red cloak with the royal emblem, a tricolor ribbon and golden tassels.
"Then we save time."
Zelsa turned around and looked straight at Ye Yanze, who remained silent, with a smile in her eyes.
Many eyes pressed on Ye Yanze's back, and the one he couldn't ignore the most was from Zelsa. He took a deep breath and stood up. Everyone was waiting for him to express his opinion.
Ye Yanze walked around the long table, stood in front of him, looked up at the smile on his face, and then took the crown. Zelsa bowed to him in acceptance, which was more like a dog waiting to be tied with a leash than an emperor's coronation.
Ye Yanze crowned him, shook out the long red cape and covered him, lowered his eyes and tied the tasseled laces for him. Zelsa lowered her head and almost leaned close to his profile, her eyes glued to his fingers.
Ye Yanze tied it and was about to retreat, but he suddenly grabbed his wrist. Ye Yanze looked up at him with a warning in his eyes. Zelsa simply pulled out the rose on her chest, gently used the trimmed branch to open his collar and inserted it.
Ye Yanze heard the sound of gasps and immediately turned away from him.
"Your Highness, I'll throw it away for you."
She approached Ye Yanze, her eyes filled with anger. This was a naked teasing, not only a provocation to Hilt, but also a blasphemy against the Son of God. But Ye Yanze just held it in his hand and asked her calmly, "Can I throw it away now?"
She pursed her lips and had nothing to say. The real powerful royal court, his slightly hasty coronation, was crowning a real powerful emperor.
Zelsa achieved his goal and directly announced the end of the joint meeting. He reacted smartly and realized that his fearlessness could only mean that his people had taken over the capital.
Those who didn't react understood the situation once they returned to the mansion and saw the people guarding the door.
Ye Yanze did not deliberately leave quickly, but was surrounded by Hilt's people and left. Zelsa did not chase him.
Ye Yanze did not let down his guard, but he didn't come until he got on the carriage, so he let down his guard a little.
The carriage wheels rolled over the flat road without any bumps. Ye Yanze leaned to the side and closed his eyes, thinking. The archmage had not come back to report to him yet, and he didn't know what Bella's situation was. At this point, she was of no value to anyone.
Zelsa is not a bloodthirsty person, and having witnessed the transaction between her and herself, it is highly likely that she will not touch her.
But he always felt that something was wrong.
Ye Yanze suddenly opened his eyes, pulled aside the curtain and took a look, and saw Sunny riding a horse following him.
When I got closer, I found that there was a scar on Sunny's face. She nodded to Ye Yanze.
"Your Highness."
Ye Yanze's heart fell back to where it was at this moment, and he only asked her: "Where did he ask you to take me?"
"His Majesty asked me to take you back to the temple and to tell you that Bella has safely left the capital, but the great wizard beside you can no longer stay with you."
Ye Yanze chuckled, but there was no smile in his eyes. He looked at Sani and said, "You always know your limits. Don't let him do whatever he wants."
Sani bowed and answered him calmly: "From the beginning to the end, the only one who can decide for Your Majesty is you."
When Ye Yanze returned to the temple, the scene was completely different. Ed was waiting at the door, looking at him worriedly. Ye Yanze did not find the guards in the temple, and Sani noticed his scrutiny.
"Your Majesty has said that you are free."
Ye Yanze smiled and asked her, "Then send me back to Hilt."
Sani calmly agreed, but reminded him: "If you don't mind, Your Majesty..."
Ye Yanze's eyebrows jumped, and he immediately raised his hand to make a stop gesture, then turned and entered the temple. He sat in the main seat in the hall, lowered his head and frowned in thought, tapping the table with his fingers in a chaotic rhythm.
"Any news from Wally?"
Ye Yanze asked Ed to deliver the letter personally to show his sincerity.
"No."
Ye Yanze closed his eyes and let him go. He sat here quietly from afternoon to evening without asking anyone to prepare dinner and without turning on the lights in the hall.
He was rarely confused, wondering whether he should find a way to leave the capital immediately. Wally might not know much about the magic circle, so he could just give up...
As soon as this thought came to his mind, Ye Yanze was surprised at himself. He didn't think that Zelsa would hurt him. He just understood clearly that if he allowed the entanglement to continue like this, the only one who would be hurt would be Zelsa.
Maybe he should be like he was at the beginning, he was good at it, wasn't he? Now he is even more obedient, just give him some sweet treats, or even just go along with him...
"Your Highness is unhappy."
The moment Ye Yanze looked up and saw him, all those thoughts turned to ashes. An inexplicable feeling of suffocation made him look up and stare at Zelsa who was walking towards him step by step without any retreat.
“Kneel down!”
Ye Yanze's voice was not loud, but very low.
Zelsa, however, didn't care that he was still wearing the bright red cloak of an emperor, with a sash symbolizing the highest power hanging on his shoulders, and he immediately knelt in the hall.
Seeing him like this, Ye Yanze became even more angry and his head felt dizzy for a moment. He leaned against the armrest and pressed his forehead.
Zelsa knelt with her head down and crawled towards him little by little. Only the cold light came through the glass window. Ye Yanze felt someone grabbing his calf. He lowered his head and looked at Zelsa who was kneeling at his feet.
"I don't want you anymore." Ye Yanze reached out and pinched his chin, the pair of light purple eyes looking down at him were full of cold impatience. He straightened his back, not even willing to bend down to get closer to him, just looking at him like that.
"So I came to find you with the dog leash in my mouth." He leaned against his legs and even pulled his hand to touch his neck.
Ye Yanze touched the collar hidden under his collar, and pulled him closer with his fingers.
"Don't you understand? I don't want you anymore."
The cold moonlight shone through the glass window, dyeing Ye Yanze's white robe with an ambiguous color. The mottled color fell between Zelsa's sharp and handsome eyebrows. He was smiling.
"It's okay, you can't lose me."
