Chapter 68 Chaos

Before she could react too much after being pushed out, the red and black snake head had already come close and bit Wei Qinghua's leg.

"Ahh! Help!"

Wei Qinghua was almost frightened to death. Cold sweat broke out all over her body, and she flapped her legs hard, trying to shake off the big red and black snake that was biting her calf.

The noise was so loud that it startled the other snakes that were coiled in place. They all stood up in fear and started to move around. Some of the brightly colored ones even crawled towards the kang.

Wei Qingmiao gritted his teeth, rolled up the quilt and whipped it towards the snakes, then took advantage of their confusion to run away like the wind.

"I'm going to find Dad, you guys wait first!"

Before he finished speaking, he had already run to the door and was about to reach out to pull down the bolt, but after trying for a long time, the bolt was still stuck there and could not be taken out.

"How could this happen? Why can't it be opened?"

Wei Qingmiao began to feel a chill on his back and his legs began to feel weak.

"Is there anyone outside? Open the door! Dad! Mom! Help!"

The wooden door clanged loudly when it was pulled, but the bolt was still firmly stuck in the groove and did not move at all. Wei Qingmiao finally started kicking the door with such force that the wall began to fall down.

"Who is it?! Open the door!"

Suddenly, he felt a chill on his calves. Wei Qingmiao froze in place, not daring to move. His gaze slowly moved downwards, and as expected, he was met with a pair of ice-cold vertical pupils.

"ah!"

The shrill screams scared the people gathered at the door and they woke up instantly, and they all stretched their heads to look into the yard.

"What are you looking at? Save him!"

Wei Jianguo kicked the legs of several old men who were watching the fun with great interest, and gritted his teeth to drive them into the yard to help.

The only family in the whole village that is causing endless trouble is Wei Laoer's family.

Wei Ci stood by with great interest and watched as the doors of her second uncle's house were demolished, and saw her second uncle and aunt, who smelled of feces and urine, being carried out with a look of disgust on their faces.

The one who suffered the most was Wei Qingmiao. When he was first dragged out, there were still three or four long, strangely colored insects hanging on his body. The little girls who were watching the fun were frightened and screamed and hid back.

"Which immortal did this girl from the Wei family offend?"

"Who knows? Their family is in chaos every day."

"It's karma!"

The aunt who was talking was covered by someone next to her mouth, "Why are you talking so much? Be careful someone might hear you."

The aunt with her mouth covered and headscarf rolled her eyes. Would she be afraid? It wasn't her who did the wrong thing.

The writhing snakes were cleared out one by one, shocking the people around them.

"Oh my god, this is the first time in decades that I've seen worms of so many colors."

Wei Jianguo wiped the cold sweat from his face and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Stop howling! This snake is not poisonous." The snake's fangs had been pulled out. It seemed that the person who did this wanted to teach this family a lesson.

"How can they be non-toxic? Look at their bright colors!"

Uncle Wei, a grown man, was crying with tears and snot streaming down his face. He pointed at the snake that was being held in someone's hand and was still curling up and down, and accused them in a trembling voice, which was much sharper.

"It's so poisonous. Your whole family would have died long ago! How could you wait until we get here? You're a grown man, and all you have are two teeth marks on your body. Why are you crying? What a shame!"

After saying that, he waved his hand, signaling everyone to go back home and find their mothers.

"What are you all doing here? Aren't you going to eat? Aren't you going to work?"

"Uncle Jianguo! Someone deliberately put the snake in my house! I can tell at a glance that person has bad intentions. You have to find him first!"

She was unwilling to accept this. Her family had been ravaged by this mess early in the morning. Everyone in the family had multiple snake bites on their bodies. If they could just catch the snakes and they were gone, wouldn't they have been bitten in vain?

Wei Jianguo narrowed his eyes and glanced at Wei Qingmiao, sighing in his heart. This girl was really spoiled by her parents.

"Do you know who it is? Do you have evidence?"

Wei Qingmiao was silent. She knew who it was. It must be that madman Wei Qingfeng. He was trying to vent his anger on Wei Ci.

"I don't know who it was! These venomous snakes had their fangs pulled out and were dumped in my house. Someone must have done it!"

Wei Jianguo put his hands behind his back and looked at Wei Laoer, "Do you think so too?"

Wei Laoer's eyes were wandering, but he finally lowered his head.

"Brother Jianguo, I really don't know about this. If you can find it, then look for it. If you can't find it, forget it."

"Dad! How can we let it go?"

Wei Laoer glanced at her impatiently. What was wrong with this eldest girl? Not only was she not as obedient as before, but she also caused trouble and offended people every day.

"Forget it, why don't you go find someone?"

Wei Qingmiao was silent. She knew who it was. Her father and Uncle Jianguo could also guess who it was, but no one was willing to point it out.

Thinking of this, Wei Qingmiao's eyes turned red. Why were all people on the side of Wei Ci and his sister? What was so good about them?

Wei Ci, who loved to watch the fun, was taken home by his second brother, with Wei Jixiang, who was also obedient and motionless, in his arms.

"Why are you watching the fun so early in the morning without eating? Aren't you afraid that the snake will bite you?"

Wei Ci shook her little head, her porcelain-white face was so white that it reflected the light in the morning light. There was a cunning look in her delicate eyebrows, and her peach blossom eyes, full of spirit, were happily curved into crescents, and her long curled eyelashes covered the gloating in her eyes.

"Don't be afraid, I'm lucky!"

As if knowing what his little master was talking about, Wei Jixiang, who was lying quietly in his arms, raised his head and barked, and at the end he let out a howl to show his agreement.

Wei Qingfeng's eyelids drooped. He glanced at the little guy in Wei Ci's arms who was relying on the power of others and sneered.

"You expect a little thing like it can trip over itself when it's walking to protect you? It's more like delivering food to those snakes."

“Woof woof woof!”

The little puppy heard his disdain, and tugged at his master's sleeves and started barking fiercely at Wei Qingfeng, baring his canine teeth that had not yet grown hard at him.

Wei Qingfeng raised his eyebrows, and easily took it out of Wei Ci's arms with his big, bony hands. He pinched the skin on the back of its neck and held it in front of him, staring at it.

"Come on, try calling another one?"

Wei Jixiang drooped his limbs, and looked at Wei Qingfeng pitifully with his small eyes. His little tail was tucked between his legs out of fear, and he made a whining sound in his throat. He looked as pitiful as he could be.

"Brother, you are so old and you still bully Wei Jixiang. It's only one month old. Why are you bothering with it?"

Wei Ci reached out and took the little guy back into her arms, rubbing its smooth and shiny fur soothingly.

Returning to his familiar and safe embrace, the little guy immediately became energetic, his drooping ears stood up, and he started barking at Wei Qingfeng again, his voice full of energy.

"A little bastard who relies on the power of others."

Wei Qingfeng pretended to pick it up, but the little guy immediately retracted his head. When he took his hand back, he started wagging his tail and barking wildly. This cowardly behavior made Wei Ci laugh.

"Be careful, don't yell at him, or he'll punish you when I'm not home."
