Chapter 22 We're all human, so why is there such a huge difference?
Meng Shiwan missed him, picked up a potted plant from the shelf next to her, turned around and left, not even giving the man a proper look.
She was almost out of the aisle with her trolley when you could still hear the supermarket employee's lingering fear.
"Hey newbies, let me warn you, don't mess with that girl. She's a madwoman, she'll kill without batting an eye."
"I was so scared just now. I thought there was going to be bloodshed. Why did you have to provoke her for no reason?"
Meng Shiwan's fearsome reputation is deeply ingrained in people's minds; they are now terrified whenever they see her.
She always felt that if she said anything wrong, her shovel would come at her and cut their throats.
Meng Shiwan parked the trailer next to the RV and first carried the potted plant in her arms back to the RV.
She also attached a magnetic tag to the bottom of the potted plant and fixed it next to the small fish tank.
This is a succulent potted plant. Inside the square pot are several succulents with round leaves, and a layer of green moss. A colorful ceramic mushroom is placed on the moss as decoration.
After placing the potted plants, Meng Shiwan couldn't wait to summon the RV perspective view and found that there was indeed an expandable option for the location of the potted plants.
She's right; the potted plants could very well expand into a farm.
Unfortunately, she doesn't have a crystal core now, so no matter how excited she gets, it's useless.
Meng Shiwan had no choice but to suppress her emotions and move supplies into the RV.
Put cured meat, sausages, sugar, honey, and other similar items into the half-cubic-meter space freed up in the refrigerator.
Garbage bags, sanitary napkins, and other daily necessities are placed in a small space cleared out on the second floor.
Bags of table salt were placed into the newly expanded cubic meter space on the second floor.
After tidying up, Meng Shiwan couldn't wait to put on her raincoat, goggles, and shovel to hunt zombies.
She urgently needs a crystal core to expand the potted plant and see what's going on.
Outside the mall, the zombies on the first and second floors have been cleared out; now we can only go to the third floor.
The zombies upstairs were probably lured down by the chainsaw trap she made earlier; there shouldn't be many left.
Instead of setting any more traps, she chose to charge straight in.
After moving the cabinet blocking the escalator entrance, Meng Shiwan stood on the escalator and slowly went up to the third floor.
As soon as she stepped off the escalator, the fresh, human flesh attracted the attention of the zombies roaming the third floor, who pounced on her.
Meng Shiwan roughly estimated that there were about a dozen.
Several of them, gutted and with their intestines and entrails dragging on the ground, lunged at her stiffly.
The scene looked disgusting.
Meng Shiwan swung her shovel, first chopping off the heads of the nearest few animals, then ran towards the clothing store next door.
She pushed the door open and found it locked from the inside. A girl's head popped out from behind the counter inside, looking at the zombies gathering outside with a terrified expression before pulling her head back in.
Meng Shiwan turned around, and the zombies surging from both sides of the corridor were only a few meters away from her, about to pounce on her.
Faced with an attack by more than a dozen zombies, it was impossible for her to eliminate them all in a short time.
If you're not careful and get caught, you'll definitely lose your life.
In the battle against zombies, you must be extremely cautious.
Meng Shiwan gritted her teeth, climbed over the railing in front of her, and jumped down, disappearing from sight.
"ah!……"
The girl who was secretly observing the situation outside the clothing store screamed in fright when she saw what was happening.
This is the third floor, and the middle section has a hollow design. If you jump from here, you'll fall directly to the first floor.
The mall has many floors; if that girl falls, she'll be severely injured, if not killed.
The girl had never seen anyone jump off a building so decisively and cleanly, which really frightened her.
After she cried out, she realized something was wrong.
As expected, the zombies, having lost their target, heard the noise and began frantically pounding on the glass door.
Once the glass breaks, she will be torn apart and devoured by a horde of zombies.
The girl was so frightened that she pressed herself tightly against the wall, her face turning deathly pale.
Just as she was in despair, she saw the slender figure in a black raincoat who had jumped off the building earlier coming back up the escalator.
The man circled around to the back of the zombie horde, swung his shovel, and smashed a zombie's head open.
The girl almost thought she was hallucinating.
He jumped from the third floor and not only did he not die, but he was also jumping around and killing zombies with great enthusiasm.
Is this even human?
Meng Shiwan did not fall on the first floor, but instead used the railing to swing back to the second floor.
These are all skills honed in the apocalypse; you wouldn't survive that long without some expertise.
The girl in the clothing store helped distract some of the zombies, and with her sneak attack from behind, she quickly took down four or five zombies.
These dozen or so zombies were no longer a threat to her.
When a zombie lunged at her, she stepped back to create distance and then swung her shovel to smash its head in.
In just a few minutes, she had taken care of all the dozen or so zombies.
They split open their heads one by one, but didn't find a single crystal core.
Meng Shiwan was somewhat disappointed, but she continued to go up to the fourth floor to kill zombies.
There are more zombies on the fourth floor than on the third floor, about twenty or so.
Fortunately, they weren't too dense; they came in twos and threes, and Meng Shiwan dealt with them quickly and easily.
There is still no crystal nucleus.
"No way, I can't be this unlucky today."
She looked down at the bottom floor of the mall, the fifth floor.
There might be more zombies on the fifth floor, so Meng Shiwan didn't rush up there directly.
Her shovel banged against the trash can at the fourth-floor escalator entrance, making a loud thud.
The zombies on the fifth floor will rush over when they hear the noise and be carried down the escalator to the fourth floor.
Meng Shiwan stood guard at the escalator entrance, cutting down anyone who came down.
The survivors on the fourth floor, seeing that the zombies had been cleared away, slowly peeked out of the store.
Seeing the slender black figure slaughtering everyone left me numb.
"One zombie was enough to scare me so much I didn't dare breathe, but this girl killed through several floors. She's too strong."
"Are the zombies we're facing really the same? One can kill me, but she can kill several floors of zombies."
"We're all human, so why is there such a huge difference?"
Faced with the adoring gazes of survivors, Meng Shiwan couldn't feel happy; in fact, she became somewhat irritable.
Reality taught her that when someone is down on their luck, they really are.
She cleared out three floors of zombies, but surprisingly, she didn't get a single crystal core.
While she was eager to expand her bonsai space and see what was going on, she cleared out nearly a hundred zombies from three floors, but didn't get a single crystal core.
Meng Shiwan looked at the shopping mall, which she had completely cleaned up, and fell silent.
If you want to continue hunting zombies, you'll have to go elsewhere; there really aren't a single zombie in this mall.
"It seems it's time to leave."
She had stocked up on almost all the supplies she needed, and the RV was basically full.
There's no point in staying here any longer.
She walked out of the mall and saw survivors pushing shopping carts and trolleys, collecting supplies from other shops in the food street and stockpiling them in the supermarket.
