Chapter 213 I Want to Go Back to See Grandpa

Su Yingxue raised her head, her face full of tears, crying like a child.

She nodded, her voice choked with sobs: "Go back, I want to go back to see grandpa..."

"I didn't even get to see him for the last time. I feel so sorry for Grandpa..."

Although Mr. Su is not her biological grandfather, over the years in Pengcheng, Su Yingxue has long regarded him as her own relative.

Her heart was filled with grief and reluctance, and tears kept falling.

Tan Zhengchu gently wiped away her tears, saying softly: "Don't cry, you will hurt yourself if you cry, and grandpa in heaven will be heartbroken."

"Let's go back now, okay?"

Su Yingxue leaned in his arms and nodded, but her tears still couldn't stop.

Her heart was filled with regret and remorse: "Grandpa, how could you leave like this..."

"I haven't had the time to be filial to you..."

Tan Zhengchu patted her back gently, then turned to the third brother and said, "Prepare the plane immediately, we will return to Pengcheng immediately."

The third brother nodded and said respectfully, "Mr. Tan, the plane is already waiting on the tarmac, and everything is ready."

Tan Zhengchu held Su Yingxue's face in his hands, his eyes full of concern: "Yingxue, don't be too sad."

"Grandpa must hope that you can be strong and not be too sad for him."

Su Yingxue looked into his eyes and felt a little relieved, but her tears still kept flowing.

Tan Zhengchu's mood also became heavy, as if something was grabbing his heart.

At this moment, Su Yingxue suddenly raised her head from Tan Zhengchu's arms, her eyes became firm: "Zhengchu, we can't go back like this."

"Grandpa died suddenly. Something must have happened."

"I have to go back and investigate. I can't let Grandpa die in obscurity!"

Tan Zhengchu frowned and said calmly: "Yingxue, I understand your feelings."

"But the most important thing now is to go back and see grandpa for the last time."

"We can slowly investigate other matters."

Su Yingxue bit her lip, her eyes full of determination: "But..."

Tan Zhengchu gently held her hand and interrupted her: "Don't worry, let's go back first."

"Is there anything you want to take with you? I'll have someone pack it for you."

Su Yingxue shook her head: "I want to take everything away, but it's too late now."

"Let's go quickly."

Tan Zhengchu nodded, his tone firm: "Okay, I'll have someone clean it up tomorrow."

"Now, let's go back to Pengcheng first."

After he finished speaking, he turned and went upstairs, quickly taking Su Yingxue's bag and his computer and cell phone.

Then, he took Su Yingxue's hand and walked quickly towards the tarmac.

The helicopter has started up and the sound of the propellers echoes in the night sky.

Tan Zhengchu helped Su Yingxue onto the helicopter and carefully helped her fasten her seat belt.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here." He said softly, his tone full of comfort.

Su Yingxue leaned on his shoulder, tears still falling.

But she felt more determined in her heart: "Grandpa, I will definitely find out the truth."

"I won't let you go for nothing."

The helicopter slowly took off and flew towards Pengcheng.

In the night sky, the stars are dim, as if mourning the passing of Mr. Su.

But a fire was burning in Su Yingxue's heart.

She knew that the road ahead would be difficult.

But she had no choice.

Su Yingqing was taken away by Zhang Daqiang and brought all the way to his home in a dilapidated building.

In the corridor, the walls are covered with all kinds of small advertisements.

Layer upon layer, like countless distorted faces peeking out from the darkness.

There were no street lights, only faint light from afar pouring in through the broken windows, barely outlining the outline of the corridor.

"This...where is this place?" Her voice trembled and she could hardly see the road ahead.

"Zhang Daqiang, where are you taking me?"

Zhang Daqiang sneered and just kept walking forward.

Su Yingqing clutched the corner of her clothes tightly, her heart beating like a drum.

She couldn't see the road ahead and could only hear her own footsteps echoing in the empty corridor.

Every step felt like walking on cotton, soft and insecure.

"Zhang Daqiang, where are you taking me?" She finally couldn't help it and asked in a trembling voice.

Zhang Daqiang didn't look back, but just snorted coldly: "You'll know when you get there."

A wave of fear surged in Su Yingqing's heart.

She couldn't help but look back, only to find that it was also pitch black behind her.

She suddenly realized that she had been taken to a completely unfamiliar place, and her mother did not come out to save her.

"Why...why didn't mom come?" she asked herself silently, tears welling up in her eyes.

Zhang Daqiang suddenly stopped, took out his mobile phone from his pocket and turned on the flashlight function.

The dazzling light instantly illuminated the road ahead and also revealed Su Yingqing's pale face.

"Why, Miss Su is not used to this kind of place?" Zhang Daqiang laughed sarcastically, "You will have to get used to this shabby environment in the future."

After he said that, he pushed Su Yingqing hard.

Su Yingqing staggered and almost fell.

She turned her head suddenly and stared at Zhang Daqiang, her eyes full of anger and confusion.

"Don't push me! I can walk by myself!" She gritted her teeth and said, "You want money, right? I'll give you money, and you let me go!"

Zhang Daqiang sneered, his eyes cold: "Money? Do you think I'm short of money? What I want is to see your pain after losing your status as the second lady of the Su family. This is what I want most."

Su Yingqing took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down.

She knew that resisting now would only make the situation worse.

She decided to obey Zhang Daqiang for the time being and wait until she had a chance to find out his true purpose.

"Okay, I'll go with you." She whispered, with a hint of helplessness in her voice.

Zhang Daqiang nodded with satisfaction and continued to take her upstairs.

There is no elevator in the corridor, only narrow stairs.

Su Yingqing followed behind, his steps becoming heavier and heavier.

"Tenth floor... Your home is on the tenth floor?" she asked, panting, with beads of sweat already oozing out of her forehead.

"What? The second young lady of the Mo family can't even climb these few stairs?" Zhang Daqiang mocked without even turning his head.

Su Yingqing gritted her teeth and did not answer.

She secretly swore in her heart that after tonight, she would find a way to leave this damn place.

Finally reaching the tenth floor, Zhang Daqiang pushed open a rusty iron door with a harsh sound.

Su Yingqing followed him into the room, and the scene before her stunned her for a moment.

The lights in the room were dim, and the air was filled with an indescribable stench, like a mixture of rotten food and moldy walls.

Su Yingqing couldn't help but cover her nose and almost vomited.
