Chapter 231 From now on, the group belongs to the seven of them

Old Mrs. Tan put down the teacup in her hand and frowned slightly.

She glanced at the people at the table, her tone filled with dissatisfaction: "Where's Zhengchu? Why hasn't he come for breakfast yet? Normally he's never late."

Dabao nodded and agreed, "Yeah, Daddy always gets up early, what happened today?"

There was some doubt in his tone, and he was obviously surprised by Tan Zhengchu's absence.

Qibao pouted his lips, blinked his big eyes, and asked in confusion: "Did Daddy stay in bed? He said before that he would take us to the zoo today!"

Her voice was soft and contained a hint of grievance, as if she was worried that Tan Zhengchu would go back on his word.

Seeing this, the servant beside him hurriedly said, "How about I go and wake the young master up?"

Su Yingxue shook her head and said softly, "No need, I'll go see him."

Although her tone was calm, there was a hint of worry in her eyes.

Su Yingxue stood up and explained to everyone: "Maybe he is too tired recently. I will go and call him."

After saying that, she hurriedly left the restaurant and walked towards Tan Zhengchu's villa.

Pushing open the door, Su Yingxue found that Tan Zhengchu was still sleeping soundly on the bed.

His breathing was steady, but his brows were slightly furrowed, and he seemed to be sleeping uneasy.

Su Yingxue's heart tightened, and she quickly walked to the bedside, bent down and gently patted his shoulder, and called softly: "Zhengchu, it's time to get up."

When Tan Zhengchu heard her voice, he slowly opened his eyes.

His eyes were still a little hazy, but after seeing Su Yingxue's face, the corners of his mouth lifted slightly, revealing a gentle smile.

He put his arms around her waist, gently pulled her onto the bed, and spun her around in his arms.

"Good morning, Yingxue." His voice was low and hoarse, with the laziness of just waking up.

Su Yingxue was startled by his sudden action, but was soon attracted by his bright eyes and handsome face.

Her face flushed slightly, and she said softly, "The children are still waiting for you. Didn't you promise to take them to the zoo?"

Tan Zhengchu lowered his head and kissed her forehead gently, then said with a smile, "Let me hold you for a while longer."

His embrace was so warm and strong that Su Yingxue was reluctant to break free.

But she still gently pushed him and reminded him: "The children are waiting anxiously. If you don't get up, they will be disappointed."

Tan Zhengchu sighed and reluctantly let go of his hand: "Okay, I'll sleep for a while, just a little while."

There was a hint of fatigue in his voice, and it was obvious that he was not fully awake yet.

Su Yingxue felt distressed when she saw how tired he was.

She hesitated for a moment, but finally compromised: "Then...you can sleep for another half an hour, and I will explain it to the children."

Tan Zhengchu nodded, closed his eyes, and soon fell into a deep sleep again.

Su Yingxue sat beside the bed, looking at his sleeping face, feeling mixed emotions.

She knew that he had been through too much recently and was at his limit both physically and mentally.

She sighed softly and decided to let him rest for a while.

However, half an hour passed and Tan Zhengchu still showed no signs of waking up.

Su Yingxue wanted to wake him up, but seeing how soundly he was sleeping, she couldn't bear to disturb him.

She leaned against the head of the bed, closed her eyes unconsciously, and fell asleep with him.

Two hours later, the sunlight poured into the room through the curtains, and Tan Zhengchu slowly woke up.

He turned his head and saw Su Yingxue sleeping soundly beside him, and a gentle smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.

He gently held her in his arms and whispered, "Thank you, Yingxue."

Su Yingxue opened her eyes drowsily and saw that Tan Zhengchu had woken up. A relieved smile appeared on her face.

"You're finally awake, the kids can't wait any longer."

Tan Zhengchu smiled and nodded: "Let's go to the zoo together."

Su Yingxue opened her eyes drowsily, glanced at the clock on the bedside, and was stunned.

"It's been two hours already?" She sat up suddenly, with a hint of surprise and dissatisfaction in her tone, "Tan Zhengchu, didn't you say you only slept for half an hour?"

Tan Zhengchu turned over lazily, stretched out his hand to pull her back into his arms, and said in a low and doting voice: "Let me hold you for a while."

Su Yingxue struggled for a bit, but he held her tighter.

He kissed her lightly on the cheek and said with a smile, "I'll keep my word next time, okay?"

Su Yingxue pouted, obviously doubting his promise: "You always say this, but you always break your promise."

Tan Zhengchu looked at her angry expression, his eyes full of pity.

He reached out and pinched her cheek, and said softly, "Why don't you just rest at home today, and I'll go explain to the children."

Su Yingxue shook her head: "No, the children are waiting anxiously, I can't let them down."

Tan Zhengchu pondered for a moment, and suddenly said: "Actually, I was going to the company today and had an appointment with a client to discuss something. However, I decided to change the time."

He paused, a smile flashed in his eyes: "Why don't I take the children to the company and let them know about the Tan Group. After all, Tan will belong to the seven of them in the future."

Su Yingxue was stunned for a moment, then nodded: "Alright, it won't hurt to let them have more contact."

Tan Zhengchu got up, changed his clothes, and went downstairs with Su Yingxue.

He walked into the villa where Old Mrs. Tan lived alone. As soon as he entered the door, he saw seven children playing happily in the living room. The old lady was sitting beside them, looking at them with a smile.

Qibao was the first to notice Tan Zhengchu. He immediately got up from the ground, ran to him, and asked with his little face up, "Daddy, where's Mommy? Why didn't she come?"

Tan Zhengchu squatted down, touched her head, and said softly: "Mommy is too tired and is still sleeping. Daddy will accompany you today, okay?"

Qibao blinked his big eyes, a little confused: "Why is Mommy tired? Is she sick?"

Seeing this, Mrs. Tan quickly came over, took Qibao's hand, and smiled and changed the subject: "Qibao, Daddy is taking you to the company to play today. Are you happy?"

After hearing this, the other children gathered around and asked in unison: "Going to the company? Really?"

"Can we go see where Daddy works?"

"That's great! I've never been there!"

Tan Zhengchu smiled and nodded: "Yes, Daddy will take you to the Tan Group today. But you have to behave yourself and not make trouble, understand?"

The children responded in unison: "Got it! Thank you, Daddy!"
