Chapter 53
Su Yazhi is getting married, but the groom is not Shen Yiheng.
The wedding day was a joke; the wedding hall and the notary office were connected, and after the ceremony, they went straight to the notary office.
As the ceremony began, the door opened, and Su Yazhi, dressed in a white strapless wedding gown, slowly made her entrance. Her beautiful face, hidden beneath a mysterious veil, amazed everyone, making her appear as noble as a princess from a castle.
Next to appear was Shen Qianmei, whose beautiful face was followed by another, even more stunningly beautiful face.
"It's really rare for a father and son to get married on the same day."
"You don't understand, this is how people in the city play."
Laughter and jeers rippled from the audience.
Su Yazhi's eyes were icy, and her sneer was as cold as ever.
Cheng Yan, however, became interested, and his cold and sharp eyes softened: "It's been a long time since I've seen you smile. It turns out it's so easy to make you smile."
Su Yazhi paused for a moment, then turned back and glared at him fiercely. His shameless face disgusted her.
When it came time for the tea ceremony, Shen Qianmei changed into a red cheongsam, her figure graceful, beautiful and elegant.
Cheng Yan still harbored resentment, but since he hadn't yet received his inheritance rights, he forced himself to call out, "Auntie."
“Yes,” Shen Qianmei responded smoothly, her beautiful eyebrows raised freely.
When Su Yazhi offered tea, Shen Qianmei let out a barely perceptible sigh. Her compassionate and friendly gaze held a hint of regret. She gently patted Su Yazhi's hand, silently conveying a sense of reassurance.
A crystal-clear jade bracelet was placed on Su Yazhi's hand. It looked like a clear spring in the sunlight, and its quality alone indicated that it was very valuable.
Shen Qianmei sincerely wished you happiness.
"Okay, thank you." Su Yazhi expressed her sincere gratitude, her bright eyes welling up with tears.
The mother seemed a little downcast. She walked up to him and offered him tea without saying a word. She was scrutinizing Cheng Yan, her eyes lowered indifferently, a cold glint in them.
Cheng Yan had already raised his teacup and respectfully called out, "Mom." But Su Sinan didn't seem inclined to take it until Cheng Yan's hand trembled slightly.
Su Sinan touched the side of the cup; the tea was already cold when she took it. A look of displeasure crossed her brow.
Sensing the gaze following her, Su Yazhi looked up and met her mother's eyes. Her mother was more indifferent than usual, and didn't even look directly at Cheng Yan.
Just as she thought the teacup was about to be put down, her mother splashed the entire cup of water right in Cheng Yan's face.
Tea streamed down Cheng Yan's face, wetting his clothes, and water droplets scattered on the ground.
The entire audience gasped in surprise, and almost everyone stood up to see what was going on.
"Are you awake?" A cold, accusatory question came from above, chilling Cheng Yan to the bone as water dripped down his head.
Even Su Yazhi was shocked and stopped in her tracks: "Mom?"
Su Sinan shielded Su Yazhi behind her, her voice strong and firm: "Ya Ya, Mom has already died once, I'm not afraid of him."
Su Yazhi looked up in surprise, her red lips trembling slightly. At this moment, her mother's strong figure was like the vast blue sky, dispelling the dark clouds with a wave of her hand.
Cheng Yan, who was half-squatting on the ground, took a long time to stand up. His knees felt numb, which spread to his toes, and he felt uncomfortable when he stood up.
Aside from the shock, he was stunned and stood there motionless for a while, as if he hadn't heard what Su Sinan had just said.
Cheng Yan unconsciously clenched the hem of his clothes, his eyes hardening: "Ya Zhi, are you going to back out?"
He approached step by step, his footsteps heavy, his eyes fixed on Su Yazhi, who was hiding beside Su Sinan.
It let out a low growl, its fierce gaze like that of a tiger or wolf.
The distance was rapidly closing. As Cheng Yan took a step closer, Su Yazhi and her mother took a step back. In a moment of panic, Su Yazhi grabbed a camera stick that was not far from her feet.
Cheng Yan was completely unresponsive at this point. Cheng Huai'an called after him from behind, but he didn't react. Even the guests who came to the wedding realized that something was wrong and subconsciously hid behind them.
"Cheng Yan, don't do anything reckless!" Shen Qianmei shouted.
The overhead flashlights suddenly went out, making the center of the stage even darker.
Su Yazhi took hesitant steps back, trying to protect her mother with her equally delicate body.
Just as they were at a loss, a loud knocking sound came from the door, and the two-and-a-half-meter-high door crashed to the ground with a loud bang.
It's light; light is shining in.
In the dim light, Shen Yiheng strode in, his black suit exuding a menacing aura. He had become much calmer during his days in detention; his dark gaze, seemingly a stagnant pool, concealed a turbulent undercurrent within. His cold, angry stares sent chills down the spines of everyone present.
He was followed by hundreds of bodyguards who stormed the venue, smashing up the banquet and leaving a mess wherever they went.
Shen Yiheng's violent gaze remained fixed on the main stage, his anger surging like a fiery dragon, his aura icy as if he were about to destroy the world.
Su Yazhi's anxious heart gradually calmed down, followed by an even more intense beating rhythm.
Cheng Yan turned around uneasy and found himself facing the two people.
The blower blew the stray hairs off Shen Yiheng's forehead, his fierce expression both overt and covert. He and Cheng Yan were getting closer and closer, four steps, three steps, two steps, only inches apart. People below the stage were panicking and retreating, afraid of being accidentally injured. The dangerous situation was almost about to erupt.
He swung his fist at Cheng Yan without warning, the force of which knocked him to the ground, a drop of blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, more glaring than the red carpet on the ground.
That single punch was enough to frighten the people below the stage into turning tail and running away in panic.
Cheng Yan quickly got up, but he was no match for Shen Yiheng. Shen Yiheng let him attack wildly, and with a nimble movement, he stretched out his long leg and kicked Cheng Yan to the ground with a crash. The table was smashed to pieces, and Cheng Yan covered his head and howled in pain.
Before Yu Jing could recover from her shock, Shen Yiheng had already come to her side. Su Yazhi tried to explain, "Shen Yiheng."
Shen Yiheng shook his head to interrupt: "It's alright, I know."
A real, warm embrace gave her the greatest sense of security, and she no longer trembled with fear.
"Call the police! Call the police!" Cheng Yan roared frantically, every movement causing excruciating pain throughout his body, as if his bones were breaking.
Cheng Huai'an still felt sorry for Cheng Yan, so he quickly helped him up and asked anxiously, "Are you alright? Hold on a little longer, there's a notarization ceremony later."
Cheng Yan looked up in disbelief, his eyes filled with sorrow. His father, who only cared about inheritance and property notarization, was selfish and self-serving, and had completely broken his heart.
On the main stage, Su Yazhi helped her mother and Shen Yiheng leave together. Not far away, Cheng Yan and Cheng Huai'an had already arrived at the notary's table.
Su Yazhi stopped in her tracks. At this moment, the situation was gradually getting out of control. She realized with a clear conscience that if Cheng Yan successfully inherited the property, given his crazy behavior, many more people would probably die in the future.
When her gaze was blank, her warm hand was grasped tightly. The stern look between Shen Yiheng's brows softened, and he looked at her, his clear eyes filled with tenderness: "Yazhi, let's start over."
Su Yazhi opened her mouth slightly, her face breaking into surprise and doubt. Afraid of misunderstanding, she didn't dare to speak first.
Recalling the past, Shen Yiheng softened.
"On the way to the police station that day, my mother and I talked for a long time, from our past lives to this life."
"But more importantly, it's about our future."
A smile flickered in his eyes, but there was too much helplessness in them: "If you're not involved in my future, what's the point of my rebirth?"
Su Ya hesitated for a moment, staring in astonishment at the man who only had eyes for her. Her heart sank suddenly, her heartbeat sending shivers down her spine and making her blood boil.
"We've all been reborn?" She found it unbelievable, her speechless excitement overwhelming her reason.
Mom took a deep breath, unable to contain her excitement: "I agree to reopen it."
Shen Yiheng chimed in, "I want to reopen it with Su Yazhi."
The surprise came too quickly, and tears of happiness welled up in Su Ya's eyes.
Not far away, the notarization process is nearing its final step. Once the fingerprints are pressed, the procedure will be complete.
Several prepared documents were placed in front of Cheng Yan, who was eager to sign the property division agreement.
Once the will is obtained, Cheng Yan will no longer be bound by constraints, will be fearless, and will have hope to look forward to. Even the act of writing will become exceptionally powerful.
Ink stains the paper, and a famous name is written with a flourish.
Cheng Yan suddenly screamed as flames suddenly appeared in front of him, instantly burning the agreement to ashes. His hand was also burned and peeled off before he could retract it.
Shen Yiheng lit his lighter, a flame appeared, and the cigarette was lit. He took a drag, and the swirling smoke blurred his charming profile.
The lighter, which flew out in a parabolic arc, landed right on the agreement and accidentally burned it.
"Sorry," she said dismissively, her tone nonchalant. Her bright eyes narrowed, as arrogant and unrestrained as ever.
The only original has been destroyed, and there is no possibility of recovery.
Su Yazhi chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with seductive charm. "You rascal."
"There's no way around it, life is just too hard. Ugh, it's so tough, why is being thirty so difficult?"
"For the safety of others, Mr. Cheng, you'll have to endure hardship for the rest of your life. Thank you for your hard work."
The two of them sang in unison, looking like the most tacit partners, which completely stunned Cheng Yan, leaving him frozen in place for a long time without being able to react.
He watched as the original document was burned bit by bit, and by the time he realized what was happening and tried to put out the fire, the paper had already turned to ashes, leaving him with only blisters on his hands.
"It's gone, it's gone..." Cheng Yan murmured softly with empty eyes, his body sliding weakly to the ground; ashes fell into the corners of his eyes, making the tears he left behind appear even more translucent.
He gazed at everything before him—the wedding, the people, the blue sky, the dark clouds—lost in thought for a long time, silently wailing, desperately lamenting the injustice of the world.
The blurry world began to spin, until the last inch of vision faded.
Stepping out of the wedding hall, the fresh air filled my nostrils, yet I no longer felt any sense of vitality.
The wedding hall behind us was engulfed in flames, the fire reaching the sky, and all the regrets were burned away by this summer fire.
Before leaving, Su Yazhi took off her wedding dress and threw all the discomfort and constraints into the sea of fire.
"Shen Yiheng, I'll pursue you in the next life."
Do you remember our villa?
"Remember."
"Go there to find me."
over.
