When Chen Yang was pulled away, he was still shouting and cursing.

Xu Wenqiang listened to his clichés and scratched her ears. Her whole body ached and she had no strength left, so she simply sat on the ground and looked at the nosy person in front of her.

Besides Su Xiaoshan, there was a middle-aged woman with bright eyes and white teeth, and a tall, handsome young man with beautiful eyebrows and eyes. These two people were neatly dressed and had clean temperaments. At first glance, they looked like they had nothing to do with this farmers' market.

Chen Yang's curse words were so harsh that the middle-aged woman's face turned ugly.

"You guys are fighting in public, don't your parents care?"

"If no one cares, I'll call the police!"

The woman pulled her phone out of her bag and was about to make a call when Chen Long emerged from the crowd, shouting, "Who said parents shouldn't intervene? It's no big deal if kids are just fighting."

"Whose parent are you? This girl's face and hands are covered in blood. Is this just a fight?" the middle-aged woman questioned.

Chen Long chuckled, "It's none of your business who I am. That little bit of blood won't cause any trouble. It'll be gone after washing. Children who grew up in farmers' markets can't grow up without shedding a little blood." He then looked at Xu Wenqiang, "Don't you agree, Wenqiang?"

Xu Wenqiang didn't want to make a big deal out of it, but she also couldn't bear to take the beating in vain, so she said with a smile, "Uncle Long, I'm bleeding anyway. How about saving some of your freshly cooked braised food for me?"

"I'll save the good ones for you!" Chen Long said with gritted teeth, pushing Chen Yang away.

"Uncle Long, you have to keep your word. There are so many people watching in the market." Xu Wenqiang shouted.

As the Chen family father and son left, the crowd of onlookers dispersed. Xu Wenqiang looked at Su Xiaoshan eagerly, hoping that he would come over to help her, but she didn't expect him to follow them.

Seeing Xu Wenqiang still sitting on the ground, the middle-aged woman bent down and asked, "Little girl, are you okay?"

"It's okay." Xu Wenqiang said as she was about to stand up, but as soon as she moved, she felt a sharp pain in her abdomen. She staggered and fell to the ground again.

"Are you really okay?" The middle-aged woman looked concerned, but facing Xu Wenqiang who obviously needed help, she always kept a distance and did not come closer.

Xu Wenqiang looked at the woman's expensive, light-colored clothes, then at the mud on her body. She could understand why she didn't want to get dirty. But she couldn't stand up at the moment, so she looked at the young man beside the woman, who had stayed out of the matter from beginning to end.

The boy was wearing dark blue pants and a black shirt. They might not have been cheap, but the color was durable. Furthermore, the boy's face was kinder than the woman's, so Xu Wenqiang smiled apologetically and said, "Classmate, can you give me a hand?"

A hint of stiffness flashed across the boy's face, then he smiled and walked over.

"Thank you, thank you." Xu Wenqiang thanked.

"It's okay." The boy said calmly.

After the young man held Xu Wenqiang's arm and pulled her up from the ground, he looked at the mud on his hands and sighed.

Xu Wenqiang glanced at the boy and, feeling guilty, kindly reminded him, "There's some on your clothes too."

"Really?" The boy looked down at his clothes, then at his hands, took off his clothes directly, and wiped the mud off his hands with the clothes.

The boy was wearing a sleeveless vest, so it wasn't a big deal. Xu Wenqiang looked at the piece of clothing being used as a rag and thought, "What a wasteful son!"

"You." The woman said with a mixture of resentment and pity.

The boy checked himself up and down to see if there was any mud on him, and said, "Mom, just buy some and let's go back quickly."

"How can we just buy anything?" the woman complained, surveying the chaotic market. "Your grandfather isn't particular about anything else, but he's incredibly particular about seafood. He doesn't think the clean, hygienic ones in the supermarket are fresh enough, so he sticks with the freshest ones from the small vendors in the market. But this market is a mixed bag, and the people there are so low-brow. We have to be careful when we buy things."

Xu Wenqiang was listening on the side, ignoring the disgust in the woman's words. Her first reaction was, "Business is coming to us."

"Auntie, do you want to buy some seafood? Fish or shrimp? Our family is in the seafood business. My mother goes to the seafood market at the pier early every morning to buy goods. The fish and shrimp are all alive and kicking. Come and take a look." Xu Wenqiang started doing business enthusiastically.

Having said that, the woman couldn't refuse, so she followed Xu Wenqiang to their stall.

"Auntie, look at this big yellow croaker. Its eyes and gills are bright red. And look at this big shrimp. It has a shallow line and is huge."

"Yeah, it's okay." The woman covered her nose, not even looking at the fish and shrimp Xu Wenqiang held in front of her. She had originally seen this little girl being beaten up, looking pitiful. But she had never expected that she would become so mercenary in the blink of an eye. It was true that you could only judge a person by his appearance.

Xu Wenqiang had grown up in the market with Xu Yanmei, so she was quite knowledgeable. She had long seen the disgusted look on the woman's face, but she didn't get angry. Instead, she said with all her sincerity, "Auntie, you are a kind person, and you just helped me. Don't worry, I will definitely not cheat you, and I will even give you a better price."

"Oh, you're such a sensible kid." The woman stopped covering her mouth and nose, raised her chin, and smiled proudly. "I want two of those yellow croakers you showed me earlier, and three and a half pounds of shrimp. And two of those pomfret, too."

"Okay, Auntie." Xu Wenqiang responded readily.

The boy watched from the side, shaking the clothes in his hands impatiently. The clothes smelled like rotten fish and shrimp, and they were definitely not suitable for wearing.

Xu Wenqiang quickly loaded the fish and shrimp, but then she remembered that her electronic scale was broken. Fortunately, Xu Yanmei always had an old-fashioned scale with a weight, so Xu Wenqiang took it out.

The woman looked at him in surprise. "You know how to use this? Don't you have a digital scale?"

"Our electronic scale is broken." Xu Wenqiang said, moving the weight on the scale bar with skillful movements.

The woman sighed and said, "Children of poor families have to grow up early."

"Who said it wasn't?" Xu Wenqiang agreed casually.

She placed the shrimp on the scale and then handed the scale bar to the woman, "Shrimp is fifteen yuan a pound, so three and a half pounds of shrimp is fifty-two yuan and fifty cents."

The woman was stunned.

The boy looked at Xu Wenqiang. She could calculate so quickly...

After Xu Wenqiang finished weighing the shrimps, she moved on to weighing the fish, counting as she looked at the scale.

"Six pounds and seven ounces of pomfret, six dollars and a half a pound, a total of forty-three dollars and fifty-five cents."

"The yellow croaker weighs seven catties and four ounces, and costs eight dollars and a half per catty, for a total of sixty-two dollars and a half.

After weighing everything, Xu Wenqiang paused for a moment, then said to the woman, "Auntie, the total is one hundred and fifty-eight and ninety-five yuan. I agreed to give you a discount, so how about I charge you one hundred and fifty yuan?"

The woman stared at Xu Wenqiang in amazement and asked in horror, "How did you calculate that?"

Xu Wenqiang said: "Of course it's calculated in my head."
