28. Senior Brother

28. Senior Brother

The wind was so strong that the sound still reached the teacher's ears.

Fu Dongqing spent a few minutes of her physics class to solve this problem.

"You are students of No. 1 Middle School. You are here to study, not to play tricks. Keep all those thoughts that have nothing to do with studying to yourself and don't let them show. Remember, the more you focus on others, the worse your grades will be."

Then the physics class lasted five or six minutes before it ended.

After class, the classroom was abuzz with complaints. Some complained that class had just ended and they were already in class. Some were throwing things around, not even having time to go to the bathroom. Others were blaming others, not knowing who was to blame...

Lin Tong sat next to Xu Wenqiang, feeling like she was being pricked by a thorn in her side as she listened, unable to lift her head. She tilted her head to look at Xu Wenqiang, who smiled brightly at her, making her blush.

"It's the next math class, why don't you take out your textbooks?" Xu Wenqiang said.

"Oh, I see." Lin Tong lowered his head hurriedly.

Xu Wenqiang smiled, got up and went to the mathematics office.

As soon as Xu Wenqiang left, someone sat down in her seat. As Xu Wenqiang's deskmate, Lin Tong received a lot of attention. Whenever Xu Wenqiang wasn't at her seat, someone would come over and chat with her about random things. But this was the first time someone had sat directly in Xu Wenqiang's seat.

"Class will start soon--" Lin Tong was about to chase the person away, but he found that the person sitting next to him was Xiao Cheng.

"I'll just say a few words and then leave." Xiao Cheng said with a smile.

Lin Tong was inevitably disappointed. She wanted to see how good students talked about others.

But Xiao Cheng didn't mention the rumors. Instead, he told her a few words about the military training and the final day of training. As he spoke, he picked up a notebook on Xu Wenqiang's desk and started flipping through it.

The notebook was just an ordinary one, with a simple "NOTE" on the cover. Xu Wenqiang didn't seem to use it for taking notes. Lin Tong saw that Xu Wenqiang only used it for daily records.

But Xiao Cheng kept flipping through it.

After talking about military training, Xiao Cheng picked up a pen, wrote something on the cover of the notebook, and then went back to his seat.

After Xiao Cheng left, Lin Tong silently repeated "Don't look at what is indecent" dozens of times, and then he controlled himself and didn't look at what Xiao Cheng wrote.

Before Xu Wenqiang reached the mathematics office, she saw Wang Rui approaching. She quickly stepped forward and took the textbook and lesson plan from Wang Rui.

"Your class teacher is keeping us in class again, right?" As soon as Wang Rui had a free hand, she put her arm on Xu Wenqiang's shoulder.

"If the teacher keeps the class going after class, that means I have to work overtime voluntarily, and I won't object," said Xu Wenqiang.

"In that case, how about I volunteer to work overtime?"

"Teacher Wang is young and promising. He should have his own principles and shouldn't work overtime casually."

Wang Rui looked at the smiling Xu Wenqiang and thought to herself that Xiao Cheng had good taste in a child like this.

She had also heard the rumors about Xu Wenqiang, but long before that, Xiao Cheng had approached her, saying that Xu Wenqiang would be criticized and that he had to help her.

"Teacher Wang, I want to help Xu Wenqiang. But I'm afraid of causing misunderstandings. After all, at our age, if boys and girls are close, people will talk about them. Teacher, do you have any ideas?" Xiao Cheng asked her with a distressed look on his face.

Wang Rui looked at Xiao Cheng's pretentiousness and said in a pretentious manner, "Alas, the teacher doesn't have any good solutions. Xiao Cheng, think about it carefully."

"I have an idea," Xiao Cheng said, "but I need your cooperation, teacher."

"I'll cooperate, you say."

"I need to have an official explanation for helping Xu Wenqiang. Just say that my teacher asked me to help. How about that?"

Wang Rui suddenly realized, "You want to use me as a cover to pick up girls?"

Xiao Cheng coughed twice and said, "Teacher, I'm just trying to help others. Also, I'm still a child, so please be careful with your words."

Wang Rui straightened her expression and acted like a role model: "Then use this official statement and help others."

At that time, she still wanted to tease Xiao Cheng, but now she felt a little regretful. She should have been more serious at the time and asked Xiao Cheng to help Xu Wenqiang more as a teacher.

After Xu Wenqiang returned to the classroom and sat down, Lin Tong waited to see Xu Wenqiang discover the extra words in the notebook, but until the end of the last class, Xu Wenqiang did not touch the notebook.

Lin Tong really didn't want to be killed by his curiosity, so he didn't care about anything else. He pointed at Xu Wenqiang's notebook and said, "Xu Wenqiang, please, take a look at this notebook."

"What's wrong with this notebook?" Xu Wenqiang picked up the notebook in confusion, and then saw that there were indeed words under the cover that were not her own handwriting.

Seeing Xu Wenqiang's strange expression, Lin Tong hurriedly asked, "What's written on it?"

"You can read it yourself." Xu Wenqiang handed the notebook to Lin Tong.

Lin Tong almost couldn't wait to take the notebook, and saw two lines of words written on it:

There is no greater virtue than repaying kindness.

Xiao Cheng visited here.

Thinking of what Xiao Cheng had just told her about military training and the drill, Lin Tong suddenly understood. It turned out that Xiao Cheng was trying to criticize her. Xu Wenqiang had helped him before, but he had been a bystander to her predicament.

Xiao Cheng wrote those words for her to read.

Xu Wenqiang didn't know the whole story and thought that Xiao Cheng was just making fun of her, so she cursed, "Are you bored?" After cursing, she turned around and saw Lin Tong looking like he was about to cry.

"I didn't scold you, I scolded Xiao Cheng." Xu Wenqiang explained awkwardly.

"I know." Lin Tong still looked lost.

Xu Wenqiang was really not good at dealing with this kind of situation, so she said, "I'm going to eat first," and then fled.

Lin Tong looked at Xu Wenqiang's back and suddenly realized that she had been sitting at the same table with Xu Wenqiang for such a long time, but she had never eaten a meal with her.

Xu Wenqiang walked into the restaurant and found it was packed. Usually, when she arrived late, the restaurant was mostly empty. Today, she was frightened by Lin Tong, so she came early.

After getting her meal, Xu Wenqiang looked around for a while and saw a table where only two girls from her class were sitting, with two empty seats, so she walked over and sat down.

She sat down and had just taken two bites of her meal when she noticed the two people sitting next to her were leaving with their plates. She thought they had finished eating, but she realized that after they left, they were sitting at another table with their plates.

After the two men sat down again, they looked at Xu Wenqiang furtively.

Xu Wenqiang looked at them expressionlessly and continued eating. After taking a few more bites, she looked up and found that the person sitting in front of her had also moved to a distant seat. She looked to the left and saw that the person on her left had just left the table. She looked to the right and saw that the person on her right had also stood up, holding a plate.

Xu Wenqiang simply put down her chopsticks and waited until they all left before she started to eat her meal with peace of mind.

As she ate, she wished those who had just left a blessing, hoping that they would all suffer from indigestion, diarrhea, and constipation tonight...

Halfway through her blessing, Xu Wenqiang realized she was still eating and had to stop. After all, she had her favorite sweet and sour pork ribs to eat today, so she had to finish the meal in front of her no matter what.

But, did the canteen chef forget to add sugar? This sweet and sour pork tenderloin didn't have any sweetness at all, and every bite was sour and astringent.

Just as Xu Wenqiang was complaining about the canteen chef's cooking skills, two people sat down opposite her.

She looked up and saw that one was Xiao Cheng and the other was——

Xu Wenqiang was stunned: "Senior brother?"
