Some of the previous life

Wen Lin was training when he learned the news of Mu Wanwan's death.

Several policemen came over and told him that Mu Wanwan had died in a car accident.

Wen Lin stood there in a daze, staring at the policeman who was speaking. He felt his brain buzzing and he seemed to be unable to hear any sound from the whole world.

He could only see the policeman's lips moving.

Mu Wanwan is dead?

How could it be possible? She was still angry and upset with him two days ago, how could she have a car accident?

This can't be true!

Wen Lin subconsciously shook his head, unwilling to accept this fact.

It was not until he saw Mu Wanwan's body that he was sure that something had really happened to her. She would never stand in front of him and make a fuss with him again.

Wen Lin felt that he was a little weird right now. Hadn't he always hated Mu Wanwan's pestering?

Now that Mu Wanwan is dead, no one will bother him anymore, and no one will quarrel with him over trivial matters anymore. He should feel happy.

But why is he so sad?

He really wanted to get Mu Wanwan up from the bed, but he knew that this would never be possible again, and his heart suddenly felt empty.

He was the one who took care of Mu Wanwan's funeral. The Mu family members cried very sadly and beat and scolded him.

Wen Lin let them vent their anger.

After seeing everyone off, he walked into the room where Mu Wanwan had lived. Everything inside was unchanged. Wen Lin sat down at the desk and found the notebook on it.

He casually opened it and took a look, then was stunned.

This seems to be Mu Wanwan’s diary.

"Wen Lin came home again today. I was so happy. I cooked his favorite dish. Unfortunately, he was called away by Lin Huiru before he could eat it."

"Does Wen Lin care about Lin Huiru so much? I am not important at all in his heart..."

"We've been married for three years, but Wen Lin still hasn't touched me. Maybe he really dislikes me. But I really like him. When will he look at me?"

"Lin Huiru is showing off to me again. It turns out that Wen Lin accompanied her to the hospital again. Then what am I?"

The more Wen Lin read, the more uncomfortable he felt. His heart was in a knot. He used to think that Mu Wanwan was a little unreasonable, but from this diary he saw Mu Wanwan's truest thoughts and some things he had never discovered before.

After reading all the contents, Wen Lin couldn't calm down for a long time. He suddenly thought of many things that had happened before. Perhaps some of them were not Mu Wanwan's fault at all.

He investigated Lin Huiru carefully and discovered a dark side of her that she had never revealed to him.

Only then did he realize that he had really neglected a lot before, and that Mu Wanwan had suffered a lot of grievances.

Wen Lin completely cut off contact with the Lin family, and he would make Lin Huiru pay back little by little for everything she had done to him.

After finding out that Mu Wanwan's death was not an isolated accident, he avenged Mu Wanwan personally.

On the day when Li Yao was executed, he went to Mu Wanwan's grave holding flowers.

Wen Lin's eyes were red, and if you looked closely you would see that they were a little swollen, obviously because he had been crying.

He stroked the tombstone gently with his hand and said in a choked voice, "Wanwan, I'm sorry, I made you suffer a lot, and it was because of me that you had this accident.

Everything is my fault, but I still want to tell you that I have never liked Lin Huiru, and I have never done anything to let you down.

I just treat Lin Huiru as my younger sister, and I am repaying her brother's kindness.

The reason why I didn't touch you in these three years was because the doctor said that your body needed good care. Later, I thought about getting along well with you, but there were too many misunderstandings between us.

Sometimes I want to explain to you, but you are too emotional to listen and don’t believe me. Over time, I feel there is no need to explain to you.

It's all my fault. It's my fault that I didn't think about the problem from your perspective and I didn't trust you. This is why we drifted further and further apart.

I regret it very much. If I had made things clear to you earlier, perhaps you wouldn't have been hurt so much. It's my fault that I failed to fulfill my responsibilities as a husband.

In fact, I have fallen in love with you unknowingly, but I didn't notice it in advance. I always felt that you would not leave me, and we would be together for a long time. Maybe if we wait a little longer, we will be able to get along better.

But I didn't consider your feelings. I didn't cherish you. I'm sorry. I hate myself a little bit now."

As Wen Lin spoke, tears began to flow unconsciously. He hated himself for being so slow to realize it.

During the time he lost Mu Wanwan, he realized that he had long been accustomed to having her around. He will live with loneliness and guilt in the days to come. This may be God's punishment for him.

Wen Lin rested his head on the tombstone, unwilling to leave for a long time...
