The men looked at each other in bewilderment. They were all thugs who had previously worked as gangsters. They had been recruited by Dai Donglin because of their competence.
Dai Donglin gave them a lot of money, and they had long since retired from crime. They all felt that their past experiences were a dark history, and it would be quite embarrassing for them to dig up their past and recount it.
But the man looked at them with admiration, and his men straightened their badges, displaying the same bravado they had when they were thugs.
