Chapter 21 Not Serious

Zhao Lei and Mi Fei looked at each other in disbelief, never expecting Dai Donglin to be so shameless.

Look how tired this girl is!

"No, how could Brother Donglin have the nerve to ask a woman to help him cross the street?"

"Feizi, do you know the difference between you and your brother? The key is that you don't have his thick skin!"

Mi Fei has learned a lot.

The woman buying quail eggs was a long-time employee of the pharmaceutical factory. She could walk to the factory's northern residential area from the north gate. Carrying her shopping basket, she was in a good mood and called out to a former colleague from her department:

"Old Huang, you said you wanted to buy quail eggs yesterday, did you manage to buy them?"

Old Huang got out of the car. "No, everyone's buying quail eggs now, they're hard to find!"

"Who says it's hard to buy them? There's a girl selling them at the North Gate. She has a lot of quail eggs, and the price is reasonable, only six cents each. Look, I bought twenty. I plan to cook a few for my grandson at noon!" the older woman said with a smile.

Old Huang perked up at the question, "How do you eat these quail eggs? Boil them in plain water?"

"You've come to the right person! Last time I had a banquet back home, the chef fried quail eggs in oil and then stir-fried them with vegetables and other things. It tasted absolutely delicious!"

Several colleagues who were also buying groceries gathered around and asked the older sister where she bought the quail eggs. When they heard it was at the North Gate, they went there with their baskets.

The pharmaceutical factory has more than 50 dormitory buildings and family quarters. This is no ordinary size. A single pharmaceutical factory can consume a lot of vegetables and fruits every day. That's why there's a free market right next to the pharmaceutical factory.

Things here sell really well, and the employees have high incomes, so they don't feel bad spending a few dollars on groceries every day.

Thanks to her older sister's announcement, a large crowd gathered in front of Chu Yu's stall. Seeing this from across the street, she exclaimed excitedly:

"Dai Donglin, this is the best I can do for you."

Her voice was clear and melodious, with a pleasant ending tone, unlike the heavy tone of locals from Deyang. Dai Donglin responded with a cheerful "hmm".

With the quail egg vendor's calls, Chu Yu's quail eggs sold extremely well.

"Girl, give me thirty!"

"I want forty!"

"Fifteen!"
