Chu Yu walked to the door and saw Chu Xiang getting off a boy's bicycle in the distance.
The boy glanced at the courtyard house in front of him and asked with a smile:
"Chu, you live here? Aren't you from out of town?"
Chu Xiang wasn't stupid. She remembered Chu Yu's instructions not to reveal her wealth in front of men.
Although their family wasn't wealthy, they had all worked hard to make their fortune. Given Yorkham and Mandarin's influence in Beijing, they were certainly among the top families there, if not the best.
She didn't want to be too flashy.
Chu Xiang smiled and shook her head:
“You know I’m from out of town. How could someone from out of town buy a courtyard house in Beijing? My mother came to Beijing to work as a nanny here, and I come here to see her every weekend.”
The boy smiled, didn't say anything, patted her on the head, told her to be careful, and then rode away on his bicycle.
