Chapter 360 My Boyfriend's Little Surprise

You have to coax your boyfriend, otherwise he'll keep doing it.

Chu Yu kissed him on the cheek, tilting her head and acting coquettishly:

"Thank you, boyfriend, I love it. This bag is their classic style, it's a great buy, you can still use it decades from now and it won't depreciate too much."

Dai Donglin was unaware that he had given Chu Yu a gift.

I used to ask others to bring them for me, but this time I bought them myself in the store, so it's different.

Since Chu Yu wasn't coming back, Shu Hui made a simple dinner.

Chu Chu shook her head. "Mom, am I not human? When my sister comes back, you cook a Manchu Han Imperial Feast. When she's not here, you eat pickled radishes and vegetables. I'm still growing."

Shu Hui found it amusing. "What nonsense are you spouting now? When have I ever missed out on yours? I just think I've been eating too much lately, so I should eat less and soothe my stomach. You can't overeat; it's bad for your health."

After finishing her meal, Chu Chu went out for a stroll. As she passed the alley entrance, she saw several old neighbors sitting on chairs, pointing and whispering about her.

"Her mother has moved into someone else's house."

"Exactly, her mother's underwear is hanging out to dry in someone else's yard, it's so embarrassing."

"I thought Cao Gang was just being a one-sided guy, but who knew Shu Hui was interested too. They've already slept together before they're even married. Who would believe they're not related?"

Chu Chu's brows were furrowed tightly.

"What nonsense are you talking about! My mom has nothing to do with Cao Gang!"

Several old neighbors, their gossip exposed, were somewhat embarrassed, but some, always eager for drama, laughed and said:

"You're just trying to fool outsiders with what you're saying. Cao Gang's family has your mother's underwear hanging out to dry. They said it's not appropriate to publicize this kind of thing; it's best to keep it to yourself. It's a good thing we spoke up for you, thinking your mother was really being bullied by Cao Gang. Who would have thought they'd already covered it up?"

"If you keep talking nonsense, I'll sue you for defamation."

Chu Chu was furious, but she didn't dare tell Shu Hui, so she could only hide in her room and sulk.

The next day, Chu Yu and Dai Donglin went home for dinner. Cao Xueying looked at Dai Donglin's newly purchased SUV from afar, and her mouth watered.

"Whose car is this?" The car wasn't particularly expensive; these days, it's not uncommon to see Mercedes-Benzes on the streets of Beijing.

But this license plate is great; most people can't get one like this.

The fact that Dai Donglin was able to obtain this license plate speaks volumes.

"I heard he's that little hussy's boyfriend. He's good-looking and comes from a good family. If your dad were to marry that old hag, with her boyfriend's status, finding you and your brother a job wouldn't be difficult at all," Aunt Cao said.

As they were talking, a tall boy walked out of Shu Hui's house. He had cold eyebrows and bright eyes, and a fierce look about him. His face and nose were very well-shaped, and he had a particularly captivating aura.

Cao Xueying had never seen such a handsome man in her life. She was so drooling that her legs were too weak to walk.

"What's the use of relying on him? It's better to seduce this man."

Aunt Cao was stunned for a moment, then glanced at her daughter several times. "How do you plan to seduce her? With your abilities?"

Although Aunt Cao doted on Cao Xueying, she had to tell the truth: this girl was a slut who had married an old man who was not young anymore and forced his wife to step down. Who knew that the wife's family was so powerful and that her sons were all ruthless.

They stopped Cao Xueying on the street and beat her severely, causing her to miscarry.

The matter became widely known, and Aunt Cao felt ashamed. Fortunately, her daughter was willing to spend money on her, and the old man would occasionally send her things, so Aunt Cao turned a blind eye.

Aunt Cao felt that her daughter was overestimating herself by trying to seduce a man like that.

The man might play around with her daughter, but he would never take it seriously.

Cao Xueying was hurt by her grandmother's gaze.

“Grandma, think about it. Even if my dad really did bring Shu Hui home, we'd still be separated from that little brat. How could she possibly help us? The connections we have are the real deal. We don't usually get to know these kinds of people, so if we do, we'll definitely do everything we can to help.”

Aunt Cao put the vegetables into the bamboo basket, still thinking her daughter was dreaming. She envied those rich and powerful people she met on the street, and even wanted to marry one of them and become an official's wife.

But one must have self-awareness, shouldn't one?

It's not something you can do just because you want to.

Cao Xueying's words made a lot of sense, but Aunt Cao felt that this was not as reliable as Cao Gang and Shu Hui. However, she was her own daughter after all, and no matter whether it would work out or not, it was always good to give it a try.

"Grandma, let's give it a try. You bring him back, then find an excuse to leave, and leave the rest to me. Even if it doesn't work, we won't lose anything, right?"

With Cao Xueying's words, Aunt Cao immediately took action. When Dai Donglin came out of the house after finishing his meal, he saw an old woman carrying something quite heavy in the distance.

The aunt suddenly cried out "Ouch!" and the things she was holding scattered all over the floor.

Dai Donglin went over and helped her pick up her things.

Are you alright?

Aunt Cao quickly shook her head, smiled, and said, "Thank you, young man, I'm fine. But this thing is too heavy, I can't carry it. Could you please carry it to my house?"

When Dai Donglin visited for the first time, he had no idea that Chu Yu had such an extraordinary neighbor. Chu Yu was always the type to only share good news and never bad, so there was no way she would complain to him.

Caught off guard, he kindly helped Aunt Cao carry her things back.

Aunt Cao was quite a formidable character. Dai Donglin originally intended to leave after putting down his things, but she forcibly pulled him closer to the door.
