The short man raised an eyebrow, chuckled, and pulled out a knife, holding it to Chu Yu's neck. "Trying to negotiate? I'm a desperate criminal; every extra day I live is a bonus. I want both the money and the woman. Hand over the money, and I'll make your suffering less!"
Zou Minzhao's eyes were red. She turned to Chu Yu urgently, "No, you must release her! You can take my life, but she's innocent. She's young, and she has a bright future ahead of her! You have daughters and sisters too, please have mercy and let her go!"
