Chu Chu was filming a love scene on set. There was a segment in the department where she jumped into the river to save someone. Chu Chu didn't ask for a stunt double and jumped in herself. The weather in Hong Kong wasn't as cold as on the mainland, but it was autumnal, and when the wind blew, Chu Chu shivered from the cold.
When Qin Weidong arrived, he saw her wrapped in a small blanket, shivering from the cold.
Qin Weidong frowned, quickly went over, and took off his coat to cover her.
Just as Chu Chu was about to say thank you, she looked up and saw Qin Weidong standing there looking quite presentable. He was wearing a white shirt and black pants, and his hair was styled so neatly that it was hard to tell how much mousse he had used.
Chu Chu frowned. "Why are you here?"
Qin Weidong wanted to punch her, but said with a half-smile, "After you finish filming, I want to have a serious talk with you about our problems!"
Chu Chu felt a little guilty. "What's the problem?"
"It's about the day your brother-in-law proposed, you lied to me, saying we'd had sex, and then the second time, when I naturally slept with you, I found out you were a virgin." Qin Weidong's expression was a little cold, and Chu Chu deliberately avoided looking at him. "So what? Do you think anyone will believe you if you tell them? You tell my sister, tell my brother-in-law, that I lied to you, that you were tricked into sleeping with me, and see if they'll believe you!"
Chu Chu snorted coldly and turned away arrogantly.
Qin Weidong grabbed her. For the past two years, Chu Chu had ignored him, sleeping with him and then running away. Every time Qin Weidong called him, she would ignore him. Qin Weidong was at his wit's end.
"Chuchu, you know I didn't come here for this."
"Then what is it for?"
Qin Weidong slowly let out a breath. "Chuchu, you slept with me, you have to give me an explanation, right?"
Chu Chu was stunned for a moment, speechless. She had to give him an explanation after sleeping with him? Chu Chu just didn't understand. It was just sleeping together, wasn't it? These days, the atmosphere among female stars in Hong Kong was very open. Chu Chu had been in Hong Kong for a long time and had been influenced by what she saw and heard, so she didn't think that the first time was anything important. She wanted to see if what she read in books and movies was true, and she wanted to see if she really felt her heart race when she was with a man.
She was just trying to verify her theory, thinking that Qin Weidong was a playboy and would be a good test subject for her. But Qin Weidong ended up getting attached to her, which annoyed Chu Chu.
Is this man alright? It was just one time; do I have to take responsibility for him?
Chu Chu didn't want another man by her side.
Chu Chu had just finished filming when a bodyguard in black approached Qin Weidong and said in a deep voice:
"Miss Chu Chu, Mr. Qin would like to invite you to get in the car."
Chu Chu was about to leave in frustration when the bodyguard came over again, "Miss Chu Chu, please get in the car!"
Chu Chu couldn't understand what was wrong with Qin Weidong. Why couldn't he take a joke? Chu Chu was forced to get into Qin Weidong's car. Qin Weidong took her to dinner with a blank expression. Chu Chu looked at the surrounding buildings and finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, the man had a conscience and didn't force her to do anything against her will. It was just a meal, and the restaurant Qin Weidong was treating her to was one of the most upscale restaurants in the world. Chu Chu had always wanted to try it out. Why not take advantage of someone treating her to a meal without spending her own money?
Chu Chu ate heartily, while Qin Weidong, seeing her heartless behavior, couldn't help but become a little irritated. "Hey, Miss, can you give me a straight answer? Do you think it's easy for me, at my age, to be courted by a young girl like you?"
Chu Chu rolled her eyes. "What's so easy or difficult about it? You're not a virgin. We were both willing participants, so if anyone's at a disadvantage, it's me. What kind of logic is it for you to ask me to take responsibility!"
Qin Weidong put his hands on his hips. Indeed, it was his fault for being a womanizer in the past, but he had changed. He was sincere towards Chu Chu and genuinely hoped to be friends with her.
With Dai Donglin and Chu Yu between them, Qin Weidong couldn't possibly be indifferent to Chu Chu.
Chu Chu refused, "Anyway, I don't want to date or get married. My mom and sister both said it's up to me, I can live whatever life I want. My mom even said that as long as I'm willing, it doesn't matter if I live like this for the rest of my life."
Qin Weidong had a headache. "We can discuss not getting married, but isn't it good to have a boyfriend?"
"No good, what's so good about it? You can't eat it or sleep on it."
"Why can't you sleep? You can sleep however you want, and do whatever you want to me. I'm just an emotionless sleeping companion. As long as Chuchu is willing, I'm ready to serve you anytime!"
Chu Chu couldn't help but laugh at what Qin Weidong said.
"Chuchu, can you give me a chance to pursue you? Give me three months. If I can't win your heart within three months, you can do whatever you want. But if I do win your heart within three months, how about you become my girlfriend?"
A serious glint shone in Qin Weidong's eyes, and Chu Chu was inexplicably moved by him. Unable to utter the words of refusal, she simply huffed:
"Do as you please! Do whatever you want!"
Qin Weidong breathed a sigh of relief. At least the girl had a conscience. For the next three months, as long as Qin Weidong kept around Chu Chu, doing her laundry and cooking for her, buying her luxury goods, and driving her around, letting her experience the benefits of having a boyfriend, Chu Chu would eventually fall for him.
Chu Chu had a banquet that evening. She wore a silver dress that looked dazzling. As Chu Chu got out of the car, a group of reporters surrounded her. The next day's newspapers were full of news about Chu Chu competing with a female celebrity in terms of beauty.
These gossip magazines are so boring. Every time Chu Chu has an event, they take pictures of her bed and desk decorations and analyze them one by one. For the past year, Chu Chu has been using Mandarin handbags and is the most loyal fan of Mandarin handbags.
