Chu Yu frowned. Kidnapping cases were common in Hong Kong, so this was not unusual. The last time Anna was beaten was not long ago. Chu Chu stood up and handed the child to Shen Jun.
"Where did they take Chuchu? Did they catch them?"
"They disappeared near the bridge, Mr. Zhou. Don't worry, we will search thoroughly. We are still unsure of their origins, so we need some time."
The bodyguards Chu Yu found for Chu Chu were all retired staff members of the local Flying Tigers. These people were highly qualified, physically fit, and had strong investigative abilities.
Chu Yu should believe they can find the kidnappers quickly, but she still doesn't dare to place all her hopes on them. Chu Yu called Yu Xiangwen, who frowned, "It's most likely Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs came out with a handkerchief, covered his mouth with a laugh, coughed twice, and then covered Chu Chu's mouth and nose. Chu Chu was stunned for a moment, then twisted away in disgust. Chu Chu swallowed hard. In Hong Kong, it's all real guns and knives; everyone's afraid of encountering something like that.
Zuo Ran was calmer than her and whispered, "Miss, what should we do? Take the picture or not?"
"How should I know? Are you going to take the picture or not?"
"He's pointing a gun at me. Do you think I should take pictures or not? It's wise to be pragmatic. Take pictures first, and wait for your sister to find someone to rescue us! You don't want to be beaten to death, dragged out, and thrown into the river to feed the fish, do you?"
Hearing Zuo Ran's words, Chu Chu could only stand up with a wronged expression. She pouted, a little unhappy. It wasn't that she hadn't suffered since she was a child, but after becoming an artist, Chu Chu had her older sister protecting her, and her life was smooth sailing. Goldman Sachs threw the script in front of them. "You have five minutes to read the script! After you finish reading, start filming! After you finish filming, continue reading! If anyone dares to try anything funny, my men will shoot her in the head with this gun!"
Chu Chu dared not say anything more. After reading the script, she stood in front of the camera with Zuo Ran.
The two had just finished filming a scene when the director yelled "cut!"
Greyhound immediately walked up and pointed the gun at their heads again. "Keep filming! Don't provoke our CEO Gao. He wants you to finish filming these scenes obediently and make money for Goldman Sachs! If you don't finish, don't even think about leaving!"
Chu Chu and Zuo Ran were both good actors with plenty of experience. Plus, Goldman Sachs Film Company was all about making quick money, so they mostly made nonsensical comedies, which were easy to finish filming. Chu Chu and Zuo Ran filmed quite a few scenes in one day and wanted to take a break, but Greyhound was pointing a gun at them again, which made Chu Chu curse inwardly.
The bodyguards hired by Yu Xiangwen and Chu Yu are investigating. They have roughly figured out where Goldman Sachs took Chu Chu, but they have no evidence. Goldman Sachs has people watching outside, so they can't get in at all.
Chu Yu was worried about Chu Chu's safety, and Yu Xiangwen said:
“Safety should be fine. Goldman Sachs is trying to force them to make a movie, and they’re definitely making a movie inside. Chu Chu and Zuo Ran are quick-witted and will definitely cooperate. But what will happen after the movie is released? Goldman Sachs is a greedy company. Once they’ve tasted the sweetness this time, it’s hard to guarantee they won’t come after Chu Chu again next time.”
"Yu Xiangwen, I'm going to Hong Kong. You keep searching and make sure Chu Chu doesn't get into any danger."
"I understand. Be careful too," Yu Xiangwen instructed.
