After her divorce, Qiao Shanshan had several men pursuing her, including a divorced man without children. Qiao Shanshan thought he was a good catch and wanted to marry him, but Wei Mingyuan wouldn't get a divorce, so Qiao Shanshan would never be able to get married.
Qiao Shanshan then arranged to meet with Wei Mingyuan to negotiate.

Perhaps because his mother had cancer and didn't have much time left, Wei Mingyuan had to take care of his mother and also had to take care of his baby. He looked much more haggard, with a stubble beard, and was no longer as spirited as before.
When Wei Mingyuan was rich, he would wear a suit and tie, walk outside with his head held high, and with his well-developed muscles, he looked quite respectable. Qiao Shanshan felt quite proud to take him out.
Now, Wei Mingyuan is no longer the spirited man he once was. He seems like a different person, depressed and unkempt, and his clothes and appearance are not as good as before. It's obvious that he's not doing well.

Qiao Shanshan felt ashamed from the bottom of her heart.

Qiao Shanshan knew she had let Xiaobao down, but every time she faced him, it felt like a stone was pressing on her heart. She wanted to live a normal life and have a healthy child, not a child like Xiaobao who had mental problems.
She just wanted to escape this environment that made her feel so burdened.
She wanted to stay far away, and even though she felt guilty, that was all she could do.
Only leaving can make her feel better.
